After my birthday we and Fernsby's came a lot closer as for some of the restrictions which were still upon me were loosened up quite a bit as I got permission to visit Fernsby's house whenever I wished and it got me quite excited as I can also take this as an opportunity to learn and perfect my magic at least theories as I visited them I was treated like how any grandparents treat their grandson which I can not describe as I never felt or treated like this before so it was exhilarating and as for magic anything I asked by both grandma and grandpa (I changed Mr. and Mrs.fernsby so it would make them nearly like a real grandson and grandparents) as I felt so much knowledge I never had about magic and it's application as not even in my world I knew these things and I was already fucking cheating with that type of knowledge.
As my training continued with James it was as usual self-defense flexibility and made me use some weights to increase my stamina as it directly affected my speed but I persisted with the arduous training and after that my studies which I have to do even it was easy too easy from my perspective but nevertheless, I did my studies meticulously and as a reward, I got to go early to grandpa and grandmas house as for a few days I was asking them to teach me how to protect my mind as last time I talked about various things and sneakily asked this questions, " wow there are so many types of potions and spells grandma it's simply amazing but if there are that many minds manipulating potions and spells and even if I don't count rune magic it's still a lot so how can one knowingly let anyone who can harm once mind stop them?" as they heard my question their mind went blank for a few seconds as they also never thought about how I should be protecting my mind from others so that they can not take useful information and threatened to kill all the loved ones of alex and manipulate him to do there bidding. As they thought about that they decided to teach me how to protect my mind.
So on the first day, they decided to teach me some theories and the difference between occlumancy and legitimacy which was, " listen to the theories seriously Alex as they will help you build the foundation for you to protect your mind and also alert you about possible intrusions into your mind as there are a vast number of wizards and witches who try to enslave others to do their bidding and take the blame for them willingly one such as the 'dark lord'" as she said Voldemort name her emotions fluctuated as anger and sadness was shown on her face but after some time, she let out a long sigh but at this time I asked innocently," Grandma what happened why did you become sad after mentioning of you know who " as she heard me she first tried to deny it by shaking her head as if saying nothing but at this time her husband came towards her and put his hand on her shoulder and said tell him," Tell him. Even though he's just a 7-year-old child but he's going to join the wizarding world someday and he will see and hear things and we both know to anyone tagged muggle-born life is very hard as the pure-blooded always try to make their life hell and also try to show them that they are superior to them in everything( means in magic, by the purity of there blood, wealth, etc.) and they also got people who are in superior positions to do there bidding and they watch from the shadows. So tell him and prepare him for everything as our world is not merciful to ignorant muggles once they are wizards they will have to face hardships and not only that they will have to face other muggle wizards as well who are trying hard and also those who are bootlicking there superiors and the purebloods alike. We have to make him comprehend and understand every little thing about our world and our politics so that he can always have a way out for him even if he makes some mistakes he can come out of that unscathed. So tell him everything."
As he said all this grandma nodded and with some resolve said, " Yes.. he has to know everything so that no harm could come to him and people dear to him as well. Listen well, Alex I was indeed saddened and angered by the mention of the dark lord but before that, you also have to learn that there is something called dark arts and also dark curses which are unforgivable and if anyone used it without any reason on others is a punishable offense and will be sent to Azkaban the prison for wizards and witches alike and it is also said that it is unbreakable prison and it is guarded by dementors who are also classified as dark creatures which feed on peoples bad memories and it's one of the most practiced tortures in that prison but the deadliest one is a dementor kiss which is used when a prisoner has done many heinous crimes against both the wizarding world and muggle world alike and if captured will be rewarded with 'the kiss'.
As I asked, " What happens after the kiss grandma." And she replied with a hint of fear," when the kiss happens to the said criminal his/her soul would be sucked by the dementor and because the criminal was alive he/she would suffer unimaginable agony until he/she died. As I heard all this I felt my body tremble a little but then I thought of all the things that happened to me( dying in the previous world because of grenades and collapsing of the roof, high jacking an unborn child's body, and then escaping with my life because of the sacrifice of the elderly woman ) I sighed internally but then looked at the two with understanding and nodded in there direction to continue and they for some reason smiled at me as they looked at each other and nodded and then looked at me and continued with there explanation, " as I was talking about dark arts and told you about one of the dark creature dementors and now l will also tell you about those unforgivable curses as well because my son my daughter, daughter in law also my little grandson all were tortured and also killed by some of the unforgivable curses which were the cruciatis to torture them for information about the order and then after not getting any information they.. they killed them all even my little grandson was also not spared from all this."
As I heard all this I looked at them as their expressions and tears in their eyes threatening to fall any moment were telling all the pain and suffering they had to go through to keep themselves sane and I felt anger but also sorrow for the old couple who suffered this all as I asked them," um...Grandma did they... did they get punished for all the things they did to your family." But the answer that I was looking for did not come as their expressions changed into anger and rage-filled their eyes but they calm themselves down as they looked at me and said," No...no some of them did get captured and were presented at the trials but they all pleaded that they were under the influence of imperius curse as they did not know what they were doing at that time and the funniest thing about all this was that Albus dumbledore."
As I heard her laugh a little but the laugh sounded hollow and ridiculing. As she continued," who we all thought a leader of the light faction against the dark lord and his death eater minions sided with them and said if they were really under the influence of imperius curse then they would become victims instead and they needed proper care because the longer influence of imperius curse can corrupt the mind and the victims need treatment for that and then the ministry joined him on this and released all the people who claimed to be under imperius and like my family many-voiced their unwillingness as they know some of them and fought them who were released and were very clear about not all of them not being under imperius but our plea was rejected by dumbledor saying that it was our emotions talking and not the logical side and also it was all for 'greater good' and some of the families trusted dumbledore so much and in his status of keeper of light they respected his words and agreed to his words but some of us we knew how albus works he is also not any different from those dirty politicians who manipulate others with there words and preach about 'greater good' and that's how it all ended with criminals becoming victim after the war and returning back to living normally."
As she said all this she took a long deep breath and sighed as her husband gently caressed her back. As they were trying to calm themselves down and not breakdown crying in front of a kid I compiled all the elements of the knowledge I received as in my previous world there were only rumors or speculation about the war that happened before Harry's birth but it was still not enough because I did not know any more of the enemy's than the already mentioned in my previous life but also not all of there names as I did not pay too much attention some times as I was only binge-watching the movies and read some books so I still in the dark about it all and there is the case of my rebirth here and there is a high chance that things will not go as they were meant to be.
As I mulled over everything in my mind and reviewed all the things I know up until now I heard a voice that woke me up from my thinking spree as I looked at grandma and grandpa who were also looking at me and I hurriedly said," sorry grandma grandpa I zoned out a bit." As she shook her head and said," No no it's okay but it was not for a bit Alex as I have been calling out your name for quite some time haha well as I look at it telling you all this was necessary as to give you some perspective of the wizarding world and I will continue to teach you all my life's worth of knowledge and experience about the wizarding world and it inhabitants so that you will not get manipulated by some word twister and get yourself into trouble but..."
As she was going to continue on we heard the honking of the horn as I realized it was time to go back home I looked back at grandma as she said," let's go and meet James as for you studies we will continue when you come here again."
As I nodded at her and walked towards the door and there he was standing beside his car he looked at us and smiled greeted the two beside me," Hello Richard, Mary. How are you two?" As Richard replied," We are good James please come inside and have some tea with us." But James shook his head as he said, "Maybe some other day today I came early as Sophia told me to bring Alex back as she has something she wants to tell him in person."
As I asked," what is it can you tell me did I do something wrong and she is mad at me, please you have to tell me beforehand so I apologize properly." As he heard me say this he laughed aloud as he said," You did nothing wrong Alex but I still can't tell you as she has given me strict instructions to just bring you back home but as an apology for not telling you you can pick something to eat on the way as we go home. I nodded but I was still thinking about what it was about but in this case, I can't think of anything as I bid farewell to grandma and grandpa and sat inside the car as we drove away.
As the fernsby's stood outside their house Mary said," He is a good kid with a pure heart but he doesn't get flustered when I told him all the negative things and our stories but tried to contemplate them and process them thoroughly which we do not see in many children of this age." And Richard agreed and said, " Truly he is a good kid and thinks things differently but we still have to be sure if we want to do 'that'. We also have to teach him many things and also make him ready before he goes to attend Hogwarts as I'm having some bad premonition he will do many great things but he will also face much more dangerous things we have to get him to be able to protect himself." Mary nodded at her husband's words and said, " I agree with your thoughts as well we have to make some changes to the plans we have made before. I will write a letter to Mr. Rumberry to come as soon as he is free to make some changes to 'that'."
As Richard said, " Very well I will also contact some of my associates as I have a feeling that we have to face more dangerous times than what we faced when the dark lord was active." As they both went inside their house.
As we were still going towards home I was still contemplating the things which were said by grandma,' just as I thought not many families were happy about the release of death eaters as well as I know for a fact that at least the current British ministry of magic is corrupt to the last man and from books and movies I can say the same about the daily prophet as well.
I have to make some haste about my theories and practical application of magic as I will not get enough time after entering Hogwarts I also have to make some allies as I will need them when the great battle comes to be on my side, not dumbledore's, not ministry and also I have to create a base for meeting and discussion of plans inside Hogwarts and outside it as well.
As I thought it all up we reached home and James parked the car in the garage, we got out of the car and went to the living room through the garage door as Sophia was sitting on the couch watching shows as she waited for us. As I went to the empty couch and sat down on it James also sat down beside Sophia. As she looked at me with a smile and said," Yes..yes I will tell you what I wanted to say but first eat your favorite cake that I made.". And I nodded and took a bite and it was flawless as I enjoyed that piece of cake and after I was done she said," As you already know that I had put some restrictions on you and in those restrictions I had also banned you from going to school because of what happened to the last school but after all this time seeing you as you did all the things and never complained about anything but accepted all my decision which in some cases were on a whim but you never questioned me or my decisions and done things like an obedient and caring son as you also helped me with housework so as I considered all these aspects and decided to give you some more freedom and let you join a school but it must be nearby and James said he will do all the paperwork so you will be attending a new school coming September. So are you happy now?"
As she asked this but in my mind, I was thinking and sighing that my time to practice magic will be cut short again as when I am home I have to be in front of Sophia as she would not let me alone for a minute and when night came and when everyone sleeps I practice my magic a little and only other place that I can learn about magic is with the fernsby's but they're also teaching me theories for now although they promised me to let me practice magic with a wand and only under there supervision. But it will still take some time to go to that phase and now school what to do about this I sighed and nodded at her question but realized that it was not the response she was waiting for so I said," thank you for allowing me to go to school again it will be awesome to go back and study at the school and make friends as I don't have any but again thank you I so happy. So can I have another serving of that delicious chocolate cake please?"
As she heard my response at the start she smiled gently as she heard my thank-you but her smile vanished when I said I don't have any friends and got another chance to make some and then she was puzzled because I changed the subject and asked for a second helping of the cake as she came out of her puzzlement she hurriedly fetched me another cake piece which I ate. Then we had dinner as she somehow seemed absent-minded at the dinner table as I thought about consoling her but saw James shake his head and I withheld my thoughts and ate my dinner silently and then we left for our rooms.
Morning came and I was back from my jogging and was eating breakfast I can see Sophia back to her cheerful self and I was also relieved to see her like that after that I finished my training with James as I am now used to wearing weights when I go out to jog and when I am training with James and he also noticed this as he increased them once more.
I have grown up to look as tall as nine and a half years old and once again I got a little stronger as I can handle any normal teenager if my calculations are right I can handle any adult at the age of ten and it will also give me a huge opportunity in the wizarding world as nobody tries to dodge the spells fired at them as the use protego this protego that spell swatting is also helpful but I have to practice it to perfection or I'm not going to use it at all and try to dodge all the spells or conjure things around me to protect my self and for all this, I have to at any cost make grandma and grandpa understand that I need to learn the practical application of magic and do it perfectly as I completed my training with James and rested and ate somethings and went to do my studies.
As I completed my studies I rushed to James telling him to take me to grandma and grandpa as soon as made my way toward the living room where he usually at but he was not there today so I asked Sophia and she said that he went out for somethings and will be back after some time as I asked if I could stay a little late at the fernsby's house and she thought about it and said, " if they don't have any problem with that then you can but not too late or I will be forced to put some restrictions on you again young man."
She said acting sternly but I nodded in agreement as I heard after some time the sound of a car being parked as James entered the living room and said to me," wait for some time and I will drive you to Richard and Mary's house." And so I waited again for some time. As we approach the car and sat inside the car Sophia came to us and said 'bye' to us as we drove off in grandma's house direction. As we reached the old couple's house Richard came out and received us as he told me, " go inside Alex she is waiting for you in the study and I went In and left them to talk with each other as I opened the study and saw grandma as she was reading a book as I greeted her and said," grandma I have to tell you somethings mother told me that I have to go to school starting from this coming September but it will reduce our time together and we will not be able to meet on daily basis. What do you think I should do grandma I want to go to school and make new friends but not at the expense of our time so tell me, grandma what should I do.
As I asked because I can't ask her to teach me magic practically directly it would seem rude and I would become someone who only thinks of them and meet them only so I can learn magic and rob them of everything they have which is partially true as I'm indeed using their emotional connection of their grandson which is now connected to me (figuratively speaking) but I also respect and love them as my grandparents so I will not force them to teach me anything which they do not think I should know now but they can always teach me as I also remember that they will be teaching me occlumency and legilimency which will also be a great boot and weapon in my arsenal.
As I thought all this in my mind she said, " oh it was a sudden decision and we also have little time to teach you everything properly we have to kick up quite a few notches as we will be having so little time together and I don't want you to enter the wizarding world unprepared and without any protections so we will continue our occlumency and legilimency lessons quickly and I will also give you some theory books so that you can memorize all of it and ask me or Richards anything if you don't understand or having problems as we have no time at all."
As she said this all Richard also nodded agreement (dont know when he posted in the study but he heard all of it when Alex told mary. Sheesh man one Batman is enough already and these wizard are now doing the same a normal person would have a heart attack with about now.) as he said," and I will be teaching you some of the easiest and useable spells and also give you a wand for practical applications and experience but you can use it only in this house and you will not take it with you without our permission do you understand kid I will not tell you again and it is for your good." As he said and I nodded in agreement as I would like to have a wand with me all the time but it's better if I don't have it this early.
Then Mary said," Alex first we will learn about the difference between occlumency and legilimency. Occlumency in basic terms is like a shield that protects your mind from other legilimens as they try to enter your mind for your secrets or to enslave you by various spells and also with some spells plant false memories into your mind as these are the things the dark lord used to do back then. So we will firstly bilud you your occlumency shield. As we don't have that much time on our hands so we will do this through legilimens as I try to enter your mind and you tell me what do you feel okay. But it will hurt and you will feel some pain."
As she said all this and I nodded in agreement we began to train and as she used her legilimency on me I felt some pain as if I had hit my head on something hard and then she withdrew from my mind as we sat there in silence as I felt the pain subsided slowly and she asked," what did you feel when I entered your mind as I never knew you are a natural-born mind shield as all those who are born with mind magic are not many in numbers as they are very rare so it will be quite easy for you to learn mind magic in comparison to others. So tell me what did you feel as I entered your mind."
And I said, " I felt sight pain as if I hit some hard surface." she nodded to my answer and said, " as you have natural-born mind magic protection so the first layer can be built in a few days but the second layer and third will take some time. Okay then we will proceed with the same way as I attack you with my legilimency you try to create a film around your mind for protection and we will continue this until you can make a strong enough shield to stop my attacks."
And so my training in occlumency began as I tried to build my shield and it smashed again and again smashed but her and this continued for a week as I finally managed to stop her attacks as I was spent and when I reached homes I greeted Sophia and ate something and went to sleep as she asked me and I said I played a lot and just too tired and feeling sleepy so she agreed and I said good night to them and went to bed and he asleep.

As Alex is learning new things every day so I tried to cut what Is not necessary and leave the rest as it is as the chapters will get longer and longer as I try to present as much as possible the things happening in his life as he's growing up.
