Blair's teeth were still buried in Lucien's arm, and she refused to let go until Lucien had let go of Maev's neck. When he finally did, Maev flopped down the floor, coughing while trying to catch back her breath.
Blair shifted herself back to human and pulled back her clothes. She glanced back at Lucien, hoping that everything would be back to normal. However, she could still see the contractions in his jaws and his red-rimmed eyes. He was breathing deeply and heavily.
Lucien wanted to calm himself, but he could still feel his blood burning in rage. He didn't know how to control his own anger. While he didn't care too much about Maev, he was worried that Blair's safety might be compromised by his own actions. Furthermore, he couldn't stand the way she looked at him like he was a monster.
He thought it would be much better for them to go away and let them do what they wanted.
