Olivia looked at the man with surprise; how could she be uninterested? She had done everything possible to get his attention. How could she leave such a good chance? she was no longer stupid to expect more from him; she knew that someone like his father will get rid of a fly like her if they had anything permanent.
"So am I with my boss or..." Olivia acted shyly. She wanted to build the image of a good girl before him. Seeing her act like this, Eric smiled. "What do you think?" He asked.
"I... Am not sure," Oliva smiled.
"You can call me Eric, I told you we are out of work hours, and this is not a business meeting," Eric smiled.
"Oh..." Olivia smiled. She was so happy that she could hardly sit still.
Soon after the two groups finished eating, Emily's driver went to get the car from where it was parked while Emily waited at the entrance. She casually played with her phone while she waited. As expected, a small blogger recently making a name for himself posted about Mr Adams and Co.
Emily smiled coldly, and Mr Adams and the rest boldly stated they quit because Emily had a lousy personality. They claim that she knew nothing and was just some spoiled brat who knew nothing but wanted to boss people around. They claim that the company has been turned upside down after her return a few days.
Emily Smiled, she had expected them to attack this way; after all, the fact that she dared to send the family out on a rainy night showed her wicked she was.
Emily raised her head when the driver stopped the car in front of her; she was just about ro enter when her eyes caught a familiar figure; Emily paused and tried to look closely.
The man wrapped his hand around the woman whose head rested on his arms. She could not be considered short, but the man was tall, so she could not rest on his shoulder. They seem to be waiting for a car, from her point of view they seem like a lovely couple.
Even if Emily could only see his side profile, she was sure he was Eric Brown. After all, in the pretends to get to know her enemy, she had been paying attention to him in the past few days. She had seen a few pictures of him in the business magazine, so she was sure she was not wrong.
*ping, there was suddenly a hong from the car behind them. They were still at the entrance of the restaurant.
The hong causes the couple to look behind; Emily caught the face of the woman beside the man as she hurried to sit inside the car. She sighed and shook her head.
She recognised Olivia, how could she not? that woman had not shown her any respect back at ABM. How could she forget the arrogant face so soon? Seeing the way she acted with Eric Brown, Emily was annoyed. She never thought Eric's taste for women would be so low. It was no wonder the woman had been so arrogant in the meeting room. She was sleeping with her boss. Why should she respect her? Emily smiled coldly, thinking of this.
Emily did not know why but seeing the two act so intimate made her angry. She felt so disgusted that she unconsciously balls her fist.
"Ahh! What is wrong with you? The kind of woman he keeps has nothing to do with you," Emily's head remained herself and let her fist go. She convinced herself that she was only angry because she hated Eric and could not get over Olivia's behaviour toward her at ABM. After convincing herself, Emily was calm. She tried to push back the image she had just seen, but the more she tried, the more it kept playing. She was so frustrated that she wished to wipe the scene away from her memory.
She felt so unlucky to have met those two just before bedtime. 'I must pray, oh God, do not let me be so unlucky next time.'
....
Eric also managed to see Emily's face as she got into the car. He could not tell why but he felt like a husband who was caught by his cheating wife.
Eric could not explain what was going on in his head, after all, Emily had nothing to do with him. in fact, they could be considered enemies.
He pulled his hand away from Olivia's waist. "I will send you home," Eric said as he politely opened the car's door for her.
Eric had not come with a driver; the person who brought the car over was a restaurant staff. Eric collected the keys and tipped him before getting into the driver's seat.
Olivia felt frustrated before they got out of the restaurant; she thought they would spend the night together, so she did not expect him to change after seeing that woman.
Olivia had turned a moment after Eric, so he only saw her side profile; she did not recognise the person. Instead, she just felt the person was familiar.
The drive to Olivia's house was quiet; Olivia opened her mouth many times to ask him what the matter was, but she swallowed the words before she could voice them out. She was afaird that if she pried into his private business, he might become irritated and dump her.
"Do you want to come in for a cup of coffee?" Olivia suppressed the feeling in her heart and asked. Eric cast a glance at her; he felt becoming impatient. The words 'get out' were at his tongue's tip, but he changed his mind.
"Alright," He agreed. He knew that there was more to the coffee, but since he had already asked Olivia to be his kept woman and she consented, there was no point in refusing her invitation.
Olivia's face brightened up when she heard him; she had not expected him to accept. She was just reluctant to let him go after seeing how he looked at the woman at the restaurant. Although she knew their relationship was for mutual benefit, she still wanted to win his heart. How could she let another woman snatch him away before she had enough chance to tie him to her?
