The party was supposed to start at 7 pm, but many people arrived at the hotel where the dinner would hold at six-thirty. This was because a few reporters would be present to interview people.
Some people just wanted to get the chance to interact with others and build connections. Emily was supposed to arrive early, but since she was going with Samuel, she did not come until six fifty-five. Since it was a small party, there was no need for Samuel to arrive early.
Samuel was the first to step out of the car; he extended his hand and helped Emily. Emily was wearing a dark blue dinner gown which reviled her shoulder, partly covered by her hair that was let down. "thank you," Emily gave Samuel a warm smile. Samuel smiled back, but he did not let go of her hand. Samuel felt comfortable with their closeness. as they walked towards the hotel entrance, Emily felt a burning gaze on her forcing her to look towards her left.
