"I heard someone is spreading rumours that you are dating her?" Jeff answered.
"And you think that someone is Miss White?" Samuel looked at his assistant.
"of course, who else would benefit from this kind of rumour?" Jeff replied. He was confident about his answer. In the social circle, people took advantage of others whenever they could.
"is that so?" Samuel did not believe it; he had met Emily twice and knew that the lady loved her work; she was not the type that sought shortcuts.
"of course, she must have planned to spread the stupid rumours when she invited you for the birthday party. Now a few investors would give her face because of your name," Jeff tried to analyse the situation.
