Eric was working in the office when he heard a knock. "come in," Eric raised his brows; nobody was to disturb him when he was busy. Grey walked inside with a light step, " boss, look at this," he said, handing over the iPad to Eric.
Eric raised his head and looked at the screen; on the page, there was a screenshot of Sky group announcing their intention to cancel their partnership with Steam.
BREAKING NEWS: Sky group cancelled their partnership with Stem for Bad leadership.
This came as a surprise; after all, it was less than five hours Olivia called to inform him that Mr. sky had gotten their package, but then again, the man cared about his family the most. Even so, he had not expected the man to move so quickly; as he glanced through the article, he realized that the reason Sky group gave was related to the last trending topic about the three managers that lost their jobs at Stem.
"Sir, should we employ those managers, it will be good for the company's reputation," Grey asked.
"no," Eric did not bother to think about it; he knew very well that with those managers' behaviour, it would be difficult for any good organization to want to employ them. No employer wishes for an employee that lacks the ability to respect their boss. He was not stupid, anyway; he knew that Sky group had backed out of the cooperation because of their threat. To him, Sky group were just looking for a reason to support their action of the partnership and reduce the compensation they would have to pay. After all, every businessman is guided against losing money the most.
"boss," Grey could not understand why his boss would make such a decision, he wanted to remind the man of the benefits, but he swallowed the words as they got to the tip of his tongue.
"you can leave if there is nothing else," Eric said when he noticed the man shut his mouth shortly after. Grey nodded his head and walked away while Eric frowned. He had not gotten his desired result; he would have preferred Sky group to attack Steam's work ethic or project nabot itself; when this happens, the company will be in trouble. Thinking about this, Eric called Oliva.
"contact the Sky; there is no sincerity in his words at all," Eric said. The Sky surely knew what he was up to, but they realized such a statement. At first, it looked like they were kicking Steam when it was down, but Eric was not a fool.
Steam will definitely clear the air, even if they don't, people will move on from the news, and the company will continue to grow. However, he wanted to finish off the company; as long as the quality of their products was doubted, the company would never do above average even if it survived.
"I will make the call, sir," Olivia replied and hanged up the call.
Five minutes later, Eric's phone rang. It was an international number. Eric frowned his brows before picking up the call.
"Mr Brown," the voice came from the other end of the phone; it was mr Sky.
"Yes," Eric answered; he had not expected them to call him so soon. Although he did not make a move personally, the Sky can figure this out.
"You are pushing the Sky group too hard; we are not a pushover; we had lost a lot of money to compensate Steam for the contract; this was your request, yet, you dare ask us to delete our statement and say, there is something wrong with quality. So is your target Steam or Sky group because it looks to me that you are after us," Mr Sky said.
Eric took a deep breath; he knew that Sky group saying one thing in the morning and another in the evening would not look good on them, but he did not care. Even if he did not want to fight Sky group head-on, the Sky would not come for him either, especially now that they had their secret in their hands.
"You have a choice, Mr Sky. You still have a day to think things through," Eric said and hung up the call. He could tell that Sky would want to keep their secret buried, so he had to get out the most benefit. But, since he has resolved to walk this path, he must see it to the end; after all, the rivals could not become friends in business.

"Come in," Eric said.
Olivia walked in after getting permission. "What is it?" Eric raised his brows. She could have called his office instead of coming over. When Olivia saw that she was not welcomed, she felt despondent, but the feeling lasted only a few seconds. Eric had already told her he was her boss in the office, so she should not expect him to be warm to her. she also did not dare to act out of place and get him angry.
"Sir, Mr Sky seems to have been offended by our new request. I remember you said, ' you did not want to push your luck so much and fall out with him," Olivia paused and looked at Eric.
"You don't have to worry; I will take it from here," sounding less cold this time. Eric thought that she had come to play around during work hours but seeing that she had something important to ask him, he became friendly.
Olivia looked at him, surprised; She had wanted to ask more about the situation; in the end, she took a deep breath, replied "Okay," she turned around and left the office.
