Juliet's Diary
Hearing that Dad was home, I quickly closed my laptop and opened the bedroom door to go down the stairs. Dad came with Mom. Apparently, they went home together. I looked at the shopping bags the housekeeper had brought and carried in the back.
"Juliet," Dad called out to me. "I heard from your mother that you were suspended."
I smiled hyperbolically. "Yeah, I'm making a protest video because the Jordan High School Principal is treating me unfairly.
Dad and Mom looked at each other.
"Okay." Mom touched my face. "I always teach you to learn to be responsible for everything you do."
Duh, it doesn't matter if it's suspended. I can do a lot of things without going to school. Yeah… even though the reason for the suspension is really annoying.
"I'm still going to school to talk about this," Mom continued. Her smile grew.
