"I am dead. I'm really dead..." Sage looked at the knife embedded in his chest and sighed in annoyance, angry that he'd die before he had enough fun, but he hoped he'd transmigrate so he could continue to live.
The street was empty, and Sage didn't blame the people who ran off as who'd stick around if someone jabbed a knife into someone's chest? Sage groaned in discomfort, trying to make himself a bit more comfortable for his last moments on Earth when a soothing voice spoke.
"I can save you. I been watching you for a day now to decide whether or not I want to Embrace you, and I am satisfied with what I've seen." A woman with long blond hair and a beautiful face looked down at Sage with a smile of admiration.
"You didn't hesitate to kill him, that is something most people lack. The intent to kill. Luckily, I can grant you another shot at life. Do you want to accept my offer?" Sage looked at the woman, admiring her beauty for a moment before shrugging and then wincing in pain.
"Well, I think whatever you're offering is better than death, right? What exactly do you have in mind? What did you mean by Embrace? I doubt you meant a hug." Sage rolled his eyes, looking into the woman's light green eyes.
"Correct, no points for you though. I'll turn you into a vampire, and whether or not you survive is up to you. Do you dare to accept or will you choose to give up?" The woman gave Sage a challenging smile, looking at him with interest, wondering what he'd choose.
"Why wouldn't I accept? I find the concept of vampires quite interesting. Earth is a lot more entertaining than I gave it credit for. Turn me into a vampire then." Sage laughed, ignoring the ache in his chest as he stared at the woman's pale immaculate skin.
"It won't be pleasant as your body will change drastically. Of course, I added a surprise into the mix, but you won't be able to do anything about it so just accept it. My name is Emilia Nightrose, the clan leader of the Nightrose clan. It might hurt, so bear with it."
"More than having a knife in my chest? Well, whatever, being a vampire sounds kind of cool anyway." Sage watched as Emilia knelt next to him and pushed his head with her cold hands to the side so she could reach his neck. Emilia's mouth opened and her two canines lengthened into dangerously sharp fangs.
With a smooth and practiced motion, Emilia bit Sage's neck and drank his blood slowly, savoring his flavor. The surroundings were quiet, and the setting sun cast a golden hue on the horizon, appearimg very beautiful.
After a while, she pulled away and bit her wrist, allowing her blood to drip into Sage's mouth. Without much struggle, Sage gulped down her blood, and a cold sensation spread throughout his body. After making sure Sage drank enough, she pulled away and allowed the wound on her wrist to heal.
Sage absently watched as the skin on her wrist knitted itself back together until not a mark was left. As he was watching it, he slowly felt the world around him fading as his heartbeat grew louder in his ears.
"Thank y-you." Sage mumbled as his eyes closed against his will, so he mumbled a few words of thanks as he had always tried to give gratitude where it was do. Feeling the darkness pressing in on all sides, Sage relaxed in Emilia's arms and slept.
...
The sound of something moving woke Sage from the deep sleep he was in, his mind recalling with perfect clarity why and how he ended up in such a situation in the first place. He had gone out for a walk when a man attempted to rob him.
After a brief scuffle, Sage slashed the man's throat with his own blade, but the latter managed to retrieve another knife and stab him in the chest before falling down dead. The surrounding pedestrians scattered like startled birds, running off without looking back.
It was then he met Emilia, the vampire who gave him a chance to continue living. Sage opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling, every uneven ridge and bump standing out despite the distance between them.
Sage sat up and looked down at the metal cot beneath him that should've felt cold, but instead he found it lukewarm. His eyes fell to his body which was vastly different from before, no doubt a change brought about by becoming a vampire.
His chest had two small bulges on it while his stomach and abdomen was slim without a trace of excess fat. His skin was a light brown color, reminiscent of caramel. His hands were smaller and he could clearly tell that he had shrunk from 5'11 to a smaller size.
"Well, I guess I understand I can't possibly retain my old looks, but to turn me into a little girl is really..." Sage sighed when his ears picked up the sound of footsteps drawing near. He looked at the room he was in for the first time and realized it resembled a prison cell with no toilet.
The only entrance and exit was a sturdy metal door that swung open as someone familiar walked in with a smile on their face. Emilia wore casual clothes while holding a bag that simply enhanced her beauty to an almost supernatural level.
"Do you like the look? I tried to make you as pretty possible." Emilia handed Sage a mirror and sat down on the bed next to him. Sage looked at his reflection and was stunned! His face resembled a doll, perfect and beautiful, too beautiful down to the last detail
"Haha, I knew you'd like it! Now, I'll answer whatever questions you have. As long as t's not naughty." Emilia giggled, making her enchanting features look bewitching and seductive. Sage gulped when he saw her assets jiggle, wondering who was lucky enough to have such a beauty.
"Oh? Do you want to feel mommy's breasts? They're quite soft you know?" Emilia gave Sage a playful smile as she pushed her chest forward with a proud glint in her eyes. Sage felt the urge to smack her seeing her proud look.
"Wait, don't tell me..." Sage held his head as if he had a headache while Emilia started laughing happily, annoying Sage a bit. "Yup. You're now my daughter. I don't care if you cry or not, I won't change my mind. I've wanted a daughter for decades now."
"Why am I female? I could've been your son!" Sage honestly didn't care about his gender as he remained interested in females, but he did feel that he'd miss his little brother that had accompanied him faithfully for two decades.
"Well, Miranda had a daughter and she bragged nonstop about her, so I wanted a daughter as well. Don't worry, mommy will pamper you lots and lots." Sage felt that the world was too cruel. He lost his little brother due to someone bragging about their daughter.
"Well, now that you've woken up, I brought you a present." Emilia pulled a blood bag from the bag as well as an intricate ring with a rose design curling around it. Sage took the blood bag and held it, feeling the warm blood within as a primal thirst prompted him to open his mouth.
He could feel his canines changing, getting sharper and longer until they could be seen easily to anyone if they were close enough. With a swift motion, Sage bit the blood bag and felt a stream of warm blood flow into his mouth.
"Mmm! Sho goood!" Sage didn't stop drinking, a moan of satisfaction leaving his lips. Emilia smiled fondly as stroked Sage's now waist length silky black hair, humming an old song of hers with happiness.
The blood no longer tasted like metal but like a heavenly elixir that seemed to have come straight from the heavens. Sage kept drinking until the bag was finished, releasing a sigh of contentment as the thirst faded into the background, still there but more manageable.
"Okay, not that you've had a drink, how about I tell you about the hidden side of the world?" Emilia smiled as patted Sage's head, but no matter how Sage tried to bring himself to pull away, he couldn't. Emilia chuckled seemingly knowing what he was trying to do.
"Vampires are pretty honest as we feel things, happiness, anger, sadness, emotions, more intensely. You were an orphan and never had parental love, but I am now your mother and I won't ever leave you. Never." Emilia spoke with a firm tone and Sage felt something deep within him crumbling.
Red tears flowed from his eyes as he started to cry, and no matter how much he tried to hold it back, he couldn't. Emilia smiled lovingly and hugged Sage and rubbed his back gently while holding back tears herself.
"T-thank you." Sage mumbled under his breath, but with them both being vampires, Sage knew Emilia coule hear him clearly. After a second of thought, he added a single word that made Emilia smile happily. "Mom."
