Seeing the momentum with which Wu Wei haad arrived and the incoming Xiao Luo who had unleashed all his strength and destructive aura, the demons came to a halt immediately.
Wu Wei went close to Wu Ming and punched him right on his stomach. Wu Ming who had already been close to death coughed up a fountain of blood before passing out helplessly. Before he could fall forward a stalwart arm took control of his body and handed him to Xiao Luo.
If Zhang Jian had been here, he would have been shocked to find that this Wu Ming was none other than the Boss Wu.
It meant that the Boss Wu who sold him ink and art supplies was actually the son of the leader of the Eastern Clan.
Seeing the endless forces being lead by the World-serpent, both the old men decided to escape into the Eastern Clan's territory before deciding what to do with Wu Ming. It wasn't that they weren't able to deal with the demonic horde on their own but that they considered it nothing but troublesome at best. Also they had been carrying the injured Wu Ming as well.
After they entered Eastern Clan territory, they easily lost their tail and reached Wu Wei's residence.
Before Xiao Luo could tend to Wu Ming's wounds, he was stopped by Wu Wei who carried out the task himself instead of letting Xiao Luo do it.
No matter how many mistakes Wu Ming might have made, he still couldn't bring himself to truly hate him.
What happened years ago was that Wu Ming who had always been deviant and cunning had come upon a cultivation technique that could have helped him get stronger at an extremely fast pace. After getting tired of the Demonic World's constant attempts at invasion, Wu Ming got tired of it all and settled on earth as a simple businessman; that is until the minion of the higher ups, the black cat discovered him and demanded that he return to fight for their cause.
After Wu Ming was out of danger, Wu Wei gave out a sigh of relief and went out to sit next to Xiao Luo in order to pour out all his grief and sorrow in front of his friend.
"Now that he has ended up offending both the Immortal World and the Demon World, there is no way he can stay alive without my protection. I am sure that was what he was thinking when he decided to come see me as well."
Xiao Luo rolled his eyes and retorted, "Maybe he just wanted to see you since he knew his life was in danger. What's wrong with a son trying to see his father? Don't judge him so casually. If he had only wanted to save himself, he only had to listen to the orders of the Demonic World to do that but he refused to do so until his dying breath. Why do you think that is?"
"It's not that I doubt your words. It's just that it will be very hard for even myself to help him out now that he is considered an enemy to both sides. To be honest I am worried that he won't be able to make it out alive from…"
Wu Wei was about to say something before Xiao Luo interrupted him.
"Old man Wu, so what if he is an enemy to both the Devil and Immortal Worlds. There is another faction that no one dares to offend; someone who has the power to stand against either side. Only that person can help Wu Ming now. You will have to lower your head and ask him for help if you want to save your son."
Wu Wei was astonished to see that Xiao Luo was actually serious.
" Someone like that really exists?"
"Not only does he exist, I have even successfully handed over my Wang Yan to him as well. If her fortune is great, she might manage to learn something from that person. It would be her fortune of a lifetime. That is your only solution now as well. Believe in me. We can definitely save Wu Ming." Xiao Luo seemed to exude confidence out of every pore while saying this which made Wu Wei even more hopeful.
After the next course of action was decided upon, they waited for Wu Ming to wake up before setting out for Mount Dabie.

As soon as Wu Ming woke up, he started wailing in grief and regret over what he had done in the past. The grief and regret had been the very reasons that he had stopped cultivating and had been living a simple life as the village shopkeeper.

As soon as Xiao Luo heard that he wanted to slap the idiot to death. Both the father and son were similarly impulsive. How could the apple have fallen far from the tree?
"Don't be impulsive. Listen to me first and then it is up to you whether you want to continue with your self-harming plan or you want to follow my suggestion."
Xiao Luo forcefully said to Wu Ming with a serious face.
He briefly explained about the master that they were going to meet and suggested that Wu Ming lower his head and enter his protection.
Wu Ming knew that he could not survive on his own and decided to go with Xiao Luo's suggestion.
As such the party of three sneaked out and left for Mount Dabie in order to meet Zhang Jian.
As soon as they arrived near the hut, the first to welcome them was none other than the yellow dog Cerberus. Cerberus had already sensed their aura and had come out of teb hut to see what was going on since he had felt multiple powerful auras at the same time.
