Chapter 9 - Mediation Session

The chaos that occurred at Cak Irwan's satay stall last night had to result in them being summoned before the head of the RT (Neighborhood Association). The village administrator has now acted as a mediator or mediator to resolve the dispute. Moreover, the commotion involved physical injuries that caused one of them.

Lia suffered an injury to the elbow due to being pushed by Ana, which ended up hitting a wooden bench in the shop. In addition to the injury, her forehead was also slightly scratched due to the fingernails of Ana who wanted to grab her hair.

Lia coherently explained the chronology of last night's events, after being given the opportunity by Mr. RT to speak. Not to forget, he also asked two girls—Susi and Hilda to be witnesses, because they were both also involved in a material tour led by Ana. In fact, the two of them didn't seem to have any intention of breaking up, but instead chose to corner the shop out of fear.

The mediation session initially went smoothly, but the atmosphere became noisy. The reason is because Ana's family feels disapproved and completely distrustful, if the gentle beloved child has behaved in such a barbaric manner that it hurts others.

"Don't play with your cellphone. While there are many people, let's slander me again. Let everyone know, so you don't have to go around selling lips." Spicy Lia said that, after she finished delivering her explanation and felt exasperated when the person concerned was busy playing with her cellphone.

Sekar—Lia's mother gently stroked the child's shoulder as a gesture to calm her down. Receiving that touch, Lia began to calm down a bit. Even so, her sharp gaze pierced right into Ana's net. So that the girl became a little shrunken.

"Miss Susi and Miss Hilda, now it's your turn to talk. Please be very honest," said Mr. RT after the situation was felt to have calmed down again.

The two girls looked down in fear, their hands clasped tightly together in fear.

"Come on, tell me, Sus-Hil!" Ana shouted angrily, looking at the two friends. Not just staring, but giving a kind of signal that they don't know what that means.

"Miss Ana, please be quiet for a moment because it's not your turn to talk," said Mr. RT, which made the girl frown. "Please, Miss Susi or Miss Hilda are welcome to speak."

"S-so… w-what did Li-Lia say… ummm…" Susi stuttered, her hands gripping Hilda's arm tighter.

"So what Lia said is true, Mr. RT. The three of us talked about Lia and Mr. Bimo. But Ana first started the conversation. About the accusation of pesugihan and about Lia being taken care of by Sugar Pig, eh Sugar ... sugar..."

"Sugar Daddy," added Lia quickly.

"Well, yes Sugar Daddy!" a little hoarse, Hilda said so then took a deep breath and exhaled roughly. Apparently when she said at length like that, Hilda did it in one breath to dare to speak the truth in front of everyone.

As soon as she finished speaking, Hilda lowered her head while gripping Susi's arm tightly because she was afraid of Ana's piercing glare.

"Su-su, what was that?" asked Mr. RT, who was actually interested in the modern term.

"Sugar Daddy, Mr. RT," said one resident who took part in the mediation session.

"Hadehhh… English. But wait, sugar is not sugar? If you're Daddy, you're a father, so it means you're Sugar or is it Mr. Sugar?!"

Instantly appeared various expressions of the residents in the room. Some were chuckling while covering their mouths, some were confused because they didn't know what it meant. But not a few also massage their foreheads because they feel dizzy with Mr. RT's analysis which is so funny.

"Essentially, Sugar Daddy means Uncle's savings, Mr. RT. Yes, just be a mistress, get money from them. But more importantly, we need to finish this mediation as soon as possible, Sir."

"Oh My God!!!" said Mr. RT, which immediately shocked the people around him.

"Why, Sir?" asked one of the residents.

"Right, we have to finish this mediation. Astagfirullah, because I even discussed something else." Once again, the answer from Mr. RT again invited various expressions from the residents.

---

The confessions from Susi and Hilda have become evidence that Ana has indeed spread slander about Lia and her father. Because of that, Ana was ordered to immediately apologize and was also asked to take responsibility for her actions for hurting the girl.

Hearing the decision, Ana cried profusely because she did not accept the decision. Because according to her, it was not only Lia who was injured but he also experienced the same thing.

Still sobbing, Ana pulled the long skirt she was wearing to reveal the bruises on her shins. Suddenly this got a rebuttal from one of the residents, who was at the location at that time.

He really didn't see the fight between Lia and Ana. But with his own eyes, he saw that Ana's feet had hit a traffic sign when the girl was being picked up to take her home.

At that time, Ana and her mother and father shame grew. Even though they weren't accept it, they couldn't help but apologize to Lia and her family. Then regarding the injuries suffered, Lia has the right to demand compensation from Ana's family.

However, the good girl didn't want to do it on the grounds that the wound was not serious, even though it did hurt. Such was the generosity of Lia and her family, which of course immediately made the residents more reluctant. Meanwhile, those who have already eaten fake news, seem to have begun to understand and regret for having believed it without knowing the real story.

The dispute has been resolved amicably and is considered over. Yes, it was over in front of Mr. RT and the residents. But actually, it's not finished personally in Ana's opinion.

Likewise with Lia, even though she has forgiven Ana's attitude towards herself and her family, it does not mean that she will forget what the girl has done. Lia doesn't hold grudges, but she just "marks" the girl who has the heart to act like that.

Perhaps, at this time God is giving back to Ana. Because in fact, this spoiled but actually evil girl has often challenged hostility to Lia. However, she did not pay attention to it because she did not see it as something important and should be considered.

But slowly, Ana's attitude is getting worse. And the climax was last night, where Lia and Ares heard firsthand how Ana vilified her family. Even blatantly slander that is so severe.

Lia hopes that, after this incident, Ana will not repeat her actions. Because, of course Lia will not stay silent. It's up to Ana to bully her, but she doesn't accept that it is her father who has to be insulted.

---

Unlike Lia, this incident was a real blow to Ana. However, the 'blow' was not something that made her feel deterred, but instead became a kind of fuel that further fueled the feelings of envy and jealousy that resided in her chest.

'Watch out, Lia! I will repay you for what you did to me. There's still one big thing you don't know and of course… will make you regret and cry of blood!'

That's how Ana's inner voice reflects how evil the girl is. We don't know what the plan will be. But for sure, she will repay what Lia has done. All, just waiting for the game begin.

"Camellia my daughter, I want you to promise that this will not happen again. Alright, just shut up. You'll be tired later."

"Father, but Ana is too much. And again, she was the one who attacked Sis Lia." Ares defended his brother because he witnessed the feud firsthand.

"Ares ..." Sekar the mother reprimanded him and signaled to be quiet for a moment and listen to what his father was saying.

Meanwhile, Lia just looked down, looking at his fingertips as her father spoke. She didn't want to interrupt at all and would wait for his father to finish speaking.

"I just don't want us to have conflicts with our neighbors. Moreover, Mr. Arya and Mrs. Sari are both flower farmers like us. You definitely know how hard it is to be a farmer when orders are low. If Ana is jealous, so be it. Let the jealousy eat away at her heart. Because envy is a disease of the heart. The one who loses is the person herself."

With a soft tone but full of firmness, Bimo gave this advice to Lia, more specifically to the whole family.

"Do you understand, Nok?" continued Bimo to which Lia nodded in understanding.

For a moment, silence enveloped the little family. Only a soft sigh could be heard from Bimo and Ares' snorts, which seemed to be still carried away by emotion because he was annoyed with Ana.

Finally, Lia spoke up because her father never spoke. She understood that Bimo had given her time to answer.

"Yes. Lia understands, OK. Lia apologizes for making a fuss. Actually, Ana has behaved like that many times and Lia doesn't care at all. But last night, Ana's words really went too far. It doesn't matter if Ana wants to badmouth Lia, but Lia doesn't accept that she badmouths you, Father. Yes, no one can!"

Lia's voice almost trembled when she said it all in front of Bimo. With all her might, she held herself back from crying. Her hands clenched tightly.

"What does she know? Lia's father is not disabled. But because God has given him a misfortune. After all, are there really people who want their feet to hurt? As easy as her own forehead holds my father is disabled, let alone weak. Lia doesn't accept it."

The words slipped freely from the girl's pink lips, as tears rolled down her cheeks. Lia was crying.

Ares who saw that, immediately moved to sit next to her sister and embraced her gently. For the first time, he saw his sister cry in front of him and even in front of Mom and Dad.

So far, nobody never once seen a Camellia Mettadevi cry. Even when her father had an accident and had to undergo surgery, Lia did not cry. In fact, she is the strongest and always strengthens her mother and brother.

But now, the beautiful village girl is crying because she does not accept that her father is insulted and abused by anyone. Because for her, nothing can bring down the honor of Bimo the father, not even by Mr. RT or Mr. Regent of course.

"Sis Lia, don't cry anymore… your snot is stuck," whispered Ares, whose body was immediately pushed by Lia to move away.

"Don't get too close! After all, who do you want to hug? Get off!" slyly Lia answered, while wiping her tears and snot that spilled out.

Sekar and Bimo looked at each other and smiled, seeing the behavior of their two children who didn't feel like they had grown up.

"Slutty Sister! Her snot stuck to my shirt. Just wash it, I don't want to know!"

"Big no, weekkk!"

Lia got up from her seat, then walked closer to her father. She stood behind Bimo, then wrapped her arms around the man from behind. Even though she had to be hindered by a wheelchair, Lia still felt happy because she could still hug her father like that.

"Lia loves Daddy. Nothing can be bad about Dad. That's the Point!"
