Scott
The next time I opened my eyes, I felt a lot better. My throat doesn't hurt anymore, and the wound on my stomach hurts less. I'm still in Lara's room, and I smiled to see her sleeping on the seat beside the bed with her head leaning on her folded arms beside me. She's mad at me but never leaves my side, and it makes me fall in love with her more.
I softly ran my fingers on her hair, which stirred her up. She quickly looked up and held my hand.
"Do you feel pain anywhere? Do you feel dizzy? Do you want anything?" She asked in a voice laced with worry. I know that she's still mad at me, and at the same time, she still loves me the way she looks at me now, and all I wanted to do was pull her in my arms, but I held myself. It might earn another beating.
"I want to use the toilet," I answered. She quickly stood up and helped me up. She put my right arm around her shoulder, but I pulled it away.
