Chapter 4 - [4 Revenge]

[4 Revenge]

Two months ago, in another country.

Creak! Cackle! Boom!

The sky was becoming dark while the lightning flashed. In no time it had started to rain. Inside the Shadow Group's building, Ethan stood by the glass wall and stared at the gloomy sky.

Several cars arrived in front of the building. Seeing the people being dragged out, Ethan turned around and went down.

Recently two gangs started to hunt down each other. It became so extreme, the government started to notice. Between these two gangs, one was his!

Ethan Han looked at them frigidly. The people appearing before him were a bloody mess. The rain falling on them slowly washed away the blood.

Van Alroy, his friend and close advisor, neared him and whispered something. Ethan's face changed as he looked in the distance.

After a while in a public cemetery.

Van Alroy alongside his underlings dug graves for their people. Ethan looked at his enemies and forced them to dig graves as well. Under the cold rain, he stood still while the rain that fell on his skin felt like sharp needles.

As he witnessed the coffin being lowered into the ground, forgotten memories resurfaced in his mind. His struggles, just father's cold look, his evil stepmother's victorious smile on his mother's death… everything flashed in his mind.

Ethan grabbed his aching forehead and took Inna sharp breath. The chilly air chilled his insides and his gaze.

Death... he had witnessed it after a very long time, so long that he had already forgotten how it felt to lose someone you had just talked to yesterday.

After Van Alroy sorted everything out, he looked ahead only to see him drenching in the rain. Immediately, he was enraged.

"Boss!"

Van grabbed Ethan's hand. He felt the biting coldness of his skin and flinched. He quickly dragged the man inside the car and turned on the heater.

"What will you do with them?" Van asked as he looked at the men of the other gang standing under the rain. Ethan moved his blue eyes on Van and whispered, "kill them."

"Well… I want them to work in our newly bought mine! What do you say?" Van Alroy smirked as he murmured and looked outside. There he saw the people being pushed into several helicopters. "Rather than killing, it's better to make them pay for their whole life!"

Driving helicopters on a rainy day is risky enough and despite knowing that they were willing to go to the illegal mines, just to avoid his torture game.

'Sigh! My games are better than going there! These fools!' Van shook his head at their foolish decision.

Ely Alroy, Van's twin sister looked at them through the rear view mirror. Her eyes stayed on Ethan the whole time as her fingers tapped on the steering wheel.

In the past, she had witnessed many deaths and cut many dead bodies. She had become numbed to deaths. The cemetery could not inflict any feelings on her.

Ethan Han had a heavy mood for a few days. Both Van and Ely sensed it, but no one mentioned it. One was occupied supervising their new mines, while the other was engrossed in experimenting on some of the captured gang members.

One day while Ethan was busy, Van burst into his office.

"Yo Boss, someone called again and repeated that crap. Should I say you can't go?" Van asked for his confirmation while holding his smartphone.

Ethan Han who was cleaning his favourite collection of guns paused. He stared at the little gun he was holding and fell into a dilemma.

News of his paternal grandpa's serious health condition was not something new.

Also asking him to go to China to see that man in his possible last few days, nope, it was not new at all.

Ethan felt he had become a maniac in recent years and he was surely a disappointment to his grandfather. However, this time he felt a lump in his throat and was reluctant to say no again.

He was somewhat unsure as he glanced at Van who was still holding his phone.

It was a given that the person on the other end would hear whatever he had to say. Suddenly he remembered his father… that stepmother and that… bastard of a brother. Unknowingly, a sneer escaped his lips.

Ethan lifted his head and shouted, "Tell them to be prepared. I am coming to make their life a living hell!"

Van Alroy smiled as he exited the room. He looked at the phone screen and asked, "Old man, did you hear what your grandson has just said?"

Han Erlang, who was holding his phone in one hand and using the other to water his expensive imported grass, replied, "Hmm."

The old man did not know that agreeing to his wish was just a facade. His dear grandson was coming just to check on his little pet he had abandoned a long time ago, in an orphanage…

Next day.

Ming City International Airport.

An iconic man with an envious figure came out from a private aeroplane. The moment he left the exit, he saw several cars waiting for him outside. People could not help but peek at him curiously.

Ethan flashed his billion dollar smile at the young girls and caused their hearts to flutter. He shifted his sunglasses a little when he saw his old man coming out of the car. He strolled ahead while ten burly mens dragged his suitcases.

Ethan hugged the old man. The man visibly stiffened. Ethan did not think much of it and retreated. He took off his huge sunglasses and asked, "Grandpa, aren't you sick? Why are you here?"

However, the old man looked embarrassed and distanced himself from Ethan Han. Then Butler Chen bowed to the young man and said, "Young master, I am not your… grandpa. Old master is inside the car."

"..." Ethan Han, who had the impression that all old people here looked the same.

"..." Han Erlang who had come to receive his precious grandson even though he had serious health problems, "Cough! Cough!"
