Chapter 44 - What’s Wrong With Jaden?

After the incident where Lily and Jaden were separated from the monitoring of their respective parents, now Daniel, Jenni, Michael, Kylie, Jaden, and also Lily have sat together in a cafe there.

They hug each other. If the adults were busy talking to other adults, then so were Jaden and Lily busy playing in the playground in the cafe.

They seemed happy to play there while waiting for their parents who were busy talking in a different dimension with Jaden and Lily.

"Have you lived here long?" asked little Lily suddenly to Jaden.

A nod of Jaden's head gave Lily because it was true that Jaden had been there since he was born, in fact, he had never even moved from there to another country.

Lily was busy nodding her head, she thought Jaden was there because the holidays were the same as her and didn't stay there.

"What is it?" Jaden asked Lily suddenly when he saw the little girl busy pursing her lips.

"Can't we play together again when I'm done with vacation?" asked Lily who was now gradually starting to be able to say her version of long sentences.

Jaden was silent and stared at the little girl for a long time. Now he realized that the little girl looked a little lonely, more or less the same as him, only the difference was that sometimes he could work with Edward and Axelle and play with his two uncles who had been taking care of him, so he didn't feel too lonely.

"You want to keep playing with me?" Jaden asked making sure what he was thinking was the same as the little girl's thinking.

Lily gave Jaden a cute nod.

"Okay, we can still play, I'll persuade Mommy and Daddy to come to meet you to play."

"Is that true?" Lily asked with a twinkle in her eye looking at Jaden.

Lily was really happy to hear the statement Jaden had just said.

Jaden quickly agreed to Lily's question and told the girl if he hadn't come to see her then the little girl shouldn't be discouraged because he would definitely come to see her.

Little Lily immediately nodded - nodding her head in agreement with Jaden's words.

After that, they went back to playing together without knowing the time.

"Looks like Lily has become a lot more cheerful after being with Jaden, isn't it like that dear?" Kylie whispered to Michael who was beside her.

"You're right, I've never seen her smile like this, and I thought Lily would cry a lot when we were separated from her, but Jaden was able to calm Lily down."

Jenni smiled looking away at her son who was playing with Lily. Not much different from the thinking of Michael and Kylie, actually Jenni was almost the same thought.

Honestly, this was the first time she'd seen Jaden playing with kids his age, but he had a mature attitude. She thought her son would be like most children in need of protection, or a great fear of being separated from adults, but the reality was quite the opposite.

Her son was able to act maturely to protect and nurture a little girl who was only one year younger than him.

"Niel, doesn't Jaden get along very well with Lily?" said Michael suddenly.

"Hey! My son is still small, why are you like an old man who is setting up his child?" softly Daniel, who still longs for the position as Jaden's parents.

"I'm just asking, why are you being such a jerk, aren't you Jen?" Michael whispered trying to find defense from Jenni.

Jenni was just busy chuckling seeing her adopted brother who was so very happy with her only son Jaden.

"Stop it - you guys, the children are still small, you're actually talking about matchmaking, even if Jaden is paired with Lily I think I'll agree," said Kylie, who seemed ambiguous, not knowing whether to side with Michael or Daniel.

Daniel rolled his eyes lazily. He was quite surprised by the thought of his best friend who was too far ahead when his son was only three years old, while Lily had just turned two.

Isn't it too early to discuss such things?

That thought was in Daniel's mind.

Jenni couldn't stop laughing at Daniel, and also Michael with their own thoughts.

It was long enough for the four adults to be there, as well as the two kids who spent time together playing in the cafe's game center.

"You're still here for long, Niel?" Michael asked Daniel.

"Possible."

Only an ambiguous answer was given by Daniel to Michael because actually, he couldn't stay there long, it's just that his little heart didn't want to leave Jenni and Jaden.

He still misses the atmosphere like a whole family that he's been waiting for a long time ago.

"Then you?"

"I'm only here for a week, so only a few more days here," Michael replied casually and Daniel nodded his head in response.

Immediately it occurred to Daniel to keep the young man with his small family there until he managed to persuade Jenni to marry him.

'Looks like I'll have to have a separate talk with Michael after this, I don't want to delay it any longer.'

"Uncle! sob... Uncle," Lily whispered, suddenly running with her small footsteps towards Daniel.

"What's wrong Lily?" asked Daniel trying to match his height with Lily.

"Jaden.. sob... fell," Lily whispered as she pulled Daniel's hand.

Daniel spontaneously rounded his eyes and stood up asking Lily to take him, as well as the others who immediately followed Lily's footsteps.

Daniel's heartbeat is of course like a roller coaster right now. There was a great feeling of worry when he heard his son's name, not to mention the condition of Lily who was crying while running like earlier.

.

.

"Jaden?" Daniel whispered when he found Jaden busy rubbing his slightly injured knee.

Daniel immediately approached Jaden and asked Jaden what happened.

For some reason, as if his mouth was tightly shut, the little boy didn't make a sound, and only stared at the boy who was much bigger than him and was not far from the front of him.

"He-he's uncle," Lily whispered hesitantly while pointing at the boy who was much bigger than them.

Daniel looked at Lily and Jaden alternately, and don't forget the boy that Lily pointed at.

'Is this boy the culprit?'
