Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11 - EMOTIONAL FEELINGS

Ginny's face turned very tense as she realized who the person who had cleared her throat was.

How could Dave be in the same place as her? And that... she is damn woman!

Ginny clenched her fists, but she was still trying hard to control her emotions and not be bothered by it

"Dating?" Dave asked scornfully.

Ginny wanted to throw a napkin on Dave's face, or throw a glass of red wine at her ex-husband, to make the man realize that he can't do as he pleases.

"Hendry Cho, The Royal's business partner," Hendry who realized the hot situation immediately stood up from his seat and extended his hand towards Dave.

Dave shook Hendry's hand with an annoying smile on his face.

"I know who you are, I think you should date the woman in front of you," said Dave.

"Didn't you hear what I said earlier Mr. Dave?" asked Hendry casually. "I said I was a business partner of Ms. Albright."

Dave pursed his lips down. "You even know that this woman is already a widow, that you call her 'mistress' like that?"

"Naturally, her company is very famous and ..." Hendry glanced at Ginny. Because the news of the divorce between Ginny and Dave was clear, the media didn't smell it at all. Or maybe not.

"I told him. Since as business partners, obviously Hendry and I should call each other comfortably." Ginny intervened. She spoke clearly and sharply. "And I think it's best if what happens between me and my business partner has nothing to do with you and none of your business." Ginny added.

"Indeed," Dave responded. "But, wouldn't it be better if I told your partner to be careful of you,"

Ginny smiled coldly. "Shouldn't I be the one to tell your partner what kind of man you are? Or should I not tell her at all because I think the woman who's waiting for you right now is just as scumbag as you are."

"You're defending how classy you are?" Dave asked mockingly.

EHEM!

This time it was Hendry's turn to clear his throat. "Excuse me, I think our small talk is over, Mr. Dave,"

Dave raised one eyebrow, looking at Hendry who was an inch taller than him. "Is this a subtle way for you to kick me out? "

"If you interpret it that way, then that's your business." Hendry replied casually.

"Please go, and wait for me in court." Ginny said again.

Dave arrogantly walked away from Ginny's table and also Hendry. But just a few steps he walked, Ginny held Dave.

"I think we'll meet in two courts. I'll charge you with embezzlement as well as fraud, Dave." Blame Ginny.

Dave smirked. "You can try it, Albright."

Then Dave really left.

"Sorry," Ginny said softly to Hendry.

"That's all right. Ih's not a big deal, Miss Albright."

"Thank you." Ginny responded with a smile. "So where were we just now?"

"I think our conversation stopped just as we were discussing emotional training," said Hendry.

"Ouch." Ginny nodded her head. "Well, that's it. And I'm too late to learn things like that,"

"At least you can try by expressing all your emotions,"

"I did," said Ginny. "A little." She added.

Hendry chuckled at Ginny's expression when the woman in front of him said that.

"But that sounded good. You threw him off, in a classy way,"

"Is that so?" Ginny looked at Henry. "I take that as a compliment."

"Yep."

The next few minutes were used by Ginny and Hendry to talk about more things, which in the end made Ginny amazed at Hendry Cho. Strange thoughts began to swirl in her head. She had been completely opposed to it, but it could save her company.

But Ginny didn't want to rush into that decision. Right now, she just thought that it suddenly came to her mind just because she drank too much and made herself a little drunk.

***

Dinner with Hendry Cho made Ginny a little more excited than before. At first, she felt that Hendry Cho was a very real threat to herself and her company. But now her view has changed a bit.

"Fiona is asleep?" Ginny asked Ivanka, who was watching her favorite evening news show.

"Your daughter has been sleeping since seven o'clock," said Ivanka. "So how was your job today?"

"That's... Ummm," Ginny tried to choose the right words.

"You'd better clean your body first before you tell me. You need extra energy to tell everything, right?"

Ginny grinned and left Ivanka. She went into her room and looked at Fiona for a while before she decided to quickly clean herself up by taking a hot shower.

"Momma will keep you happy even though worse things might happen to both of us," Ginny whispered to Fiona.

Fiona squirmed slowly, she blinked her eyes before she finally drifted back to sleep.

For Ginny, bathing is no longer a fun thing. She can no longer enjoy cleaning herself by lingering in the bathroom. She had a lot of work to do, and shs finished it very quickly. And taking a long bath will obviously take up time.

"Done?" Ivanka asked in amazement when she saw Ginny return so quickly.

"E-em." Ginny nodded. Her head was still wrapped in the towel and she let a few drops of water drip freely from her hair.

"Looks like you've had dinner," guess Ivanka.

"I did," said Ginny. She sat next to Ivanka, her hand reaching out to take a jar full of choco chips.

"That's good. You don't let yourself get tired of working all day without refueling, do you? I know you're not that stupid even though you act stupid a lot of the time."

Ginny chuckled. "You didn't ask me where I ate?"

Ivanka said casually, "I also believe that you will at least fill your stomach with good food."

Ginny snapped her fingers. "You are right."

"Good. So is my Ginny back now?"

"Yeah, it seems so," said Ginny a little unsure.

Ivanka took the TV remote and turned off the channel. "So what's the story?"

Ginny began to tell Ivanka all the events that had happened to her today, right up to the dinner meeting she had with Hendry.

"I'm not surprised," said Ivanka.

"I thought so," Ginny said with a snort.

Ivanka laughed softly, afraid that Fiona would wake up.

"Are you that sure of Hendry?" asked Ginny.

"I have always believed in him. Yes, even though Hendry and I don't know each other, I really believe that this Asian man can make you melt,"

"It's not like that... I mean this..."

"Yes, yes, yes. I understand very well Miss Albright, whom I have great respect for. " Ivanka responded in amusement.

"I see that you're not linking this to just business, Iv," Ginny gave her a suspicious look as she said this.

"Indeed," Ivanka said with a chuckle. "What's the harm anyway? "You deserve better than that bastard Dave,"

"Obviously that's wrong, Iv. I'm not even going to have a divorce hearing this week."

"No problem," said Ivanka. "You deserve to be happy, Ginny."

"But my relationship with Hendry wasn't like that," Ginny protested.

"So what kind of relationship?"

"Business associates," Ginny replied.

"Good, so you agree to the cooperation that Hendry offered?"

Ginny shook her head. "Nope. Umm ... I mean not yet,"

Again, Ivanka chuckled, amused by Ginny's behavior. "But you said it just now; you stated that you and that man are business partners."

Ginny closed her jar of choco chips and gave her an annoyed look. "Yes, yes, yes. You always win when it comes to arguments, Mam."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Ivanka replied as she got up from her seat.

"Don't you just stay?"

"I'll be back here in the morning,"

"But it's very late outside, "said Ginny. "You'll be spending the night on the road anyway if you come home at this hour."

"So you're going to let me stay here and keep nagging you about your Asian guy Hendry?"

Ginny waved her hand many times right in front of her face. "No, no, no."

"Then, good night, Miss Albright. "Have a nice night," said Ivanka while wearing her long, thick coat.

"Drive carefully," said Ginny.

"You clearly know that I'm a good driver,"

Ginny waved her hand. "Thanks for looking after Fiona for me."

"With pleasure." Ivanka smiled and left.

Ginny decided to go straight to her room. Climb into bed, lie down, and close her eyes until she falls asleep. At least that was her plan for tonight, but reality always interfered with her plans. The shadow of a company that will not be saved, Dave, who is satisfied with her downfall, and Fiona's fate, which may be heavier than this.

Just as it was running through her mind, her cell phone rang.

"There are no debt collectors who collect outside working hours," Ginny mumbled as she discovered that it was an unknown number calling her.

With full courage Ginny answered the phone call.

"You?" Ginny looked surprised when she heard the voice from the other end of the line.

How could this man know his private phone number?

"You still there?" the man asked.

"Ah, yes," said Ginny quickly. "But ..."

"If you're wondering where I got your personal cell phone number from, that's pretty easy for me. Just like when you asked your secretary for my number. " He said. "Though it looks like you still haven't saved my number,"

Ginny looked awkward to hear that.

"Sorry if I disturbed your night, I just wanted to make sure you got home."

"Uh, that..." Ginny chose the right words.

"Looks like you're home. Good, you've calmed me down."

Then a low beep cut off the phone call between the two of them, before Ginny even had time to correct her hanging sentence.

"What did he say? Calm down? Who the hell is he!" Ginny snorted as she named the contact number.
