Ginny started her morning as usual, with a busyness that was always doubly busy every day and in the end she would grunt in annoyance after finding not a single file missing from her desk plus the phone kept ringing from her secretary who always said this client was waiting. on line one, and other clients waiting on line two.
Not to mention the personal phone calls that keep bothering her from office hours to late afternoon.
"May I come in?"
The voice of a man in the doorway of his study caught Ginny by surprise. Ginny lifted her head with her right hand still holding the pen and her left hand holding a file she needed to review.
"Hendry?"
"Yep." Hendry smiled when he saw Ginny was still amazingly stunning even though the woman who was now in front of him had many problems that could not be solved in a short time and also alone.
"What is it?" Ginny asked bluntly. She dismissed all her memories last night about Hendry contacting her just to ask if she had arrived home or not. She didn't want her relationship with Hendry to be awkward so she chose to keep her distance and return to being formal as usual.
"Just dropping by," said Hendry casually. "Looks like you don't have an appointment for lunch with a client, do you? How about we have lunch together?" offered Hendry.
Confident as usual. That was what was going through Ginny's mind at the moment.
"Uh, that ..." Ginny pointed to the files. "As you can see, I can't leave all this even if it's just for lunch,"
"That excuse again," Hendry raised his eyebrows skeptically. "You can't keep using your pile of work files as a shield to keep you away from me,"
"I'm not avoiding you,"
"Self-defense?" Ginny glared at Hendry.
"What are you saying?" "Sounds like that," said Hendry casually.
"Oh no you're annoying. Smart as usual," Ginny snorted.
Hendry stepped closer to Ginny.
"We can have lunch here if you mind stepping out of this room,"
"You're forcing me," Ginny responded irritably.
"We can have lunch while discussing the business we are going to do," joked Hendry.
"I haven't even agreed to it yet."
"I'm sure you agree."
Ginny ignored Hendry's rambling and looked down again to review the files and the contract agreement that would not be able to review itself like magic. Remember, this is the real world and not the Harry Potter series.
From the corner of her eye, Ginny could see Hendy was busy looking for something to order. Honestly, she didn't care at all for Hendry who was only busy thinking about lunch today. Ginny was only thinking about how she could save her company without selling it at all.
"Oh, damn it!" Ginny unconsciously said swear words in front of Hendry.
"There is a problem?" asked Henry.
"Yes." said Ginny.
"What's wrong? Maybe I can help you?"
"My problem is you," Ginny put down the pen she had been holding and began to look at Hendry's face very seriously. "Well, yes, dear Mr. Cho." Ginny started off with her usual savage look. Shows her charisma without exception, even though her mind is very chaotic. "I have a lot of work that almost left me out of breath, not to mention I'm struggling to think of ways I can save my company from the hands of the bank that might take this place up in the near future. Then ..." Ginny caught her breath and slightly annoyed that Hendry was not at all surprised by what she had just said.
"You can continue in peace," said Hendry.
Ginny stared at Hendry, who was actually more annoying than she imagined the other day. "Was I not clear when I said it? You're clearly bothering me."
"There's a last word you haven't finished yet, Miss Albright," Hendry reminded.
"Yes, it was you. I meant it was you." Ginny snorted in annoyance as she said that. "You're busy looking for what food to order, carefree and also looks fine. And annoyingly again, you do this in my office. Don't you have other things to do besides stalking me?"
"I have to stalk you so I can get a chance to cooperate with you," Hendry responded very casually. "How about pizza? I've been looking for a good pizza or burger,"
Ginny rolled her eyes, amazed by what Hendry had said to her.
"Up to you." Ginny now turned her work chair so she could see the beautiful view outside London through the tall glass. The window pane touched the floor up to the ceiling, Ginny deliberately made it so that she could enjoy the sunset leisurely when she was tired from work. Unfortunately, this time she was tired of dealing with Hendry who was persistently approaching him.
The phone rang and Ginny turned back in her chair. She could see Hendry was still there, finished ordering lunch and grinning when Ginny glanced at him.
"Yes?"
"E-em."
"Then?"
And so Hendry could hear Ginny keep saying 'yes and I understand' throughout the phone call.
Five minutes later Ginny hung up the phone and Hendry was sure the face the stubborn woman was now showing was ten thousand times irritated.
"I'm not going to ask," said Hendry suddenly.
"Good." said Ginny.
Then she gasped, stared at the damn files which he now thought was of no use at all, reluctant to clean it up and then he looked at Hendry with a serious look.
"Would you buy The Royal if you sold it to you?" asked Ginny.
"Your jokes are really good when you're upset," Hendry replied amused.
"Do I look like a girl playing around?" Ginny asked again. Her light brown eyes flashed sharply as she looked at Hendry who still thought this was just a joke.
"Obviously you're absolutely not going to sell the only company you own. It's the heart of your life, you put your all into this place. You're not going to let it go suddenly like this," Hendry responded. "That's what you often tell me too. And I certainly understand that very well."
"I mean it," Ginny said in a low, resigned tone.
