Soon after the 10 chosen participants entered their pods the monitor in the laboratory in front of us immediately lit up and start displaying the scenario for the second round of the challenge.
The scenario for the second round was an evergreen forest as it was basically the best place for a Hunting competition.
And slowly the participants started appearing on the screen one after another.
The 10 participants seem to be standing on a stone platform which appears to be the safe zone for this evergreen forest scenario. Much like the previous round's scenario this one similarly provided the participants with an armory where the participants can choose from different types of weapons.
The participant number '3' was also roaming near the stream a couple of miles away from the camp of the group under participant number 2. But he doesn't seem to have any plan of meeting or joining with them since his strolling direction seems to be totally opposite to that of the group.
But the armory didn't only have weapons it also provided ropes, traps, and other hunting-related stuff since the event is a hunt.
The armory of this event was providing the participants with all the necessary things for a normal hunting mission.
Much like the previous event the participants after the second round were also given a period of preparation time. And since the Hunt was not as same as the previous first-round event of mock battles they were given more than necessary time to prepare.
The timer for the event has already started ticking and the participants were given a total of 15 minutes as a preparation time for this second event.
' This is good with 15 minutes in hand these idiots could plan something proper to hunt down the old bastard ', so I thought.
But the reality isn't always what we hope it to be, it didn't even take a few minutes for the Idiots to start fighting among themselves And they soon ended up in split up the group.
Well, what can expect from a group of wanna-be heroes, as soon they entered two idiots who had ranked number '3' and number '4' among the participants immediately left the armory.
It seems like those two idiots didn't want to join or make a group and so they left the other participants and entered the forest all on their own.
[ Author: seems like those two are suffering from a serious case of 8th graders syndrome may the Gods have mercy on these poor souls, lol]
And the remaining 8 participants first decide to make a group but they soon started an argument and were divided into a group of two.
The reason the groups decided to split up into two was due to their difference in the way of approaching this event.
One of them wanted to go on the offense while the other wanted to be on the defense this difference in strategy cost them to divide into two groups.
The two groups are under the leadership of the two people who were ranked number '1' and number '2' among the participants from the previous round.
The person who had ranked number '1' is the one who wanted to go on an offensive strategy while the person who is ranked number '2' was the one who wanted to go on a defensive and trap strategy.
Well, if you ask me with such a strong opponent like Clark who's a veteran 'A' rank adventurer and on the other side, we have no prior knowledge about a hunt or a proper understanding of the situation at hand it is better to go on the defensive trap strategy.
' Seems like the guy has a good head on his shoulder after this event I have to note down and learn more about this number '2' person. '
Soon their argument went out of control and they started arguing about issues that were off the topic.
And finally, the group was divided into two with 5 individuals in one group and 3 individuals in another group.
The 5_person group was formed under the leadership of number '2' and the 3_person group was formed under the leadership of number '1'.
The group under number '2' was formed with participants number '6', '8', '9','10'.
While the rest of the numbers '5' and '7' went under the number '1'.
After the argument, this group of three people didn't even make any plan or preparation for their offense they just took their weapons and entered the forest just like the two idiots who entered the forest previously.
' The event hasn't even started yet and I have already lost all my hope on these guys'
And to make this worse even though we are the audience of the event even we're not shown any video or footage related to the opponent or object of the event that is the target, Old Clark.
So basically, all information about him is a total mystery even to us. His deployment, preparation, and other stuff are unknown to us and only god knows what the old fucker is up to.
Well leaving that old dog aside since he is not shown we will talk about the participant groups, the group under number '2' soon started making preparations for encountering their prey.
They first split up and started the search for a perfect location to set up their base under the idea of their leader.
The group soon found a small stream of the river which seems to be the only source of fresh drinking water in this evergreen forest scenario.
Looking at this I sent out a deep breath, seems like all hopes are not lost yet. If these guys can actually properly follow the instructions of their leader and execute a proper plan then there is a little chance of winning this round.
Well If actually all 10 of the participants have joined the group under the leaders of number 2 the chance of these guys winning this round would have been high. But now with only 5 of them, the chance is pretty much low.
The group started to bring out the traps and ropes from the armory and start making lines and stuff.
Well, I do want to explain more in-depth on what these guys were up to but I don't want to ruin the fun for later.
Leaving this group aside the remaining participants have also started making their preparations for the hunt.
Of the remaining participants, one of the solo participants his participant rank is number '4', has found a hollow tree and he is now hiding inside the tree ready with his weapon to jump on his prey whenever needed. The guy was holding an unsheathed short sword in his hand to cut down anyone who dare to approach the spot.
Other than the participant number '2''s group, He is the only person I think who has a little bit of chance in hunting down the prey. Because as far the rest of the participants, those idiots are just wandering in the forest aimlessly without even proper planning.
The participant number '3' was also roaming near the stream a couple of miles away from the camp of the group under participant number '2'. But he doesn't seem to have any plan of meeting or joining with them since his strolling direction seems to be totally opposite to that of the group.
As per the group of the remaining 3 participants, they seem to be heading toward the center of the evergreen forest. This group seems to have totally not taken this event into serious consideration.
And I think they have zero to no chance of even remaining alive in the event, I'm sure they would be the first group to be destroyed by the Old dog.
And soon the preparation time ended and The Vicious Hunt had officially begun.
