Before we could even digest the shock that received from Calton, Owen gave us another shock.
As soon as he saw that one of his dogs has outperformed him, he could not take this humiliation, and when his hostility towards the dog was at its peak.
His body started emitting a dark aura that began to cover the area around him like thick black smoke, his eyes had turned red, and suddenly a dark ray from one of the god's statues fell on him.
Another God has decided to choose him.
He was someone who had already been chosen to be a representative of 3 gods with another god on his plate, and now he was also someone who had been chosen by 4 gods.
Both the light emitting from Calton and the darkness covering Owen seem to oppose each other and an actual war was going on between the elements, their owners, and the gods.
The last god who had decided to choose Owen appears to be the God of darkness and the reason for him to choose Owen must have been because of his hatred and superiority, towards the wielder and chosen of the God of light, Calton.
And seeing this transformation by Owen the priestesses who were already about to drop their jaws on the ground due to Calton now actually had their jaws on the ground with their eyes popping out of their sockets like the cartoons.
Soon both Calton and Owen being unable to remain in their transformation any longer started returning to their original forms.
As soon as the transformation was over they both lost their consciousness before falling to the ground.
The guards soon picked them up and when they were about to take them to another room but the young priestess stopped them from doing so and asked them only to take Calton to another and leave Owen who was still emitting faint black smoke in her care.
And while the priestess was trying to fix Owen, both his subordinate Mathew and his secretary Selena.

Both Mathew and Selena were anomalies who were selected by more than three gods. Mathew was selected by the God of war, the God of Protection, and the Goddess of Land. While Selena was selected by the Goddess of love, the God of wisdom, and the Goddess of Fire.
They both had obtained a perfect combo in accordance with their personalities. As Mathew was all been the sword and guard type while Selena was the Wise and hot type.
But shortly after they both received their awaking they directly walked from the altar to the side of Owen and kneeled on his flanks like they were pledging their lives to him.
And as soon as they did so, the smoke which had been oozing from Owen started spreading out again and entering their body and a dark ray from the statue of the God of Darkness once again appeared and covered the both of them in vile of darkness but this time it wasn't as powerful as the ones Owen was covered.
Slowly when the vile dispersed and both of them were they too now had the same black smoke which Owen had been covered previously but unlike Owen, their eyes remained the same and didn't change colors.
What the fuck is happing here?
The entire scene looked like it was taken straight out of a fucking movie, people pleading alliance to the chosen one and receiving a blessing from the gods.
Another two had been selected by four gods and the two were selected because they pledged alliance to someone who had been previously chosen but not to a god.
Before we know it the priestesses, and the guards all had already removed our eyes from their sockets and rubbed in their clothes before placing them back to look at whether what they are seeing has really happened but to their surprise, it had really happened.
More than us otherworlders the priestesses and guards were more stupefied because when have the quadruple blessings become wild cabbages.
It is said according to the legends of Fantasia only hand full of people have ever received the quadruple blessings and all of them have been great heroes and have left their remarkable imprints in the history of fantasia.
But to have 4 quadruple blessings in a row and that too by both Major Elemental gods, this was really the first time it had happened in the history of Fantasia even with all the otherworld's history mixed in it.
Soon after the duo, no more surprise events were happening and everything went in a smooth manner because the rest of the line was all old people who sat out because of their inability to stand for a long time and the people who had been punished for cut lines and final the great Me.
I was really starting to lose my patients in the process of waiting, And finally, it was my turn.
When I was about to get on the altar for my awakening I noticed something, the only people remaining in the hall were me, the priestesses, and the guards.
The rest of the group had already finished their awakening and had been escorted to the room next door.
I don't know why but I suddenly started to feel my intuition tingle a little, it felt as though this step up was specially planned for me and everyone here was expecting something to happen.
What it was I'm sure these have no good intentions towards and I really hope nothing of that sort happens to me because I'm pretty sure that these won't hesitate to kill me.
Praying the gods that nothing of the sort of thing takes place I climbed the altar and placed my hands on the orb.
As soon as my hands touch the orb entire room become not even the sound of breathing could be heard in the room.
A death silence, with no sounds
Not just sound there wasn't even a glow from the orb, the orb and the statues which should have been glowing at least had gone off with no reaction as if no one was touching it.
Not wanting to wait for others to become for their stupefied and break the ice I decided to question them myself.
" What happened? Why isn't it glowing? Am not chosen?"
But no actual answered me and everyone had a confused or a stupefied face as though they were made to eat shit.
Even though I have anticipated that something like this would happen it doesn't mean that I was not hurt by it. Just think about all the goals and dreams that I had which simply vanished, Just like that in a snap.
And the feeling of being lost is really painful more than anything, no pain can be compared to it, it was like every time I take a single step forward being pushed at least ten steps backward.
But I don't completely give up my hopes as I know that there is another way to reach my goals other than becoming a 'Chosen', I still become a 'contender' walk on my own.
But before could ask for a 'contender' awakening process one of the older priestesses called me to come close to her.
And when reached near her, she asked held out a hand to her after examining me for a few minutes she inserted a strand of mana into my body which made me feel all refreshed and enlightened, but that's it nothing happened.
It just gave me a feeling which was actually the same as me eating a mana-rich fruit, which only improved my physical conditions.
Soon after examing me the priestess shook her head and said something in the language of fantasia to the remaining group and walked away.
She looked extremely disappointed for some reason.
Not being able to understand the meaning of her words I looked at the young priestess for a translation. And with a few hesitations, she finally decided to translate the word for me.
"She said that you are a cripple"
Though she only just translated the words of the old lady and hadn't even explained it properly, I already know what it meant, it means my dreams and goals are only going to remain only has dreams and goals forever.
