I got tired of waiting for either of the two to make a big move, so I found the spell's source and stopped it so we could escape the illusion barrier.
Illusion and illusion barriers are very tricky things, and from what I understood from my teacher, illusion barriers tend to be a lot more dangerous but, in return, are extremely hard to set up.
While an illusion usually tends to trick the eyes, a barrier can trick all of one's senses. It is made to trap one in its own mind, stop all movement, and create a physical barrier around the target so that no external impulse could possibly make the afflicted aware of his situation.
