This time the portal was a bit unusual; right from the very first gate there were signs of instability; the portal was expanding and shrinking at odd intervals; sometimes it would violently shake; the others wanted to back away, but I proceeded; it was useless to fear the unknown, not after all we went through.

But the portal didn't bring us to our destination; instead, it left us halfway through the skies, falling down at a rapid speed. Gale and Folarin immediately began casting a spell to slow down our fall, but I was faster than the two of them, and using my wind aorta, I easily stopped us from meeting our end.
