The next morning, I woke up to the sound of those flying creatures screeching with all of their might as they were fighting each other, inflicting some really nasty wounds on one another, and sometimes crashing against our little floating island.
Those beasts were really weird; they had large wings that they also used for walking around covered in feathers, but not completely, showing colorful patterns of scales that run from the back of their necks till the base of their tails. Usually, they had blue circles on their wings, but in some rare cases, they could also be red or green. The rest of the scales instead usually had a main color that was either brown, a darker shade of brown, purple, or black, with either orange stripes or simply a darker shade of the main color, making most of the unique patterns on their bodies.
