The demonic power covered Kane's whole body, creating a protective shell around him. Spikes suddenly emerged from the surface of the shell, forcing me to step back by at least a couple of meters.
Many hands emerged from the top of the oval-shaped barrier around Kane's body and headed towards the skies, opening Daniel's hidden portals and retrieving Kane's equipment. The weapons seemed rather plain; he retrieved a massive hammer, an equally massive greatsword, a spear, a pair of scimitars, a collection of eight daggers, and lastly, a familiar-looking armor.
The armor was seemingly made out of the scale of a giant reptile; it had large blades attached to the arm guards and was made out of a mana-draining material. I didn't need to wait long to understand why such armor was familiar to me. It immediately got a reaction out of my knight, who began to feel all sorts of negative emotions from that; he was frightened but also furious at the same time.
