In the magus city of Lonburg
Tirus was sitting cross-legged in his meditation chamber, recovering his used up spiritual force.
The spell that he used to teleport to the Elrod castle had consumed a high amount of his spiritual force.
It was a spell that could only be used twice a month to exchange one's position with their contracted beast. And if one were to use this technique for than twice, then their true soul may get damaged.
'Hah, finally done!' He could feel relief washing over his entire being.
Last night was tough, that's all he had thought.
Now, all ties have been cut, he could now start a new life as a magus with no connections with anyone to hold him down.
....
In the experimentation lab,
Bones of all shapes and sizes were on a table with several acidic substances beside them, and the man who was doing this experiment had a thoughtful expression on his face.
'A.I. chip hasn't even completed the first level this method and it even has so many flaws at that.
I need more refrence material.'
The method he was currently researching was cultivation of a special kind of element. This method was the 'Elemental bone cultivation'.
When the namesless wanderer was travelling the world, he came across a group of magi who could use the 'bone element'. This kind of magic had piqued his interest a little and so he did some research.
It turns out that Bone element is a morphed version of Earth element as the earth element also connects to the body, and ultimately the vitalitya and the spirit.
However, the nameless wanderer reached a bottleneck in his research and he thought it wasn't worth the trouble and so, he stopped his research on this matter.
After that, he never got the chance to get back to this technique's research.
As soon as Tirus read about it, he wanted to continue this research because of how fascinating this magic was.
"Hm, since this bone cultivation technique comes from Earth element cultivation, perhaps I should buy some Earth element meditation techniques, bit from where?"
This was South coast. Here, most rank 1 magi were at rank 1 and only a few dozen at rank 2. And even then, most didn't use high grade meditation techniques, and even if they did, they wouldn't sell it to anyone.
"Joining an organization is the most efficient, no matter how I look at it. Who knows, maybe I'll even find a magus who cultivates bone magic."
There were some Bone magi mentioned in the story of the canon as well. And if he could get a bone magic meditation technique, then he'd definetly safe many years worth of research.
....
A few months later,
Inner city market,
Inside a alchemy material store,
"Are you sure you want green blood of the thorned viper?" An old man with peak rank 1 cultivation asked Tirus.
"Yes, it's been a long while since the last time I drank potions refined from that blood." Tirus saod with a completely expressionless face.
"Hm..." The old magus with the hunched back stayed silent with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Okay, come tommorow, I'll get it ready."
"Okay." Tirus nodded and left immediately.
He turned around to look at the shop once more.
This shop was not a simple one at all. On the surface, this was like any other shop, however, the owner was actually an elder of a dark magi organization.
The magus city Longburg was special, not because of the scenery here, but because it didn't come under the jurisdiction of any single magus organization, it was casually established by some magi who wanted to live the rest of their lives in luxury and freedom.
And exactly for this reason, this place became a hub for almost all the illegal activities that happend in the South Coast, but since there was no single organization to blame, the light magi could only keep their eyes open to any danger.
This led to several dark magi organizations putting some of their elders here.
It was said that if one wanted to become a dark magi, then this place proved to be the best medium to join them.
Although there were many dark magi organizations recruiting here, they weren't so easy to find.
He had made some connections and pulled some strings to get this address and password.
'Finally, I'm one step closer to my goal.' He thought.
He needed to join an organization so that he could get some Earth element meditation techniques as refrence for his research, and who knew if he could find a magus who specifically cultivated the bone element, the one thing which he was looking for.
After thinking about it for a while, he came to the conclusion that joining a dark magi organization would be the best due to their simpler rules and greater benefits they could provide him.
