A year passed since Tirus joined the dark magi organization, the Serpent's scale.
Currently, he was on a flying carpet, going towards his destination for this mission along with a bone element magus, Kask.
In the past year, he had completed a lot of missions and had made name for himself among the dark magi.
He had joined this organization under the psudonym 'Soul collector' and had bought several Earth element meditation techniques.
Not only that, he had actually found this magi who cultivated the Bone element, his codename was 'Kask'.
Tirus had gathered all the information he could gather about this in the past few months. He was a semi-converted rank 1 magus and had a strange temper.
At this moment, Tirus and Kask were to kill the remaining members of a fallen magus family.
"There they are!" Kask said as he pointed in a direction.
"Hm..." Tirus used a vision amplification spell and then saw a carriage far away.
Inside the carriage, there was a middle-aged man wearing peasant clothes along with a little boy, the man was definetly a magus concealing his radiation while the lid was still an ordinary human.
"Soul collector, I'll take the kid." Kask said as he flew at full speed towards the carriage.
'Boorish.' Was the one impression Tirus had gotten from the information he had gathered and his current behaviour.
Inside the carriage,
"Don't panic, son." The middle-aged man murmured as he slowly got up after handing the kid an azure necklace.
"Hey! What are you doing?" An ordinary human who was sitting beside him said loudly.
―Boom
Sound of an explosion resounded as the blue robed magi's radiation and Kask's radiation came in contact with each other.
All the passengers, including the driver, died due to the radiation except for the kid, who was protected by the azure necklace.
"Good artifact." A smile appeared on Kask's face as four bone serpents shot out of his back.
"You really think you can win with this kind of magic?" The blue robed magus snorted as he activated a spell which cost him his lifespan. He was already injured when running away and could barely use even 30% of his full power and that's why he had to use this forbidden technique.
―spat
The blue robed magus spat a mouthful of blood as countless ice swords and chains shot towards Kask.
"Hehehe, don't underestimate me so fast."
Kask's body shone with an eerily green light, and within a milisecond, his entire body was covered with green crystal-like bones.
―Bam
The blue robed magus spat a mouthful of blood and was sent flying away with just a punch.
The blue robed magus had died.
Far away,
"Hm, so, his bone magic meditation technique is much better when used for strength enhancement?" Tirus had the A.I. chip scan everything, and at the same time, he shouted, "Hey, Kask! Look here."
Kask turned around for a second, only to get his head pierced by Tirus's blade.
"Too easy...wait."
"What the...To think that you would want to kill me?" Kask's voice resounded from behind Tirus.
'Shit.'
Kask's hand turned into a blade and then.
―Bam
Tirus's heart was pierced by Kask's blade in one go.
'Even after I cultivated till the level of a grand knight?' Tirus quickly used a spell, turned into a fireball and ran as quickly as possible.
"You can't run away now." Kask screamed in anger.
'Don't want to.' Tirus said internally as he hid in a forest, returned to his human form, upon seeing the area around his chest becoming crystalline, he cast a regenerative spell as fast as he could.
His heart had been pierced, and not only that, a highly deadly poison had been released in his system. If he was an ordinary magi, then he would've died by now. But he had the A.I. chip, which carefully manipulated the blood to carry out the respiration for a while.
Kask didn't chase him as according to him, anyone who had their heart's pierced wouldn't survive.
After a while, Kask killed the kid and tookhis artifact as well.
"Heh, so much for being a dark magi."
Suddenly, he got an ominous feeling from behind him, and so he changed his position.
But it was too late. His body had already started decaying.
"What is this spell!" Kask cried in agony as Tirus appeared behind him.
....
After a few hours,
Tirus had completed the mission and his partner, Kask, had unfortunately been killed by that 'refugee magus'.
"A.I. chip, I'm going to soul search him, record all the necessary data.
To be continued...
