Since Yon was still 7 years old. Naturally he's still in 2nd Grade elementary. He was accompanied by his grandfather up to the guidance office where his instructor was waiting for him.
"Welcome Tokisawa San. This must be your grand son right?" greeted the guidance councilor.
"That's correct Asuma Sensei. Go on and introduce yourself." he told his grandson.
"My name is Tokisawa Yon, It's nice to meet the both you." Yon introduced himself confidently and bowed to the man who was the guidance councilor and the woman who was most probably the instructor since she was in front of the table.
"What a nice kid. I am Sato Asuma the guidance councilor of this School."
"I like him already. Hello, I am to be your instructor from now on. My name is Suzuki Kurenai."
"You are very beautiful Kurenai Sensei. Are you single?"
"eh?" Kurenai was caught off guard while Asuma's so shocked his mouth was wide open while looking at Yon.
"Yo- yon! What are you doing!!? You're still a kid!!!" his grandpa asked feeling very awkward while reprimanding him.
"Well I just thought that since Jisan is still strong you might want Kurenai sensei as a partner if you knew she was single."
"Huh?" his grandfather flinched.
"Ah- I- I'm still single, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet." Answered the very much flustered instructor making the guidance councilor fall to the ground with his feet standing up.
"Yo- You didn't have to asnwer that Kurenai Sensei. I really apologise for my grandson's behaviour Asuma Sensei, I hope he can still attend here?" Chouji pleaded.
"Hahaha, It's okay Tokisawa san. He's just a kid so he might still not fully understand what it means to have a partner. Kurenai sensei, why don't you take Yon to his room so you can also start your class."
"Okay. Follow me Yon-kun."
"Behave yourself Yon." His grandfather instructed while looking at him seriously.
"Yes, Jisan. See you later!" Yon replied as he followed Kurenai to his new classroom while his grandfather and the guidance councilor seems to have something else to discuss.
In this world, Karakura School for Elementary, Middle School and High School are just a few distance from each other and all three are connected under one administration only. So it's only normal for a student to attend in all this three school throughout their entire school life.
"I am Tokisawa Yon. It's nice to meet all of you!" Yon introduced himself in front of the class.
"What a skinny kid. He must be a weak one." commented one of the boys.
"yeah, look at his skin. It's even paler than a girl's. Hahaha" added another.
"I think he's handsome. Look at how cool he is." an orange haired girl has a different opinion.
"Looks are nothing. Don't be fooled by it. The most important thing is if he's strong." another girl replied. You could almost mistake her for a boy for her short and spiky hair like that of a boy's.
Yon ignored the boys and looked at the two girls who commented about him. 'So they were already classmates since Elementary huh? Where's the other orange head?' Yon found Ichigo to be on the protagonist seat at the back. 'My seat!!! No!!!!!!!'
"Why don't you go ahead and find an empty seat Yon-kun" Yon nodded and walked towards the windowseat in front of Ichigo. 'No use fighting someone with plot armor. I'll just take the one in front of his.'
However there was a bit of a problem since the chair was already occupied.
"Yon-kun that's already occupied why don't you seat somewhere else?"
"It's okay sensei. My classmate here is actually very kind enough to give up this seat to me."
"Who would-" before the boy could finish his sentece Yon exerted just very tiny bit of his riatsu to his next word and cut off the what the boy was going to say something.
"Isn't that right, classmate?" the boy got out of the seat while crying and sat far away from Yon.
The instructor was surprised but didn't think about it much as soon as she did. 'Is this kid a bully? Based on his action at the guidance office awhile ago I think he's matured already.'
Kurenai then began the class as the thought left his mind. But the spiky haired girl had a different reaction. 'what did he do?'
Since Yon's mind already graduated from college, his time was rather wasted on attending school but he doesn't have a choice since he's still a kid. So he did what he could only do at the moment, sleep.
He didn't sleep last night after all. After learning the basics of Kendo. Yon further develop it with his reiryoku in the hills where he first created and copied the spirit gun and sword. Everything he developed last night weren't completed yet due to the lack of time but they are already in their beginning stages.
He tried combining his riatsu when executing Kiai which made it more intimidating but it's not practical to use it in every execution of a technique, just like how it was taught by his grandfather. It's not yet completed but already on it's beginning stage.
The ordinary Kendo footwork Okuri-ashi and Fumikomi-ashi helped him further improve his already existing Zone and Geppo. This enabled him to develop his very own version of shunpo.
Although Zone enhances his speed, perception and reaction and by using Geppo as a foothold he's able to rush fast enough to not be seen by a normal human's eyes. It wasn't the same as the principle behind shunpo which is definitely much more faster than just Zone. Just like his improved Kiai, this was just developed and not yet completed but still he named it Soru.
And finally his execution of basic cut with the help of Zone while also using his spirit sword. He ofcouse spent a lot of time before he could materialise and form it just like a katana. The only difference would be that it wasn't curved the way a katana was and it was purely made from his reiryoku.
[Note: Reiryoku = spirit energy while reishi= spirit particles. I was confused but I guess it basically means that reishi is the micro version of reiryoku? ]
The intention to cut a certain part of the target. Head, abdomen or wrist. All was executed in a downward slash motion more profound than what he has shown his grandfather. And since hollows were attracted whenever he trained, he was able to modify it a bit to target a hollow's mask or simply cut them whole downward or sideways.
The reishi risidue he absorbed that night pushed his cultivation to the peak of 4th order Houtian realm. Just a few more to be able to breakthrough the 5th order. In fact he should be at the early of 5th order by now if he didn't held back. He remembered how it's important to build up his foundation first and how disadvantageous it was to breakthrough consecutively without consolidating his advancement.
Seeing Yon sleeping throughout the whole class, kurenai tried to test him out only to be answered correctly. Grade 2 question to a fresh college graduate? What is else would be expected?
Since the school was so boring. Yon's attention was only piqued when it was finally time to go home. He remembered that he will be going to the private dojo his with his grandfather today and he could see him waiting for him outside.
"Jisan! We're going to that dojo right?" Chouji nodded to his grandson and they made their way towards the dojo. They didn't take any cab but instead walked on the way.
As they arrived Yon could see some of the kids his age were already gathered. While it was indeed best to start training in Kendo at the age of 3 years old, for most people it was normal to start at the age of 7 years old.
He can see some of his classmates which he was familiar with even the two boys who spoke about him earlier.
"Tokisawa Sensei! I'm glad you're here, we were just waiting for you so we can start." One of the instructors came forward and greeted them. There are 2 others left at the front while the kids were gathered in the center of the dojo in their uniform with bogu on.
"Iruka San, Sorry about that. Next time we will take a cab to get here much earlier." Iruka's attention then switch to the kid with Chouji since he mentioned that they just walked to get there. Although it wasn't that great of a distance for someone like Chouji, it's a different matter for a kid like Yon.
"Nice to meet you. I am Tokisawa Yon." he initiated introducing himself since the stranger was looking at him.
"Tokisawa?" Iruka was surprised for a bit
"He's my grandson. And he will join us for today."
"Really? He must be a talented young man since he's your grandson. I am Takahashi Iruka. Let's go inside so we can begin." the three of them then headed inside the dojo.
To Yon's disappointment his grandfather told him to stay by the side and observe. He was so excited to be able to do something he like with the other kid's his age. He forgot his 'real' age mentallythat he was even mad at his grandfather for ditching him to the side of the dojo.
His classmates saw this and wondered why he was just watching by the side of the dojo when they started their kendo practice. They have already been training since the start of the year. It was now the start of Fall in the middle of September which meant that their rank was now in the 4th Kyu along with the others whom Yon did not recognize.
Meanwhile Yon's disappointment has disappeard upon listening to the instructors. Apparently their rank only raised to the 4th Kyu because they were training for roughly 4-8 months of practice. But he was surprised when he saw the students begins to wear and practice in armor after the instructions.
What's more is that they were practicing something he hasn't. Yon's spirit sense explode to action as he observed their moves and listened to the instructors while sitting in a lotus position. Since he was so focused only in the practice he failed to notice that his grandfather was monitoring him.
The other instructors were baffled by his actions even Iruka asked his grandfather if it was okay to leave Yon aside only to be answered that he was already training in his own way. This left Iruka and the others confused. But Chouji was the grandfather and it was not a good conduct to intervene with another family's way of teaching their offspring.
How could chouji not know when he witnessed it himself that Yon was able to focus extremely in that position and was able to comprehend any and all he discussed upon hearing it just once. This was also the reason why he just told him to stay by the side instead of his original plan to bring him a year later.
