A very excited Yon was whistling through the air as he headed towards the hill he saw earlier. Rushing in the air was a nostalgic experience for him as he watched the houses and vehicles below.
As soon as he was near the hill, he immediately used his spirit sense and checked if there was anyone at all in the area. He doubled up his speed when he found out that it was mostly empty. "perfect!"
A few moments later
Yon arrived at the top of the hill. Sensing that no one was around he prepared to try what was in his mind. However "Hmmmmn, which one do I try first? Yusuke's Spirit Gun or Kuwabara's Spirit sword?"
"I should first start with the easiest one. Sorry Yusuke but Kuwabara's spirit awareness is definitely better than yours." He means that learning spirit gun was easier than learning spirit sword which uses spirit awareness.
Yon never turned off his spirit sense. He lifts up his right hand and copied Yusuke's motion with his index finger pointing out in front of him. He gathered just a little bit of spirit energy on his index finger's endpoint.
When the spirit energy reached a pebble's size Yon stopped and aimed at one of the trees around. He imagined pulling a trigger inside his mind just like how Jerico instructed Yusuke.
Bang!
Yon heard the sound of a gun being shot as the spirit energy he gathered left his index finger. The bullet passed through the tree he targeted and the trees behind it. But that wasn't his concern the moment it was shot. Luckily nothing was attracted be it hollow, plus or Soul Reaper. Not even a Vizard or Quincy has entered his spirit sense.
He heaved a sigh of relief to that. He then focused and tried to check his reiryoku consumption. To his surprise the reiryoku he used was so little it was almost negligible. But he stopped for a moment to analyze.
'It was only negligible because I used a little amount but if I used more'
Yon started gathering reiryoku to his index finger once more. This time his spirit sense was focused on his dantian. He was able to clearly observe the amount of reiryoku being used as he gathers more reiryoku. When the spirit energy being gathered was now as big as an adult's fist Yon was a little worried since he doesn't know how to cancel it yet.
He searched for a large rock to choose as his target. Using spirit sense he was able to find one immediately. With a body flicker he was easily able to arrive where it was while still holding on to the technique. He pointed the technique towards it and recalled the feeling of pulling the trigger.
Bang!
Another gunshot sounded within the hill but no entity was attracted. The Boulder's center has a deep hole after the spirit gun was fired. "definitely an easy attack technique, the redeeming part of it is that it becomes more powerful the more reiryoku you use for it but that would also mean you will consume more reiryoku in the process"
Yon looked around the ground and searched for a twig. "Although I am confident with my spirit energy manipulation, I am not confident enough to be able to form a sword without a push. It's better to follow kuwabara's example." As he finished talking he was able to pick up a twig. He held it in the center using his right hand and brought in front of him.
He focused and imagined a sword to form before manipulating his reiryoku to gather on his hands where the twig was. "Haaaaaah!" He shouted as he willed the spirit energy he gathered to form a sword. To his horror what formed can't be even be describe as a knife as it was too short to be called a sword.
Once again he doesn't know how to cancel only to remember he simply needs to will it the way he willed it to gather. And just like that he found the way to cancel his technique whenever he needs to.
Before he tried again he checked up the surrounding of the hill using spirit sense. This time he could sense a single hollow slowly approaching him from far away. Although it was invisible to the naked eyes, it couldn't escape his spirit sense. Since the distance between them was still far away Yon didn't panic and decided to try and materialize a spirit sword once again.
This time he gathered more reiryoku towards his hand holding the twig almost as much as he did awhile ago when firing the fist size bullet of reiryoku. Instead of just shouting like he did awhile ago, this time he planned differently to help himself on materializing it more closely to the real thing.
"Spirit Sword!" He willed a sword to form. And the sword he imagined was the swords he was able to see all the time when reading a manhua cultivation genre. And that's exactly what was formed. Since it wade up of reiryoku it's color was the same as Uryu's Soul cutter/Seele Schneider.
Using spirit sense, the hollow has now closed the distance. Yon used zone to get even closer to the hollow. Eager to try how effective his spirit sword would be against a hollow.
When he finally saw it. It was almost the same as the hollow that Ichigo first slain. After making sure that no other hollow was around Yon pushed his zone to the limit that he could control and handle.
'A lioness will use all her strength even when hunting a rabbit.' Yon thought to himself as if he was facing the last battle of his life. Yon rushed towards the hollow as the hollow did the same.
When the hollow was just moments away from his sword's range, Yon lifts up his left and pointed his index finger. "Spirit gun!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three gunshots sounded and landed on the rushing hollows head, body and feet. Since it was caught off guard the shots were successful. And now that it was distracted, Yon used Geppo to further enhance his speed by kicking in the air sideways instead of just stepping. He arrived in front of the distracted hollow's face which was high up in the air since the hollow was normally huge.
Without any knowledge on how to swing a sword. Yon slashed with all his might in a straight line forward. The cut from the hollow's face continued down it's body. When he was done, the hollow disintegrated it self as a reishi risidual was left behind. Yon absorb it without hesitation filling up the reiryoku he just used up and more, pushing him to mid 4th order Houtian realm.
"It's starting to get harder already to have a breakthrough. Back when I was still in the 2nd order a single reishi risidual from a hollow was enough to go to the next stage but when I was in the 3rd order even 4 reishi residual was just enough to arrive at the peak of that realm. And now being in the early 4th order, a single reishi risidue only pushed me to mid 4th order."
Yon used his spirit sense once more and checked if there was any other hollow that was attracted and came but he found nothing.
From the moment Yon left his house up to the current time it has only been an hour or more that has passed. Since he still has time before the sun sets and his granfather returns he trained again the same way he did awhile ago by checking his surroundings from time to time while creating a technique using spirit energy.
Yon was able to have improvements on the two techniques he created and copied. Enough for him to slay three more hollows that were attracted during his training before he finally decided to return home. He used the same method to get home, although he used up his reiryoku. Everytime a hollow appears he was still able to replenish it.
Ever since he started absorbing reishi risiduals. The reishi in the atmosphere held little value to him now, what's more is that if he start absorbing the reishi in the atmosphere it is sure to attract guests.
Upon reaching his room he could sense that his grandfather wasn't home yet so decided to meditate while waiting for him.
Yon wasn't even able to notice the time passed as he heard his grandfather's voice.
"I'm home.!"
Yon opened his eyes as his grandfather knocked on his door.
"Welcome back Jisan.."
"So you haven't had your dinner yet once again?"
"Hmmmn! it's so much better eating together than by myself.!" Yon nodded and explained
"Is that so? Alright why don't you wash your hands so I can heat up our dinner."
"Yes Jisan."
After the duo had their dinner. Yon decided to sleep for tonight so that he's prepared for tomorrow when his grandfather starts teaching him Kendo.
Meanwhile the lights of the clinic in front of them lit up as the family returned from a trip. An orange haired kid was sound asleep inside the car along with two more kid one with the same hair color while the other has black hair.
Their parents had a hard time of moving them to their respective rooms to avoid waking them up. But the oranged haired kid woke up and saw this, so willingly got up to let his parents move his two little sisters only while he walk by himself towards his room instead.
