Steven and Jel walked back into their cozy little fort exhausted from the trip back and forth from the market. Steven carried a backpack full of supplies on his back. And Jel carried a bag full of food and materials.
It was already nightfall, and they hadn't unpacked their newly bought belongings. They both were too exhausted to unpack anyways. Steven stretched out his arms and Jelly rested himself on the grass. Their fort didn't even have proper floor material. It was just grass and dirt.
"Man, I'm pooped." Steven yawned grabbing a small clock out of his bag. Even though they were still in the medieval part of the world. They still had access to modern items and clothing. Since the world is so big, some cities and towns were more advanced than others. So, it was common for a person living in a medieval village to have access to modern items.
Steven could hear the sound of rustling outside. The leaves and grass were crunching which was making him annoyed. "Jel, can you go scare away the stupid animal that's outside."
"Oh, sure," Jel said getting up off the ground and walking out of the fort. Then Jel noticed the silhouette of a figure leap towards him swinging a weapon directly at his face. He hastily blocked the attack with his sword blowing the attacker back.
"STEVEN! THERE'S SOMEONE OUT HERE THAT ATTACKED ME!" Jel yelled warning Steven of the intruder. Steven hurried outside the fort standing next to Jel. The intruder was in front of them holding a red Axe. They had a red Dragon mask on and wore red Samurai armor. It was odd a samurai was carrying an Axe instead of a katana.
"Tell us who you are," Steven demanded. The samurai didn't reply and instead lifted their Axe over their head. They then swung their Axe towards the ground smashing against the grass. Flames rose from the damaged grass hastily spreading towards Steven and Jel. They both jumped out of the way avoiding the fire. Steven could tell they had an elemental weapon, but it was odd it wasn't a sword. Although not always an elemental weapon had to be a sword, it was very odd for it to be an Axe, spear, or crossbow.
The flames started spreading towards the fort. Steven worried that their stuff might be burned in the process. But he was also concerned about this Intruder harming them. Or possibly doing something worse.
"Jel, go inside and take out the stuff so it doesn't get burned. I'll take care of that Samurai." Steven said to Jel.
"Got it," Jel responded rushing inside the slowly burning fort.
"I don't know what exactly you want from us. But if it's a fight I'll give you one." Steven said to the Samurai. The Samurai then sprinted towards Steven swiftly preparing their Axe for another blow. Steven leaped up off the ground as the Samurai swung towards him with the Axe. Steven then aimed his sword for a downwards slash. But the Samurai Plunged his fist into his stomach slamming him back against a tree. Steven gasped for air trying to recover from the blow. But then the Samurai plunged their Axe into the ground aiming directly at Steven. The damaged grass once again Burned with flames making its way towards Steven at a rapid pace. Steven leaped to his side from the incoming attack. And the tree burned down slamming on the ground.
The samurai then started making its way slowly towards Steven preparing for another attack. But Steven then sprinted towards the Samurai swinging Valkyrie towards their Stomach attempting not to let them strike another hit again. The Samurai got blown back by the impact and force of the attack, landing on the ground. The Samurai slowly got up from the ground, but Steven closed enough distance to get a move on him.
"HASTE BARRAGE!" Steven yelled out. "Haste barrage" was a special move form that would rapidly bombard the target with strikes of the sword. It works best when the target is open or not able to attack.
The Samurai flew meters away from the damage of the attack. But it failed to knock him out or kill him. Instead, the Samurai retreated running back into the forest. Steven didn't bother chasing after the Samurai since he was too injured to do so.
Jel hurried towards Steven who was on his knees from the fight. "Are you okay Steven?" Jel asked Steven with concerns over his Injuries.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine," Steven grunted slowly getting up.
"I managed to recover all of the stuff but I'm afraid the fort is burned down," Jel said. The fort was collapsed into the ground with Flames and Smoke and Ashes. Steven didn't care about the thing. But he was happy Jel was able to save all of their belongings. The only option they had now, was to take a trip over to stay over the night at Rey's house. Steven couldn't also help but wonder what that Samurai wanted. Or better yet who they were.
"We're going to my friend's house to stay the night Jel. It's not too far from here and maybe he's still awake."
"Uh, okay!" Jel replies picking their saved stuff off the ground.
Steven had a suspicion that Samurai had something to do with the faction named "Hacks" that he was told about. Maybe Rey could answer some questions for him. He thought that the prime district was a peaceful place. But now it's apparent that it's not. All Steven could do was wonder and wait until he got to Rey's house so he could answer some questions.
