Adeline let out a slow breath as they drove in silence to her home. She was just watching the scenery go by and lost in her own mind. While she was feeling nervous about this, she was feeling far more excited too. This felt right, she felt like a weight was about to lift off of her with this decision that she was making.
She wasn't going to second guess herself, because she needed this. She wasn't in love with her husband. Adeline's heart was now with someone else, and so was what she wanted for her future. She was thinking about where she was going and the minimal things that she'd have at first. A lot of her stuff was up at Dassen's home. That was okay, she could get what she needed for the time being.
