Dassen dropped down on the road, and there was a good inch of ice on it. It was cold on his bare feet, but wasn't really all that bothersome. He could see some shattered glass across the road where she clearly hit the side of the mountain here. This was a really bad spot to go over, and it was pretty much just a cliff. She was lucky to have landed where she did. This part shouldn't have been that bad, what had she been doing to have this happen?
The wind whipped hard, and bit at his side and face, but he just moved to where the guardrail had been and he jumped over it. His wings extended out, but he had to be careful to not hit the trees. They were extremely large, but had to be to hold his weight. He hit the ground down below and pulled them in, kind of rotated his shoulders for a second. The wind had been very strong on the way here.
