**Influence Has Already Struck**
Jessica walked into the room before the instructions given to her by Mr. Gonzalez. She couldn't quite understand what was happening—why she had been pulled away from Enzo Romano in secret. She didn't know what the man wanted with her or what all of this was about. Yet, at the same time, she was prepared to fight for him, to protect him in whichever way necessary. She couldn't stand the thought of Enzo getting hurt.
But then, an expression of shock registered on her face as she met the eyes of her mother. She wasn't sure. She tried to convince herself that what she was seeing wasn't real. But was it not stupid to imagine that her mother wasn't really standing before her right now?
