Her body froze, strength seemingly leaving her senses as her eyes tired that one side that almost made her lose consciousness. " it can't be.'' she whispers to herself, trying to come out with a better solution before her stepfather notices anything. She shut and open her eyes a couple of times hoping that the image will go blurry and hopefully disappear. she prayed to all the gods that the werewolves believed in to erase that situation from happening. but oh, all good fate had a different plan for her?
Outside the large framed glass windows, stood Noah Hamilton. Lily has never felt so enraged and disgusted by a person more than she felt right now. Here she was trying to take the Beating from her stepfather praying that her other dads would not arrive at this opportune time. And right now the stupid teenage boy decided to take matters into his own hands and act as a rescue for a girl who did not need saving. She had it all under control or at least she convinced herself.
She tried to signal with her eyes possibly shake her head and tell him to disappear but he was having none of it. Even don't know why was looking at Lily directly in the eye, his eyes held the cage of courage that was nothing else than stubbornness. Lily tried to counter his agenda. She wondered what exactly would have made the young man take such interest in her to risk his life.
Even though she turned her head around immediately, Gerald had already noticed. He followed the trail and the direction in which she was staring and his eyes widened in horror as he watched the young man holding that camera towards the scenario that had been playing out.
"You little witt.'' Gerald screamed jolting forward as he advanced towards the open windows. Lily had no time to think and she knew that if she lets situations play out the way Gerald preferred then the young man would be dead in that moment. She knew that doing what she was about to do would get her into a lot of trouble but she was willing to risk it if it meant helping an Innocent but stubborn soul.
Rising up in a jiffy, Lily ignored the sharp pain that she felt through her body and exerted pressure on the already broken rib. jumping forward, she caught Gerald's leg with her hands and grip it firmly restricting his movements. At this opportune time, Noah takes the chance and begins to run. Lily hopes that the boy is running for his life but disappointment and Shock hit her when she says no is printing two words they are front yard. He keeps opening the door and quickly moves towards Lily.
Gerald throws a kick towards Lily's chest causing a hollow sound to escape as she freezes in movement. There are those couple of seconds where both Men Stare at each other and back at Lily. Still, there was a cracking sound that was heard.
Lily's breaths are shallow. Every movement of air entering her lungs causes a sharp excruciating pain towards the already broken muscle of her chest. no matter how much she wants to convince herself, she knows that her werewolf abilities would not be healing her from that anytime soon. how attempts of breathing became more and more conflicted.
Tears rolled down her eyes as her fingers unclasped from her stepfather's leg and fell towards the floor without resistance.
"You killed her,'' Noah shouts at him, moving forward to grab Lily. Gerald, however, pushes him back, staring at the girl who now seems to be paralyzed on the spot. had he gone too far this time? had he crossed his boundaries and forgotten the sole reason as to why he was treating her like this? Was this suffering still affiliated to protecting her or had he been so concentrated on the dark power and Happiness he got when he broke her bones.
Gerald would never be coming back from this. He knew that she would not die but he had brought her to the brink of death still practicing their beliefs that he thought will be protecting. For the first time ever, he felt the shake in his spirit as he stared at Lily lying almost lifeless on the floor.
He needed to do something to save her. He needed to at least activate her werewolf form for that was the easiest way in which she could heal. But what if that animal side of her could not cover up the consequences of his actions? What if there was no way in which this beautiful she-wolf would be healed. There was always a barrier when it came to the supernatural. When it came to healing properties like these ones, there had to be a boundary that could not be crossed.
" get out!'' He managed to whisper looking Noah in the eye as he maintained a stoic expression. he needed to get him away from there so that he was able to trigger the healing process. he had never felt so much guilt and fear from what he had done and at that moment flashbacks of everything he has done to an Innocent girl came hitting him like a hammer to a nail.
" are you crazy? you're the one that should be leaving here. running away because I have just witnessed you committing a murder and I already have footage of the first few minutes while you are so tired and innocent high school girl. What do you get from being her father? Is this how fathers treat their daughters? Are you not supposed to love your daughter and protect her from any danger? I'm afraid that you are the one who is bringing her pain other than taking it away from her. What kind of a car District bastard are you to bring her so much pain just because you found her talking to a boy? '' Noah was lashing out.
He wanted to get out as much emotions as he felt bottling inside. He compared himself to Lily in So Many Ways. The assault that Lily was getting from her stepfather was almost as equal as the one he himself got from his father whenever he failed to practice enough. Basketball was not a dream of his but his father's demanding passion for the sport had forced Noah into trying out for the team and being caught between the class of his father's obsession with basketball.
He saw himself in every way. Lily was just like him. She was just as broken and manipulated as he was. He wondered what had made the girl be so quiet about the beatings but he then realized that the both of them were no different. It took a really courageous soul to speak up and Lily was not ready to do anything like that. What to do before him today was an aftermath of being quiet and taking the bullshit handed down to her by her stepfather. if only Noah knew that it was not only Gerald but also her two other stepfathers.
and as though, ' speak of the devil' was a term that could be included in that scenario, Michael Owen, and Tomas, the other two step dads, walked into the house.
Now, what could ever happen since Noah was outnumbered at three to one.
