CHAPTER 3
The sound of heels echoing against the ground sent Drystan's head shooting up. He had gotten there right after he tried to find her in the places he knew she would be but did not see her.
Instead, the more he roamed about searching, the library, the faculty exco office, the secretariat and the likes, the more whispers he heard around him.
The news did travel fast. Student life and gossip.
Letting out a deep sigh, he decided to go check their spot. The rooftop.
Upon getting there she was still nowhere in sight, so he waited. Today was just like the first time they spoke. It was already evening and most students had gone to their various hostels or houses.
Getting up, he gazed at her, where she stood in her lovely red fled gown that stopped just above her knees, showing off her smooth whitish legs, a perfect contrast to the bloody red outfit she wore.
"Speak."
She turned her head over to the side while crossing her arms in front of he chest as she started away into God knows what. She was still angry and from the earlier look he saw in her eyes, he knew she had shed a tear or two. No wonder he did not see her.
Rather than speaking as she had hoped for, he took several steps in net direction to bridge the gap between them and stopped when he was about four footsteps away.
"I know I have no right to even say this or even seek your forgiveness. All I want is for you to be happy but believe me, I have gotten over her."
"LIAR!"
"Astoria, I mean it."
"You see her an you still wish. You keep starting at her and her good for nothin* boyfriend that cannot compare to you."
His lips pulled back to the side at her compliment. "Honestly, yes I still look at her but when I see her, I recall how she told me off an the mean words she said to me."
"Pff, I was standing outside for close to fifteen minutes but your gaze remained locked on her. This is not he first time. Was that how she affected you?"
"I see. I am guilty and sorry then. Honestly speaking."
"Do not lie to me. There is more." She snapped her head in his direction and dared him to deny her claim. "There is more. The life," she reminded him. "You wish you were Ryan."
He shut his eyes briefly and then reopened them to see her worried but angry eyes starting right back at him.
"Do not lie, tell me the truth."
"I wouldn't dream of lying. So here it goes. I envied them not because I wished to be the one there in place of Ryan but because I wished I could be that close to you."
Her mouth fell as she looked at him in shock. She knew she had always been busy but never did she except for him to feel that way. That was insensitive of her.
"I was busy. You know I have been preparing for the elections. I am the one in charge of most preparations and things have just been so... You should have told..."
"I wish I could kiss you," he let out finally, cutting her short. "Love you the way that you deserve and just..." He let his clenched hand go and looked back at her. "I should probably not ask for this but I want things to be at your time as so I am patient. So I am sorry. So sorry to wishing somth8ng like that. So please, do not be angry anymore. Just know that only you, have my heart."
Not being an, e to take it anymore, she rushed towards him and flung herself on him, hugging him tightly.
"I am sorry. Sorry for getting mad at you when I have been the one neglecting you. I apologize."
"No, I am not mad at you. I am not. I just. I guess I am lonely. Not that I am not used to it. I hoped it would be better now that I have you."
"I promise it won't happen again. From today, I would be by your side as often as you want me to."
"No need. You have responsibilities. I am happy that you love me. That is enough."
She pulled back from the hug and landed another slap on him, this time on his face.

This time he was not expecting it. Not at this moment or situation. They were being lovey-dovey, right? Or was I just the only one thinking that way?
"This would be the last time you would feel that way. Unworthy of my love and time. You deserve it all. Now man up and stop acting sorrowful. I want the guy I love to understand that and be proud of it. I am yours. I do not want to hit you anymore. My heart aches when I do that but it breaks when seeing you all dejected. So promise me this."
"Okay. I deserve it. I have a girlfriend now, I need to go break off from my old self and live a new life, one worthy of being proud of."
"Good. That is better."
The scene suddenly became romantic with how close they were plus the serene evening sky now that the sun had gone down.
At that moment all he could think of was just how perfect it had been an dhkw the girl with him now, was very pretty an alluring.
It was a shame other guys weren't him. He knew they envied him now that it was exposed and wished they were in his shoes.
Peering deeply into her eyes, he could see all of those built-up anger in her eyes had suddenly faded away, leaving the clear and cute.
She looked evening prestige with how embarrassed she was and he knew it was because of how intensely he was looking at her but one could it blame him, could they?
Throwing reason to the wind and taking her advise, he decided to be that guy.
Wrapping a hand around her waist, and pressing their bodies closer together, he lifted her chin with his free hand, looking at her through his lashes as he brought his lips down on hers, claiming them once and for all as his in a sensual breathtaking kiss.
At first, she was shocked that he did that, giving his character but after some seconds, she too settled in and parted her like for him, giving him the entrance he craved silently for.
After about a minute, he broke the kiss, staring deeply into her eyes than what he did before. There was no more going back. This was what he wanted.
He wanted her, wanted their relationship and he had committed everything into her hands, his life, his body and his soul.
It was not just because she was popular but he felt a different kind of connection and a feeling of de javu when he kissed her.
Though vague but he knew he had down that before and considering this was his first kiss, it really was a wonder in his mind how and why it felt that way.
Unlike other girls me once admired, he felt different with her. Be felt calm and more secure when she was around, like his loneliness had forever been taken away.
"I love you, Astoria. Never forget that?"
"I love you too."
Both of them stood there smiling at each other, while being so happy for how things had turned out. Having the feeling of wanting more, he leaned back in, bring his lips closer to hers again.
Just when their lips was about connecting they heard a loud sound and with it, they were both thrown away.
BOOM!
Rolling onto the ground, the couple fell with Drystan's hand protecting holding Astoria's head, shielding ejr from any injury.
Once the nose and buzzing sound in his ears had finally settled down, he looked at Astoria, she seemed out of it. Feeling the impact had affected her, he carefully placed her on the ground and stood hp to see what had caused such a mishap.
A pair of sharp piercing red eyes, shone in the dark smoke around them. She raised her hands and the smoke cleared off quickly as her lips spread a bit to the side.
She lifted her hands again, this time rather than a smile clearing of smoke, a sharp double-edged big sword sparkled with bone-chilling laughter, sending chills down the spine of her prey.
"Tsk, Drystan Aiden, Target 048 prepare to meet your doom."
SWOOSH!
CLANK!
"Not on my watch, Sabrina. Get the hell away from my boyfriend!"
