Chereads / DARK KNIGHT: GAME ON / Chapter 76 - Forfeit!!!

Chapter 76 - Forfeit!!!

Since the legions had gotten into this world, more and more things kept on happening that simply made no sense. It wasn't like they didn't have wild imaginations. Of course as teens that they all supposedly are, they had quite the wide array of wild thoughts. But this, this world was on a whole different level so to say.

"Am I not seeing clearly or isn't that a boy in the midst of those beasts?" Eiko asked and the rest of them only turned to face him and gave a nod as they too were shocked. Just moments ago, they had seen one head of the snake seemingly lose power. From then on things began to take a bizarre turn as they saw the huge serpent gradually shrink in size till it had eventually disappeared into the cover of the other beasts surrounding it.

But what they would have never expected is a boy emerging from the circle. And not just any boy, a crazy one at that, they all thought.

"Did you hear him, he's going to kill all these?" Blair said. And it would have sounded like a lie on any given day if the others hadn't witnessed and heard for themselves. What was even more baffling to them was where this strange boy had emerged from. It was like he he had simply appeared right in the middle of the horde.

"This is getting crazy by the minute. He doesn't stand a chance" Erwin said shaking his head. But this wasn't out of sympathy, he was shaking his head because he felt useless and less brave than the strange boy outside. What more, he didn't even feel like he would step outside now if the opportunity was handed to him.

"I don't know..but...something feels wrong..something feels wrong about ..that boy" Rodney said while still staring through the hole. He wouldn't let his eyes off the strange boy that had just appeared out of no where. And just to confirm his suspicions, the next second something odd began to happen.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!" The strange boy yelled from the circle of beasts.

"What's wrong with him?" Blaze asked as she witnessed this strange scene unfold. The legions watched from the earth structure Johan had made and observed how the strange boy bent his head backwards and scream aloud the more. Then suddenly he had disappeared back into the sea of ape looking beasts. The same savage beasts who had attacked the serpent viciously now seemingly relaxed, standing and just watching everything unfold as well.

The only thing the legions could hear was a deep groan coming from the circle. Then this groan changed into more screams and then finally, silence. Total silence that left the legions confused. They just couldn't imagine what might have happened in there. One moment the strange boy was declaring his deep desires to kill these beasts and then the next moment loud screams could be heard coming from him and then this, silence, just total silence.

*Graaaaaaa!!!*

And just like that all they saw was a monkey beast lifted up and flying in the air and in the next minute it had turned into ashes. At this point, they all had one thought running through their minds.

"THIS IS A DREAM".

And then one by one they could see the beasts being lifted in the air like they could suddenly now fly and the bizarre follow up whenever they took flight was that they would explode into ashes. And in just five seconds two of those monkey beasts had been executed swiftly.

"Ashes??" Blair questioned holding his head as though it would implode. At this point, this was becoming too much for the teenager. He never struggled to make sense out of things. That just wasn't his way. But right now, even to him, the whole event just MADE NO SENSE.

And that's when they could see the cause of the whole five seconds drama. As standing in the middle of the horde of beast now was a figure. The proper term would be a creature standing in the middle of the horde. This was like something they had never seen before. Sure they could probably conjure something like this in movies and comics and even an anime. But that was it, things looking the way this one did was only meant to stay in these aforementioned places. They had no business with the real world.

Then come to think of it, they weren't in the real world to begin with. They were in some place else, some place that the normal rules of the world didn't apply to. And if they were to start thinking about bizarre things, then the first thing would have been the fact that the bodies they were in now was not completely theirs. They had strange powers that could be likened to those in movies. Yet, still yet, some things still come as a shock to them. And they let obvious ones go over their heads. They weren't to be blamed though. This would be the normal reaction any normal person would have.

Seeing how a figure looking like a man only with fur around the neck and teeth that hung out of the mouth stood in the midst of beasts was enough reason to doubt their sanity. But then the next minute they had seen it all happen in their front. As the figures eyes began to glow fierce red it ran straight tackling one of the beasts nearest to it. And with a fine knee to the jaw of another one, it had taken that one down too. But the beasts came in their numbers attacking from left to right and biting hard on the figure while some pounded their fist into this figure.

*Graaaaa!!*( the strange figure screaming)

Then out of no where a round fist from one of the ape like creature was headed for the figure, it was caught mid air. And then another fist came again and that was caught by the figure with his other hand. And more fist came and the figure caught in total six fists and held them all in place.

"Wait, that thing has how many hands" Eiko who was watching keenly noticed. The figure stood taller than the ape like creatures to some extent so the legions could see how it had caught six different punches all while still holding them. But this was not without a struggle as the next minute, it had been cleanly overpowered by the ape like creatures who also used their extra hands. Now on the floor the ape like creatures dragged him by the legs and bit hard on him. The one saving grace the figure had was the fact that not all the ape like creatures could get their hands on him. As there simply just wasn't enough room for them all. But most of them still had their way with these figure now on the ground laying next to the injured naked boy. And while this figure was taking a beaten, every now and then it would turn its head to look at the naked boy laying on the floor.

And just when the figure was preoccupied with all the ape creatures trying to bite it, the other group of apes turned their attention to the boy laying on the ground. And they all charged in at once and at the rate they all did, they would have crushed him. But not unless something stopped them first. And that thing came in the form of a wind that blew and immediately they had all stopped once again.

Soon noises could be heard and trees trembled. It was like the repeat of all that had happened when the ape creatures first made their entrance only it was three times as loud. And immediately conflicting thoughts started spinning in the minds of the legions.

"Wait, this doesn't make sense. If the turf war is already happening. Why does map show more beasts arriving. Are these guys calling for reinforcement?" Blaze questioned.

"I don't think its reinforcement. This is the actual turf war and the snake beast then was only a collateral damage" Eiko explained. And while everyone stopped to think about what he had just said, someone else had a different opinion.

"No, you are wrong. This isn't a turf war. This is worse. I don't know what's coming, but it's strong" Rodney said as he could sense a powerful energy approaching them very fast.

*BING*

*WARNING!!!*

And the notifications came pouring like that.

And then suddenly, a heavy gust of wind came flushing into their little hide out causing them to bang against the earth structure. And when they opened their eyes, they could see their little hide out had been destroyed completely exposing them to the beast they had all been hiding from. But that wasn't the worry at the Moment.

"Guys, what's wrong with her?" Blair said pointing at Mia who was partially levitating in the air.
