The major difference between the world Rodney and the legions found themselves and the world they had come from was one thing,"Normal". There was a huge disparity between what was normal in the two worlds. And right now, Rodney and his crew were figuring out that a lot of things were actually not normal in any sense at all.
"Is she supposed to be flying?. Is that like a new skill?" Eiko asked as they all got up after being blasted through their hide out by a powerful gust of wind. And now in front of them, their very own team mate, Mia, who was supposed to be unconscious was now above ground level and seemingly afloat.
"Well it doesn't look like she's flying to me. Look how she looks limp" Rodney pointed out and Mia wasn't herself yet. Her body quite alright hung in the air but the thing was she was still deep in her slumber and hadn't woken up yet which made her bend awkwardly in the air like she was being lifted by an invisible force.
But there was a force alright, the air slowly began to surround her and it was creating some kind of vortex round her. The force was so powerful it was pushing the branches that had fallen off from the tree on the ground away. And as time went on, the wind grew stronger and the legions could feel themselves being slightly pushed back by the force. They could barely see Mia as the wind had packed dust with it and therefore covered their views.
But Mia still in the vortex of wind with her upper body bent backwards, suddenly jerked. And then what followed up was her eyes shutting wide open. But they weren't the usual brown colour like before again. It had turned completely black with no trace of white in it. And then she opened her mouth and let out a loud scream from it.
"Arrghhhhhhh!!!!" Mia screamed.
The others though even through the noise the wind was causing had heard this clearly and they all turned to look at themselves wondering what was possibly happening to their team member. They weren't the only ones who were curious though. The beasts in the area had all seized doing what they were doing and moved backwards. And as for the strange figure that had appeared and was fighting the ape creatures, it had crawled over to the boy who was laying on the ground unmoving.
"Come on Luke, we have to leave here" The figure said as the body began to revert somewhat. The mane around the neck began to retract and the huge sharp teeth were now gone. And the eyes had changed back in shape and colour as well as they turned round and blue. Then the tail, a detail that wasn't picked by the legions who were watching due to the limited view they had also started retreating inside.
Then finally, the extra limbs that were at both sides of the figure's body also began to go back in. And now everything was back to normal, the strange figure turned out to be the same naked boy from earlier on. Still in his naked state, he bent down to pick the boy who laid on the ground and that's when the ape like creatures let out a loud roar reminding him it was far from over.
But he didn't need to struggle much to do anything. As in the next instant, lines started appearing on the body of the one still laying on the ground. And these lines were everywhere. They went from top to bottom and by the time it had finished appearing, they began to glow up red. With the glow, the lines turned out to be distinctive patterns and mark that meant something.
There was one that looked like a claw drawing on the boys shoulder area, large teeth at his back, strange beast like figures all glowing on the boy's body and then finally, the eyes of the sleeping boy shut open. And they were glowing full red with no white in it. But seeing what was happening, the boy that had been awake knew what would happen next as he shook his head.
"I don't like this form, but if this is what it takes, so be it" He said as he stared at the other boy who was now standing with glowing marks all over him. Then with one arm placed on the one who had glowing marks, marks too started to appear on his body and the same process was repeating itself. Only this time, his marks weren't glowing red, they were blue but they both had the same marks on their bodies.
But what was happening hadn't finished on either side yet as inside the wind vortex, Mia's clothes on her were ripping by the second like they were dried leaves. And her eyes were bleeding a black substance that flowed and only stopped close to the tip of her nose. Then her hair, her hair slowly changed from the normal bright pink colour that it used to be and starting turning grey. They had originally only gone past her shoulders slightly before but now they flowed down all the way to her waist region.
And then everything began to settle down and the wind stopped blowing fiercely. Now giving the chance for the legions to see a descending Mia who's physical features had completely changed. But that wasn't all that had changed. The sudden shift in aura was also noticed by Rodney just immediately as he had set eyes on Mia.
"Is she doing that thing you would do?" Blair said looking at Rodney for answers. The latter only stared back at him in confusion as he had no idea what the other meant by what he had said. All he knew right now was every part of him was telling him something was wrong and the quicker they got out of the situation, the better. But things didn't look like it would be ending so soon as a loud roar mixed with some strange sound was heard all the way from their back. Then turning their heads to see what it was, they were left with their mouths opened as they stared at two figures.
--------------
Far from where the legions were, somewhere deep in the forest. If one stood at a higher ground and looked down at the forest floor, there was a purple line moving through the trees at a fast speed. And down below in the forest, the cause of this glow was none other than Yang.
But suddenly he came to a screeching halt.
"Something feels wrong. It shouldn't take me this long to get back. Unless..." And he lifted his legs up and slammed it hard on the ground creating a loud bang that echoed across the area. But the goal was never to create a ruckus. No, matter of fact, it had done something else. As Yang looked around he could see the trees and ground flicker slightly.
"It can't be..." He said and then lifted his legs in anger yet again and stomped the ground even harder.
