[Let's keep voting and get to top 50 in power stones rankings. Would appreciate it if you all could drop a comment about the novel so far]
The plan had begun right from the moment Akira made that slip up by giving out their identities. It wasn't a head scratcher from then on what they needed to do. The only missing item in their plan was communication, and that was where a certain annoying voice came through for Rodney.
"You know the Rings are bonded to your DNA right?" Gypson said to Rodney. He had been silent for a while listening to all the plans Rodney was simulating in his head and they all came down to getting the others to play along. Each time he came to that stop, he would restart the plan to see how he could eliminate the others out of it and just go solo. But it seemly looked like he wouldn't be able to do this one on his own.
"Yes, what has that got to do with what's happening right now" Rodney asked as he wasn't too keen to give room for any distractions. He felt like he had gotten them all into this by asking them to surrender. And now wasn't the time for a chit chat with the voice in his head.
"So, all you need to communicate with them is the ring!" Gypson said clearly frustrated the boy wasn't on the same wavelength as he was. What's more is that he could tell the boy wasn't ready to listen to what he had to say. But nonetheless, his job was to guide this hot head even if he didn't like it.
"You know, for the fact that you are stuck in my head, I really thought you'd be updated on the current situation. I've got no ring!" Rodney clapped back clearly frustrated the other had wasted his time when he could be using it to plot a way out of the situation. The people that had chained them up didn't really have their comfort in mind as his wrist and ankle were beginning to hurt badly.
He had tried the few moments he got frustrated to break through the chains but that had proved really difficult. The new powers he was getting must have gotten to him making him forget that if there was ever a classification, he would still be considered to be an average or at best peak teenager, so breaking out of a chain shouldn't be an option for him not when it was even reinforced and made from beast cores.
"You really don't pay attention do you?. Remember what happened at the dojo when you saw the equipment you now have on?". Gypson stopped there letting the other figure out the remaining for himself.
"You mean the notification?. The equip and brand?" Rodney asked.
"Yes"Gypson replied.
"Don't you think that's a different case here?. There I had the item in sight before it popped up. But now the ring isn't with me" Rodney complained.
"Precisely, two different situations. You see bonded items never truly leave the user. All you have to do is think about using the item and see for yourself" Gypson said. From what Rodney had just heard from the voice in his head, he could somehow summon the ring to himself or atleast that was what he thought it meant.
"Legion com ...equip" Rodney said within his mind and as he waited, it didn't look like anything had happened. And just when he was about to let Gypson have a load of his anger for making him waste his time, he suddenly began to feel something tighten around his fingers and almost instantly when he looked up at his fingers, he could see the ring fitted right on his middle finger and a notification popped up instantly.

[Congratulations, you have summoned your first item]

[New quest : Find out more about the system]
"I didn't know it could do that. Thanks Gypson, how did you know?" Rodney asked.
"Really, is that what you are bothered about now?" Gypson replied and immediately Rodney began to focus on the task at hand, getting them free. Now he had achieved a tiny part out of the plan but there was still a big whole he had to fill.
"I have the ring now but how do I get the others to equip theirs?" He thought to himself as he was really embarrassed to ask Gypson a second time, fearing that the other might make it look easy like the first and inadvertently make him look like a fool. He was determined to think his way out of this one himself.
"What if I place a call to them?. If the ring's not with them, then maybe the system will alert them of the incoming call" he thought to himself.
"That could work, I mean there's a whole lot the system has done that even I did not expect it to. It was supposed to be a medium to transfer powers to you at a rate you can handle but all the other things it has been doing, I'm just in awe of it as you are" Gypson said. Hearing that there was a chance it could work, Rodney immediately opened his system and went to the call interface where all the names members of the legion were currently.
He saw the option to call individually and the one that said "Broadcast". He had an idea of how this would work. The broadcast option would save more time as he could connect with them all at the same time. So without wasting anymore time, he selected the broadcast option and immediately, a call was sent out to all members of the legion group. At the same time, they had all received the same system notification stating one thing.

[Incoming call from R.L]
[Ring needs to be equipped to start call]
[Equip ring]
[Yes] [No]
This was something beyond shocking for them. Of all things, they hadn't expected a call notification. They all looked at each other the moment the notification came though they couldn't see each others face quite clearly. Without wasting time, they all selected Yes to equip the Ring and just like in the case of Rodney, a ring appeared on their fingers and a system notification appeared as well.

[Ongoing call, would you like to join broadcast?] [Yes] [No]
And immediately they all accepted to join the call. Rodney's who was the caller, so that everyone's name had been highlighted as they joined the call. Without wasting time, he quickly began to inform them of his plan by silently whispering.
Normally this should caught the attention of the trio Orin, Tuffy and Akira but it didn't as he was smart enough to cover his whispers with the sound of the rattling chains throwing them off and not giving them any room to suspect what he was doing.
While he explained what he wanted them to do, Eiko came up with an idea and whispered to them as well.
"If we keep this up... we might get caught.... Blair and Erwin can't .....keep them distracted for too long.....I was thinking there's another way we can do this..... I would have done it already but since it has to concern.. ..you more Rodney....I'd like you to know first". The others heard what he had said though most of it was covered with the sound of chains rattling and the sound of him groaning like he was struggling to break free in between.
"Yeah sure ...what?" Rodney replied keeping the act up as well.
"When you went out on that hunt, we received a notification not just about your status. We also got a team reward for your success. I was wondering since we have the required amount of gold coins to get the ring's special feature, can .." Eiko was about to say the last part but got caught off instantly by Rodney.
"Are you out of your mind, what are you waiting for?. Let's do it already!" Rodney scolded silently. He couldn't believe at this moment Eiko would bother himself with protocols and things like that. He was just too upright and while this was commendable, now was not one of those times.
The special feature of the ring Eiko was talking about, was the telepathy. This feature allowed users to connect with one another telepathically. Although this was a nice feature to unlock, it was equally expensive. And the x factor they all considered was whether unlocking it with the required amount was just for one person.
If this was so, then it would take more than the twelve thousand gold coins for all of them to unlock it. But then again, wouldn't it be pretty useless for the system to make it that way considering it would require the second person to also have the skill for it to work. These were some of the things Eiko had considered that made him toss the idea aside when it had first popped in his head.
"Yeah about that..I don't have access to spend from the faction's vault.... I think you do"
This was true as the system had made made it that even though they could see how much they had, they couldn't really spend from it since its not their personal money but the faction they belonged to. They weren't sure if this was the system's way of maintaining order in the faction or something else but either way, it was fine with them.
[Unlock telepathy]
[Cost : 12000 gold coins]
[Would you like to unlock?]
[Yes] [No]
"Yes" Rodney said and immediately the skill was unlocked and the following notification popped up.
*Bing*
[New ring Feature costs : 12000]
[Charged from faction's balance : 12250]

[New quest : Find the last piece that makes your faction a unit]
"What now?.. What's with all the quests today?" Rodney thought as he observed the notifications that were displayed on his screen. But now was not the time to think about that as he had a plan to finish. And that's when the last notification popped up and this time it was general.
