"Eh?!!"
Wait, who is this?
My appearance wasn't one that could turn one's eyes in my direction. I had dark hair and dark brown eyes; that was it. The few memories I had with my mother showed me that we looked alike in terms of appearance, nothing else. The only thing I inherited from my father was the nose. That was it. I'm pretty sure one grows up with the same structure, meaning my baby self should also have black hair and deep brown eyes.
But…but the child I'm seeing straight through the mirror has purple eyes!
Purple eyes, the colour of a purple sapphire, and raven black hair with violet ends, like an ombre?
That's impossible.
"I must be seeing things," I thought, but as much as I stared, the reflection remained the same. It was dizzying, trying to comprehend what was happening once more.
This occurrence could only mean two things; I am either being pranked by the heavens, or I have gone completely mad!
I looked around the room once more, then it hit me; a room that looked nothing like a 21st-century room, it looked more like a historical room, a poorly kept one at that; And the maid is wearing a servants outfit that doesn't fit my timeline. And a child with a fantasy-like appearance;
Have I been transported into another world? Am I one of those victims I read in novels where they get transported into the novel?!!
AAAA!!!
I held my knees in frustration. Why all this? I just want to pass on peacefully? Is that too much to ask? The heavens now put me in a novel?
'Calm down,' I told myself, If I am really in a novel then I need to find out what novel it is. From what I have learnt from reading novels with the same occurrence like this, the person usually is taken to a novel they have already read.
Purple eyes, there were only three novels I've read that had any characters with purple eyes.
The first is about Xir, an adventurous knight, who travels to the enemy kingdom to save his beloved duchess from the clutches of a forced marriage to the enemy's emperor.
But this character is a guy, and I am not, unless he had a sister; but he was an orphan. No, it's not that.
The second one was about a commoner who was favored by a count for her kindness and gentleness and rose among the nobility, catching the eyes of three handsome men, a wizard, a prince and a knight; all three fighting to win her love. The typical commoner-to-nobility harem story.
And the third was a villainess who strived to be acknowledged by a family that didn't even want her and was willing to do anything for them to accept her, only for the female lead to be brought to the family and claim to be the real daughter. She hated the female lead and became a suspect of poisoning her, leading to her death.
Yikes.
These are the only novels I've read with purple-eyed characters, which would mean that I must be in one of them.
But which one was I?
Think Ah In, think.
I looked at myself in the mirror once more. None of the novels ever had characters as babies; most of the stories started from when they were grown, except the first one; they were all adults at the beginning of the novel. Could it be that the novel hasn't started yet?
This odd hair colour….
Xir had raven black hair, while the commoner-turned-princess had blonde hair that shone like the sun. The only person who had such hair like mine, dark black hair that turned violet towards the end just like an ombre…
Was the villainess in the third novel.
"Euuukk!!" I gasped in shock. It can't be! Of all the characters, why HER?!
