When Toya woke up, Reyes handed her the phone.
She heard Kelly's voice come through the phone.
"Toya?"
"It's me." She had just woken up and her voice was still a little slurred.
Finally, Kelly felt relieved after hearing Toya's voice.
"Are you okay?"
Toya remembered that she had planned to go to the Student Union this afternoon. She had even told Kelly about it, but she hadn't been able to go because of Carter and had forgotten to inform her.
She must have made Kelly worry.
"I had something on in the afternoon and couldn't go to the Student Union. I'm sorry, I should have told you in advance."
"I'm glad you're okay." Kelly patted her chest and said, "You don't know how frightened I was when I called you and heard a man answer instead!"
A man? Toya glanced at Reyes.
He opened the car door and let out his long legs.
He was dressed in black and he had a cold expression.
He did not look like a good person.
