Kira was exhausted after the days of planning the wedding with Anny. She has been told to stay back and rest but she wouldn't.
"I'm tired." She cried falling on her bed.
"Hey Pirate Queen." Melchoir walked into her room and the maids quickly rush out.
"Melchoir...." She whimpered.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" He asked hugging her.
"Body ache." She whimpered again.
"Sorry sweetheart. Will you use some of Pa James healing herbs? The wedding is in two days you can't be like this." He frowned.
"I'll be fine before then." She smiled resting in his arms.
"If you say so."Melchoir played with her hair.
A knock on the door distracted them.
"Your majesty, We need you at the Great Gates."
"I'll be there." Melchoir replied.
"The great Gates?" Kira asked.
"The great Gates of Vitalia is the Gates in the waters that prevents direct marine attacks." He replied.
"I didn't see it when we were returning home." She raised her brows.
"That's because it's always in the water. We don't bring it up. It only blocks submarines from entering without permission." Melchoir replied.
"Can I come along?" Kira asked.
"No, you're having body ache." He replied.
"No, I'm fine." She faked a smile.
"I'll only take you if you take some of Pa James healing herbs." He replied.
"Okay..."
She regretted it immediately she took the herbs. They were the most bitter thing she has ever drank in her entire life and the foul smell didn't help. She just wanted to puke.
"You'll feel better very soon." Pa James said.
Kira just stuck her tongue out not wanting to taste the herbs again. Melchoir chuckled and covered her mouth with his. He started sucking her tongue leading to a French kiss to help her remove the herbs from her tongue. His actions shocked her to the core.
"Okay now continue you session somewhere else." Pa James cleared his throat.
Melchoir let go of her and pecked her cheeks which were tomato red already.
"Let's go." He grabbed her and they appeared in her room. "I'm sorry, we'll have to travel normally. I don't want to compel anyone to forget about me."
"You can compel. Nice." She raised her shoulders.
"Come on. If we take my horse we should be able to get back by sundown." He helped her out of the castle which was the longest walk she's ever had. The castle was damn big.
Melchoir and Kira walked to the stable where Achilles stood with a black horse.
"Come on." He pulled her up to sit before him an he sat behind her with his arms around her waist and his hands holding the horse.
They both rode down the hill with great speed.
"Can you slow down a bit. I'll throw up." Sh covered her mouth and he did as she asked.
"This is how it usually feels when teleporting sweetheart. It's because you aren't the one doing the action so you can't feel it." He replied as he rode to the shore where the boat was waiting.
"It's so...." She couldn't finish before she rushed to throw up. "Guess it didn't work." She sighed cleaning her lips.
"So sorry sweetheart." He pecked her cheeks.
"Finally I get to travel on sea again." She smiled. "How long will it take us to get there?" She asked.
"Fifteen to twenty minutes." Melchoir replied.
"Not that long?" She rolled her eyes.
"Well the gates are a bit far to the kingdom to prevent any launch from hitting the village directly. We are currently working on another gate after the shore to also prevent attacks like that." He said.
"So it will be named the Great Gates of Melchoir. Nice." She smirked.
"How about the Great Gates of Melkira. Our names together. It is also one language I've forgotten the name but it means Protection." Melchoir rolled his eyes.
"Wow. Our names together has a meaning. Aren't we great." She smiled hugging him and he chuckled.
"You'll see how the gates will rise. It is the most facinating view ever." Melchoir said.
"It isn't up yet?" She asked.
"Yes." He replied.
"Your majesty, sorry for interrupting but the chamber is ready." A guard said.
"Kira, let's go." Melchoir pulled her along and she noticed him frown.
He then left her and grabbed the guard.
"Why are you looking at my queen like that. Oh.... she's facinating right?" Melchoir tossed him roughly making Kira gasp. "What were you looking at?"
"Your....your..."
"Answer me." Melchoir grabbed the poor guard's neck.
"I wasn't looking at anything your majesty." The guard trembled with fear in his eyes. Sweats dripped down his face as he gulped. The guard felt the hair around him turn chilly and cold even though the air was cold, the guard was sweating. Well he couldn't deny he was looking at Kira's body.
"One more lie and you'll be dead." Melchoir said in a dangerous tone making everyone including Kira stiff. Kira could see black air oozing out of him.
"I'll tell the truth my king, please don't kill me.." The guard pleaded with his voice filled with fear. "I was looking at her highness. I was looking at her body please your majesty."
The last sentence made him lose control. His fingers dug into the guard's neck.
"How dare you." He growled.
"Melchoir." Kira rushed to him and hugged him from behind. He suddenly relaxed relaxing his grip on the guard.
"Please Melchoir. Don't do that." She whispered.
Melchoir pushed the guard away and signaled to Achilles to deal with him. Melchoir turned to face her and wrapped his arms around her small figure. He used his magic to clean his hands without anyone noticing. He inhaled her scent and relaxed.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't take it." He sighed.
"It's okay." She pat his back gently.
He carried her to the room prepared for them on the ship.
"I didn't know you were this possessive." She chuckled as soon and they reached the room.
"I can show you how possessive and dominant I am right now." He smirked.
"No thanks." She smiled walking to the bed.
"Now that's the perfect spot." Before she knew it, he had pulled her to bed. She already beneath him with her lips captured with his.
A smile spread across her face and she wrapped her arms as round his neck and responded to his fierce kiss.
"Melchoir calm down.....I need to breath." She gasped and he let go of her lips kissing her cheeks down to her neck then her ear lobe making her moan. He flicked his tongue over her ear lobe again making her moan again.
Melchoir kissed down the side of her neck biting her teasingly.
"Melchoir..." She moaned and she pulled his hair making him look up and she crashed her lips on his.
A wicked smile settled on his lips and he responded to her kiss. When she needed some air he resumed his deed. He kissed down to her chest then suddenly went stiff when his lips touche her cleavage. He suddenly stopped an laid next to her.
She sat up and looked at him. She was surprised he suddenly stopped.
"Melchoir... What's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing." He lied.
"I know you're lying." She frowned.
"Well since you do.... I'm afraid I'll hurt you again like that last time Melva started controlling me. I don't want to hurt you. Now I'm even more worried about our first night together. What if she tries to control me again. It would be even worse if my father controls me." He sighed and she hugged him.
"It's okay. You don't have to be scared." She pat his back gently. "I know you can fight it okay? You can free yourself."
Then a knock on the door was heard.
"We're here." Achilles called from outside.
"And besides I like it when you are fierce." She winked at him before rushing out of the room.
Melchoir chuckled as he followed her. They both walked out of the room meeting Ralph and Xander.
"Oh, your highness. I thought you would be planning your bride luncheon right now." Ralph bowed.
"Oh no. I'm not. My mum and Uma are taking care of it." She smiled.
"What about the rehearsal dinner?" He asked.
"Same." She smiled even sweetly.
Melchoir snarled at Ralph to stop the questions and he obeyed.
Kira looked around and saw two boats on the water and a house on the water. There was another building about four hundred meters away from the first one.
"I thought there were war ships here." Kira whispered to Ralph.
"Oh yes there are. They are submarines which are convertible to ships. The y are underwater right now." Ralph replied earning another snarl from Melchoir.
"Oh, wow." She gasped.
"Tell them to put up the gates." Melchoir prevented her from asking further questions.
"Yes your majesty." Ralph said with a hint of sarcasm.
Two minutes after Ralph left some a loud sound was heard. The water started to be uneasy as the gates was being pulled up. The golden tip of the gates pointed out as it rose slowly.
"Is it made out of real gold?" Kira asked.
"Absolutely. The gold is enough to buy all the kingdoms in the world. The gates surrounds Vitalia." Melchoir replied.
"So the gates goes round the kingdom?" She asked.
"It's not a circle it's a square. The gates are on all four sides of the kingdom." Melchoir replied.
Kira looked at the gates which continued to rise. It rose very high that it seems to separate the sky between the land on Vitalia and the outer part. A statue made out of silver stood between the gates. It was a statue of a woman.
"Who is that?" She asked.
"It's Queen Vitalia." Melchoir replied.
"What?" She gasped.
"The kingdom was named after her. She was the first ruler who lead people out of slavery from other kingdoms here to this place. She fought with all her might to protect the people and she died after during war sacrificing her life for the safety of the kingdom. She was the one who made the project of the gates but she couldn't finish it till she died. Her son was the one who made her project a reality and the gates and kingdom was named after her." He smiled.
"Wow, that was epic." Kira gasped.
"And she was the first human who bore a demise." Melchoir smirked.
"What?" Kira gasped.
"She's one of my greatest aunt. My mother's family's line was the royalty before it was passed on to the next family. So the king then who was my greatest uncle fell in love with her and bam they had two sons. One was a demise and one was a human." He replied. "That's why I became king because I'm from Vitalia's bloodline."
"Wow." Kira gasped.
"Yeah." Melchoir looked up at the statue and bowed slightly.
Kira looked at the statue once again with astonishment. Vitalia's head was high and so we're her shoulders. Her golden crown sat on her head and her elegance could be seen despite it was just a statue made from silver.
"Is this the same gate preventing intruding submarines?"Kira asked.
"It is a two layered gate. This is the first layer and the second one is in." Melchoir replied and she nodded.
"Can you show me her real painting?" Kira asked.
"You must have seen it before. It's in all parts of the castle." Melchoir replied. "But I'll show you this particular one. Remind me."
