Zain held her dagger tightly in her hand, as she sneaked up behind the man. She quickly locked her arms around his neck, and dragged him inside a nearby room, forcing the blade through his neck. She closed the door behind her, as she came out. They began to hear shouting voices, coming from the back. They increased their steps, trying not to make any sound with their feet. Iris was constantly looking over shoulders as they went. They went right through a large door that stood ahead of them. Zain locked the door with the key she had. There were large windows, lined by the wall. Zain came close and looked through one of them, it led right out of the palace, but it was so high. It was the only way out by this time.
"Help me," said Zain, "Bring down the curtains," she said to Iris.
They both dragged down the curtains around the walls. They then linked them together, forming a rope. Zain tied one end of the rope to the rail of the window and threw down the rest of it.
