"I got into a new world~"
"One with superpowers like fantasized ice blaring cold into my heart and eyes."
…
Aria propelled her opened parasol on a skyscraper near the Requin's Museum. The heels clacked on the concrete floor, stepping on the ledge of the railing.
She stared at the glass roof of the museum to see the brilliance of the splendor of a festive party hosted for the superheroes.
"Tsk— didn't those nurses say that they'll be inviting important people? Why are there so many people there?"
Gatsby meowed, "It works in your favor, you can blend in."
The tall beauty in the black flowing dress squinted her eyes behind her black blindfold and gingerly bit her red lips into a devious grin. How exciting.
Aria had researched the museums and her city's history about what type of scarce artifacts and prized possession the governess will pull out for these superheroes.
She locked eyes on the oldest and rarest necklace the city had to offer.
Dating back from the founding years of the Requin City, the Red Tear necklace was a pure elemental ruby crystal in the shape of a teardrop from a mutated Red Wolf Queen.
Which captivated all those that saw it including Aria for it not only was it a sight to see, it proved to be beneficial as all monster crystals especially one of a queen variant, was good to boost your own powers and a great commodity to trade.
The dainty and silver chain that contrasted the ruby crystal magnificently made it look gorgeous, Aria knew that this was going to be hers hearing the rumors that the governess will put out the Red Tear necklace.
Her dress fluttered in the ballroom of the museum with an opened glass roof that showed the bright night and its full moon.
She walked from the platform of the stairs to look across the fields of people chatting and dancing on the floor.
Overlooking over the rails, she had stolen somebody's invite outside the museum though not taking his clothes and leaving him behind with great modesty.
Oh how nice of a villain she was.
She had stolen the invite and the limelight of the show with eyes casting over her when she first entered the entrance of the ball fashionably late.
The ambience went quiet before it resumed its trickling chattering.
The light shone on Aria highlighted her long legs and pale skin of her disguise as Rain.
There her long cascading hair matched her mysterious background of her blindfold that shielded the eyes around her.
She appeared like a beautiful yet innocent flower looking harmless as a little black rabbit with her flowing black dress contrasting to the colorful colors of the attendees.
She walked down the stairs with her hand on the rail and holding the closed parasol as if she was blind and needed some insistence.
'Gatsby, oh my world, I'm a born actress,' Aria mentally spoke to the floating cat beside her.
"Pfft—yeah right, you're already blind… don't look at me!"
'Oh, c'mon I think this act was really convincing,' Aria rolled her eyes at Gatsby's antics as she said back, 'see, look at these dimwits looking concerned for me.'
She hovered over the table full of wine with a glass of red wine in her hands.
The corners of her lips had some residue of the wine as she glanced at the men around her giving her second looks.
She inwardly raised her eyebrows because she knew she wasn't a beauty worth toppling countries for.
Aria contemplated that it's most likely because she is giving off a mysterious aura from y'know being new she assumed that the inner circles of the superheroes would know each other fairly well and the blindfold on her eyes.
Tsk, men.
When she entered the ballroom, she noticed that many were wearing formal gowns.
There were also many that wore their superhero suits because wearing one to any occasion especially for something superhero related was a common occurrence like a society norm of uniforms.
There were so few wearing masks like Aria's blindfold that although uncommon, masks were usually associated with a hidden yet secretive identity that latched onto the superheroes.
Some might get the misconception that she was a superhero due to unusual getup that could pass off as a hero's suit…
Or a villain's.
Aria felt somebody's voice clearing behind her, she turned to look and saw a youthful man with a toothy grin plastered across his face.
'Boy, why can't I have my peace and quiet when all I just wanted to do was lay around til they bring out the stuff man ugh.' The thought quickly passed her head as the young man spoke.
"Hello, Milady, from the dawn's light to the fluttering of the dress that compliments your night like eyes, my name is Su Ming, and what is your name?"
'Oh dear, what the heck is this.. this really can't be how second generation rich kids act right...'
"Really? You can call me Rain, Su Ming, nice to meet you."
Aria splattered a fake smile that seemed to make the youthful man in the well-fitted tuxedo blush, he spluttered.
"Ra-rain? What an usual name you have."
'No shit sherlock, I made that up'
He added quickly, "Uh— nice to meet you too," Aria couldn't look at this boy any further. It reminded him of her of how she was just as bad as it can get.
Su Ming returned, "Are you a superhero? I haven't heard of you before."
"Haha, yeah I'm new around here… it's just you haven't heard of me." Aria said while internally finishing it off with a smirk, 'as a villain.'
She noticed hearing a few bemoaning from the crowds, she zoomed into a group of laden boys that were staring at her and most presumably the boy in front of her.
So maybe a dare? Fun.
It reminded her of her friends too when they grouped up putting on a genuine smile on her face.
Su Ming who saw her smile was bedazzled by the mysterious new figure that his friends were picking on him to go after her even Qian Zhuang joined in the fun too.
He was really reluctant but losing the bet and looking at her expression, he didn't feel like it wasn't all for naught.
However for Aria, thankfully, this conversation ended when the booming voice of the host commenced and everybody stopped what they were doing to show respect to the host.
She went through the crowds leaving her newest acquaintance Su Ming because she didn't feel like lying to him about how she was graciously just a newly made superhero looking for connections.
Though it would've been fun to say, and see the look of betrayal on his face later on, she had to be in position for the goodies. After all she had a mission to complete and items to retrieve for her villainous lair. She couldn't wait to fill it up as she hummed along to her designated position.
The loud booming voice of the blonde hostess standing in the middle of the stage wearing a red extricated dress with a headset microphone spoke.
"Hello, superheroes and alike, my name is Mirarose Balenci and I'll be introducing you to our Requin's treasures. Since the founding of our city and our recent monster tide that took place, we like to honor the superheroes that have saved us yet again. We'll be auctioning 11 items and showcasing 15 in honor of 4 being the treasures of the Requin's history. Please wait for the end for the surprise," Mirarose, the glaring hot-like beauty said with a wink.
The audience including Aria soundingly clapped along as there was one thing in her head.
It's been confirmed things were going according to plan.
The Red Tear, she was vying for, was part of a collection of the Requin's Red Wolf Collection.
It consists of the Red Tear, the main necklace and core of the Red Wolf crystal that befalls the founding of the city and there then monster tide the queen was leading.
There was also a tiny miniature-like ruby ring and a pair of ruby earrings that was made from the crystal to then become the treasure like artifacts of the four items of the Requin City a known blacksmith of their time made, making many wanting to take a look at this famous collection.
It made the Requin City a tourist attraction to glimpse the elusive collection that during the time where supervillains were most rampant, a thief stole the Ruby Droplets pair of earrings that made the governor of that time to take these jewelry in hiding and foreboding visitors to see in case of any more of these to be taken.
The Ruby Droplets were saved and retrieved and given back to Requin City but the governor still kept them hidden. It wasn't only until today they were finally revealed.
Aria couldn't help but laugh inwardly that the Requin City will meet its misfortune again that all four of them will be swept under their noses.
She bit her lips realizing that she may not be the only thief to see this golden opportunity but she quickly calmed down because she had trust in herself.
Time flew by quickly as the hostess Mirarose grandly smiled to introduce the long awaited surprise as the assistants walked in with three glass boxes covered in red silk.
The first assistant moved the first box to Mirarose and in front of her.
She began describing the long awaited wait of the Red Droplets, Mirarose revealed a pair of shining ruby that glimmered from the ballroom's chandelier.
"The Red Droplets, a famous pair of earrings made by Blacksmith Qian to his wife. This pair of earrings that represents romantic and raw emotions is a rare artifact that has 222 cubic meters worth of storage. What unfiltered love as the number 222 symbolizes love and romantic relationships."
'God dammit, I got fed dog food again.'
The blonde hostess moved on to the second to the third from revealing the pair of earrings then to the ruby ring of equally high rarity.
Aria was standing like the other people in the audience to see the main attraction of the Red Tear necklace that was rumored to hold the power of deterrence among wolves.
Especially red wolf types because the crystal was able to hold a percentage of the Red Wolf Queen's power, it was heard that whoever wears the necklace can command the red wolves.
Quickly forgetting the short episode of public display of affection that continues even after the history of these publicly famous figures.
Mirarose Balenci pulled the red silk from the glass box to reveal an empty cushioned box.
"What? Somebody stole the Red Tear necklace!"
A wave of panic filtered through the audience as a hideous expression flashed through Aria's face, clenching her parasol with both of hands tightly.
'They done it… They done it,' in an exaggerated manner.
"Security! Call security, move these boxes away," called Mirarose who was obviously in a panic but held in her calm.
'Nope, not today.'
"Yeah, that's right, get those bitches!" Gatsby yelled joyfully with his paws out in the air.
Aria threw a bought pair of smoke grenades from the system at where the boxes were and gray ashy smoke quickly fanned through the ballroom.
Aria quickly swooped in with her quick agility and grabbed the pair of earrings and ring into her system inventory along with the rest of the 11 items that were there on the stage.
They were now just sitting there in her villain lair.
She quickly examined the room from her blindfold that was fortunately able to see through the smoke because as luck would have it the 1 system point did more than just enable her to see.
She spotted a wave of guards heading towards a direction, what seemingly was left by the trails of the main perpetrator of the Red Tear. She bolted straight towards the roof in a short cut before hearing a sound of curses left behind.
"The Red Droplets are gone!"
"What? The Red Ruby is gone too!"
"Wah-ah? The items… the other items are also gone!"
Suddenly arriving at the glass rooftop, she saw a wave of dressed superheroes confronting a black cloaked villain standing on top of a rail dangling the Red Tear carelessly.
How dare they!
The sound of a masculine voice echoed towards the heroes as she had quietly sneaked around for a hiding spot.
"You're too slow," he said mischievously as he continued.
"We've had our fun, the Lynnix of Qian's dog," he laughed into a hysterical fit easing to a dramatic gesture of wiping a tear from his face.
"You're crazy, we won't stop until we hunt you down," a deep and mature voice angrily spoke from the butler with a monocle and a neat appearance.
"We've taken this back not once but twice," he said in a grin that peaked from his black mask.
His foot slipped from the railings to leave a dramatic exit with his arms wide to see the expressions of his long time enemy fall.
"Long live the—" as he falled down from the roof to see the cresten fallen expression of the butler's face and his group of so-called heroes that was not even able to capture him, a lone villain in operation.
He felt a pull from his hand and a tug that had let go of the necklace, he was now the one that turned ugly.
There in the moonlight reflection, the cloaked villain saw a woman by his side falling too but she was laughing at his face holding what seemed like the Red Tear necklace that was in his hands moments ago.
Her mouth shaped a devious smirk on her bright red lips, "You're too slow."
She had quickly bolted away under the night, with a pull that had caused distance among themselves. All the cloaked villain heard was her laugh getting farther and farther.
Aria smiled as she looked at the Red Tear in her hand.
It dangled loosely on a silver chain shimmering under the light, she had loved the necklace the very moment she looked at it on the web and now looking closer.
The red ruby was a large sparkly crystal that would make all other people envious.
It was a mission well-done.
"Ooh, now you have all the pieces of the Red Wolf Collection!" Gatsby giggled that she had completed her mission splendidly.
Aria laughed along while contemplating, "Hmm, Gatsby was I too much? It is fun to jab at other people though."
She muttered, "Hope he didn't take too much offense."
But then as she pulled the Red Tear into her system inventory from her hand that went into her black garter belt that acted like extra storage and for appearance, she felt a tug on her arm.
