Quick change was a convenient thing to be had.
Aria had quickly zipped out of there and was already on her way to her friend's meetup place with her usual outfit and a jacket to go with the cold night then.
Oh how her friends will yank their months about how fashionably late she was.
Standing in front of the gates of her friend's apartment she just smiled when she saw a little head peeking out from the door.
With dainty strips of purple highlights streaking across her contrasted black hair, a pair of large eyes squinted before squealing loudly.
"Ah! Aria you are finally here! Adelynn you lost the bet, she arrived before 2, gimme that special edition Arocko mini figure!"
Pfft, were they betting on how late she would be?
Wait, something feels wrong here…
"HUH, did I hear you guys had a limited edition Arocko mini figure?" Her eyes widened in shock.
Aria quickly rushed forward, closing the door with a slam before she went to the living room and saw an Arocko mini figurine was firmly grasped in Ari's hand with a trumpish grin plastered across her face.
Her purple highlighted hair was messily skewed around her forehead as the sweat dripped off her, she widely proclaimed to the grouched girl on the couch, "Ha! Adelynn plus one for me!"
She shook the figurine around carelessly receiving both death glares from her and Adelynn.
"Aww, c'mon didn't you buy two of these? Why'd you look so upset," Ari laughed out manically.
Tsk, she wouldn't be talking if she had her idol's mini figurine in her hand.
Aria and Adelynn looked at each other for a brief second before nodding.
There was an instant connection between the two bonding over the zealous and happy Ari from her power hungered win from just a measly bet.
Alora popped out from the kitchen before they could enact their plan. Her wavy, long hair was smothered from the pinkness of her undertone. That was her natural hair color, crazy right?
"Aria you are just in time for the hotpot, c'mon guys it's ready now," she turned her head back to the kitchen.
Fine.
Ari got it easy for now as the trio started walking to the diner table where what awaits was delicious sizzling soup covered in all sorts of ingredients with piles of other dishes to come along.
They dived right into the meal, and not before long their mouths were watering from salvation.
Ari's face turned to her in a questioningly manner, "Huh, Aria where'd you been?" Adelynn snapped back along, "Yeah we should be calling you the late queen instead"
"Like you do know we have a concert."
"Yeah our big concert, and not like the ones in the battle fields," showed a scrunched up face by Ari sticking her tongue in disgust.
Aria soon inputted with a gushing sarcasm, "Oh wait, you guys didn't enjoy killing those monsters? Ouch, that hurts my feelings that I am the only one."
"Also did you just belittle me~!!!"
"Oh don't be stupid girls. Do you guys all remembered what you need for tomorrow?"
"Yeah yeah yeah!!" Alora sighed looking at the rest of the girls continuing to mess around.
"Wait... Aria, you didn't forget to bring anything right?"
"Ehh Aria did you remember to bring your guitar?!"
"I-..."
"Aria! Seriously?!" Adelynn's eyes popped wide open.
"... BAHAHHAHA Look at your faces," Aria screamed in laughter looking at their faces instantly scrunched up in a devious face.
"Wait guys... I'm just joking. Stand back y'all I have a fist and I'm not afraid to use it!"
But with the last gulp of food eaten with a sound of full children, they had all grouped into the couch.
Spending the night with splendor of music and singing, the lights only turned off late into the night.
…
Aria was the first to wake up rubbing her eyes to see her friends sleep like a mess all over the living room.
Yawning, she walked to the kitchen to grab a cold bottle of water in the refrigerator.
Aria, getting rid of her thirst, decided to get ready while the other's took their time closing their eyes from the rising sunrise.
Ever since her arrival, her connection with the original body seems to seemingly be intertwined that she felt like her experiences were hers. The same body, the same face, the same family but an alternative universe where she had lived. She felt grateful she got a second chance.
Aria clenched her fist as she slowly unraveled and gave a warming smile to team captain Alora getting up from the couch.
"Good morning Aria, I see you are too excited for the concert?"
Alora giggled, waking up the others from their drowsy sleep.
Soon after the group got dressed up and took their bags to the car, they headed to the train station where they were going to go to the concert hall early to scout and prepare.
They went to their booked room and each of the girls put their luggages to each of their respectful beds. They sat on their beds getting comfortable as they waited for the train to start a half day worth of traveling.
Ari holding her stuffed penguin groaned into Mr. Rock rolling on her bed in frustration.
"I am so nervous. We've never done such a big concert."
"Ari don't be so nervous," Alora got up to her bed and tried to comfort her with a hug.
"We have done plenty of smaller performances. It's just that this one is a little bigger."
"Yeah. It's just a little bigger, maybe 100 times our normal scale. No biggie."
Alora facepalm seeing Ari get more worked up and the elegantly dressed Adelyn rolled her eyes puffing up her cheeks. It would have been more convincing of Adelyn if she wasn't holding herself up with a blanket wrapped around herself like a cocoon.
Aria was too embarrassed seeing this type of atmosphere so she thought.
"Guys, don't be so worried. We have done so many more troublesome inducing situations than a concert. And you know what we did to those?"
Alora smiled, "Yeah, we lived and survived."
"That's right! We managed to somehow defeat a horde of monsters that was above our level! That was crazy and who are we?"
"4A, music about! Lived to die, friends!
The band looked at each other and suddenly laughed at the situation.
The depressive mood was gone and entered a more easy going atmosphere.
Adelyn calming down first was embarrassed.
"But guys we seriously need a better chant."
…
After arriving at the City of Light, the bustling train station was soon welcoming an entourage of bands going into the gates.
The City of Light is best known for its festive atmosphere and housing the country's famous concert halls. It was a city where all bands and performers yearn to take a stage on and perform. It houses legendary singers and world-famous bands, the tickets sold in these halls are always sold in seconds.
Aria has only been here once with her parents when she was a little girl. Her parents had managed to get tickets for the whole family to watch the Masked King, the world's beloved singer that everybody admired for both his strong and soothing voice but also the revolutionary start for all support-type to look into a new world that corporated support-type powers into more than just sitting in the back of a team. We could contribute more than sitting ducks!
Masked King was the idol of Aria. The moment she saw him perform on stage at the Concert Hall of Fame. She knew she wanted to be a singer just like him.
Tucked in all the dreams with a deep breath.
Aria and the girls walked into the gates of Light, where all the dreams could come true.
