"Hey, guys! Long time no see! It's been about... what, a couple of years since we received a new addition?" Ama began talking, but the mean man who sat on a chair without a shirt and muscles that were bigger than I've ever seen before didn't take his eyes off of me.
"Why is this pile of bones looking at me?" He asked me.
"You're the one with a staring problem," I told him. I don't know why I was talking back to a man who could split me in half with a singular finger, but hey, Papiya said I couldn't die, so I felt invincible right now.
"Jupiter, calm down. Nobody is impressed." Ama commented.
Jupiter, who had brown hair and black eyes, sat back in his chair after making some sort of mean comment under his breath again.
"Don't worry, Jupi, we'll show this new blood how us Patriarchs roll!" Another one said. He was clad in a suit of weird armor, patterned with silver lattice and a wide-brimmed hat. He had white hair that was flowing out from underneath it, and black eyes, just like Jupiter.
I usually don't analyze appearances like this... but it was all I could do. I don't even know where to begin with how these people acted. They seemed annoying to deal with.
"Yeah, Odin! Maybe we can scrape together something from the way this new guy acts." Another one said. Is this how they were going to introduce themselves? This time around, he had blue hair and green eyes. This was getting annoying.
I decided to look at all of their appearances and ask for their names on my own before this pointless dialogue continued.
"Enough. What's your name? And yours." I said, moving all around the table while pointing at everybody.
Ukko, which was the one I was talking to with blue hair, was sitting next to Papiya, who was sitting next to a man named Shiva, who strangely had black hair and no iris color.
Sitting next to Shiva was Kukulkan, who had green hair with yellow roots, and a blue mask sitting on his face.
Next to Kukulkan was a man named Uranus, who had light blue hair and purple eyes. What's with all the damn blue hair?
Okay, that was everybody.
"So, what's special about this guy? What made you want to make him a Patriarch? And where's Zeus?" Jupiter asked Ama. That's when Papiya laughed, slapping her knee and leaning over the table.
"Get this Jupi! Zeus and Ono are dead! This guy killed him!" Papiya said, laughing alone. I got stares from seven of the eight Patriarchs sitting around the table me.
"This scrawny guy killed Zeus? I don't believe that. Zeus could've taken out half of us, and you mean to tell me this guy with a stick killed him?" Jupiter asked again. He was very... well-spoken about how weak I was. It was starting to get annoying.
"Yes, holy shit. Do you want to call me scrawny again? I don't think everybody understood what you said." I told him. Again, the short-tempered man slammed his hands onto the table out of rage but was put back into his chair by a wave of Amaterasu's finger.
"Oh come on Anima, don't tease him. You know by his looks that he's a barbaric idiot. It's a quick way to die if you're looking to do so. Yes, I've confirmed myself that Anima has killed Zeus. That's why he is here, at my discretion." Ama explained to everybody.
"I don't believe it... so, now what, you want to recruit him into the Patriarchs? I don't think he's strong enough for that kind of thing." Jupiter, surprisingly, said.
"There you go again. Are you even strong? Seems like you're put down by everybody else for being so stupid that you can't hold your snarky comments in. I killed Zeus, and I wouldn't have any problem dueling with you to prove my strength." I said. I didn't think Ama would let a duel slide, but once she nodded, I realized how badly I messed up.
Ama could read my mind, so she was smiling at my misfortune, but I didn't let that fear show on my face.
Jupiter stood on the large wooden table and started walking over to me. I left my staff on my back and crossed my arms as he closed the distance.
"You better throw one of your pathetic skills at me before you die," Jupiter told me.
"No need," I replied to his remark.
Jupiter cocked his fist back and just as he was about to slam it into my chest, I held out my left hand.
"[Cannon]"
Now, I had no idea what kind of damage that would do, but, it was enough to cause Amaterasu to block the attack with her weird powers and throw Jupiter back into his seat. I stood alone on my side of the table as he looked back up at me with a surprised look.
"That skill would've put a hole in your chest, Jupi. You're lucky I held him back. And, just so we're clear, Anima. That skill wouldn't have been able to do that if you weren't labeled a Patriarch already." Ama explained.
"I'm not sure how that works, but I understand." I told her, turning around to go sit back in my seat.
"Now that we've had that sorted out, I think it's time that we move around the table and ask for approval. Jupiter." Ama started.
"No."
"Sure!
"I guess so."
"No."
"It seems correct to me."
"I can't wait for it!"
"Yes."
Jupiter, Odin, Ukko, Papiya, Shiva, Kukulkan, and Uranus all answered in that order.
"By majority vote, Anima will become a Patriarch! Due to the events that led up to this small meeting... he will go by The Demon Patriarch, for his previous reputation as a Demon from Sieve's kingdom for siding with the Outsiders." Ama clarified. I don't know what that meant, but I wasn't about to disagree with it.
