Ama slid a piece of paper along the table, revealing a long list of names and titles.
Amaterasu - The First Patriarch
Jupiter - The Strong Patriarch
Odin - The Charisma Patriarch
Ukko - The Bright Patriarch
Papiya - The Dastard Patriarch
Shiva - The Eloquent Patriarch
Kukulkan - The Fast Patriarch
Uranus - The Ethereal Patriarch
Anima - The Demon Patriarch
"So, this is all of us?" I asked her. She nodded, taking the paper back and storing it away in what I assumed was her inventory.
"From this point on, your reputation as The Demon Patriarch is spreading and you will be named and referred to as that in official meetings. Whatever you wish to do is up to you, but when you are called for a meeting, I will come to get you and you will follow with no resistance at all. Do you understand me?" Ama asked me.
"I guess so, yes," I replied quickly.
"And, as for you stats like health, I've increased their capacity by five times the original amount," Ama added on.
[Anima - 32]
[Health - 3750]
[Mana - 52500]
[Stamina - 3550]
[Soul Power - 125]
Wow... my mana was insane now. I could probably pull off a lot more skills. I would have to spend time learning more and upgrading them, and store them in my arsenal if at all possible, but this was it. I could improve much more at this rate.
"This concludes the basic means of this meeting, does anybody have anything else to share within this meeting?" Ama asked everybody. Nobody spoke up... until I rose my hand.
The people in the group known as Prism. How threatening are they? Would they be a problem for me?" I asked everybody.
"No, they're small fry at this point, not even worth your time, if we're being honest," Ama stated.
"I think you're wrong about that. I owe one of them a visit, and an ass-whooping. Tell me, is there a skill I can get that can locate where people are?" I asked everybody... but they stood, staring at me like I just killed kittens in front of them.
"And that's why he's the Demon Patriarch. Ascending to this level of power, and you still wish to torment such futile beings?" Jupiter said.
"Of all people, I didn't think meathead would be scolding me about this. I don't need your criticism. I need answers. So, can I get what I'm looking for?" I asked them again.
"You could... do you want it?" Papiya slyly mentioned from across the table.
"I have a feeling I don't want any such thing from you," I replied to Papiya.
"Anima, you said that you had to play her game or whatever, why not just take it from her?" Ruby asked me from behind.
"I'll throw in a better deal for you. Your Pretorian friend can confirm how good this is." Papiya said, pulling her right eye open. Ken gasped and looked into it with confusion.
"What is it? Don't keep me in suspense." I told Ken.
"She has what you're looking for. You see, Anima, in Pretoria, our Ocular Abilities are put on a scale from F to S, and the one she has in that eye is an A-Rated Ocular Ability... or AOA. It's called Apostility, and it can track people and objects at your own will." He explained to me.
"It seems that everybody else can leave. Papiya and Anima are the only ones saying anything." Ama repeated herself from earlier and everybody got up to leave, walking down their paths as Papiya closed her eye finally and leaned back in her chair.
"Sky, you're not going to get another chance to implant yourself with an OA, you should take this. Hey, what is your game like?" Ken asked Papiya for me. He was awfully eager...
"It's simple. It's called Memory Lock. In Memory Lock, you relive your memories and are strained by awakening your worst ones. If you can survive Memory Lock, I'll let you have Apostility and walk away free from killing my brother." Papiya told me.
"It sounds like there's some kind of awful twist to this. I will be the only one playing, right?" I asked her.
"Come on, that ruins the fun of the game. Tell me, what game is fun with one person?" Papiya said with a smile.
"That's why you're called the Dastard Patriarch. You're pretty vile, you know that?" I asked her.
Papiya popped the lid off of a bottle on the table and drank out of it. Then, she slammed it back onto the table, smashing it and looking at me.
"I don't want to hear that from the Patriarch who killed my brother to steal his ranking." She told me. She pushed herself out of her seat, turned around, and walked out.
"How do you like your new cloak? Fashioned to fit in the orange sleeve." Ipa said, handing me my new outfit.
"Thanks... I appreciate it." I told him. I slid it on and looked at it. I loved the style and gave him a thumbs up while looking back at Ama.
"I have a lot to break down from this meeting... but, what do I do now?" I asked her.
"I don't control your movements. Whatever it is that you want to do, you are allowed to do. If you want to gather all elements to go kill Joro, you can go ahead and do that. I won't stop you. These people... they all have God Complexes. That's the main reason why I put them in The Patriarchs. They had qualities of leaders that nobody could match." Ama began to admit.
"You're telling me nobody could match Jupiter, and you thought that was a good thing?" I asked her.
"Take it as you will. The people I've recruited are all important in their own ways. You're the only outlier, as your quality and justification for being here are Zeus's death and your inherent ability to stop caring about how people feel to push your own agenda. Borderline psychotic. That's okay, as it makes you a strong ally. Well, I believe this will end our meeting. Do as you please Anima. Whether it be to play Papiya's game, or to head for Hades Tower, Persephone's Cliffside, or Hera's factory. Good luck." Ama said, smiling, and disappearing.
"Wow... she really called you out, didn't she?" Ipa commented. I sighed.
