I walked behind Amaterasu and Ruby, who were conversing about something random. I was clutching onto the orange sleeve Soul handed to me... what do I do with this? Where do I put it?
"Hey, Anima. What do you plan to do with that?" Ipa asked me.
Was he reading my mind?
"I'm not sure... it doesn't really fit with my black cloak. Have any suggestions?" I asked Ipa.
"Plenty. If you have an asymmetrical black cloak, you can split that sleeve down the middle and fill in the space. Or, over on the side with more of the cloak, you could put that as your sleeve and continue your style. What would you like?" He asked me.
"Huh? Can you make it for me or something?" I asked him.
"I have a sewing needle and I made most of my outfits, so, I could try," Ipa told me.
"I would like that, thanks. Whenever we get to a stable table, would you be okay with making it?" I asked him.
"Just give me it now. I can do it while walking." Ipa said. I nodded in surprise, taking off my black cloak and handing it to him. All that was left was a gray shirt tattered with blood and rips underneath. I forgot, my potions don't heal my clothing... actually, how did the cloak not get any rips?
Hm...
"I've never seen you without that cloak. You look... normal." Ken said, looking away from me.
"That was a really weird thing to say, but thanks, I guess. Oh, I'm still not done with you, or you, Ipa. You told me you were a Hero, but I haven't seen anything alluding to that fact. What Hero even are you?" I asked him.
"The Dagger Hero, don't you remember? I thought you knew that. There are so many Heroes that it doesn't even matter which weapon we use. I'm more surprised that Ken isn't a Hero. I saw what he pulled." Ipa commented.
"And yeah, Ken! What the hell was that all about? You can move my entire body with a skill, and change the way skills are shot off just with a skill? You need to teach me some of those!" I yelled at him.
"I can't since most of them are Pretorian Related. Meaning, without the Pretoria Genome, you can't have it." Ken said.
"Hmph." I bluntly replied, throwing a potion down the hill.
"[Replace]" I said... but nothing happened. I guess he was right. Or, maybe I couldn't copy that skill for other reasons... anything to make Ken wrong!
"Anyway, I didn't think Dex and Hex would be so okay with you leaving," Amaterasu told me after her conversation with Ruby came to a close.
"It's not like we're leaving forever... right?" I asked Amaterasu, analyzing her movements to see if this was a trap.
"Correct... but still. Well, the place is right over here. I'll use my skill and teleport us all there." Amaterasu explained.
Teleport? I thought that skill didn't exist.
If I heard Amaterasu say the name of the skill... could I steal it?
"No, you can't steal it, because I don't need to say the name of it," Amaterasu said. I perked up in surprise and looked at the ground in confusion.
"Did you forget I can read minds? You probably did, didn't you? You seem to forget a lot, Anima." Amaterasu told me. I clicked my tongue and looked to the side as we approached the empty cliffside.
"Okay, here we go." She said, snapping her fingers.
Once she did... we appeared in a strange place with a large entranceway. There was red smoke in the distance as if we were in space and standing on a barren plane that could see into the stars for millions of miles.
The pathway was patterned with weird, red polygons that led to a very large circular table. Probably about the size of a small house. Nobody was there yet, and once Amaterasu noticed, she stopped in front of us.
"Now we wait here for everybody else to arrive." She said, sitting beside the pillar while closing her eyes.
"While we're waiting, how is everybody's health?" I asked. I suddenly remembered that my own health wouldn't pass 10. I had to bring that up with Amaterasu.
"The reason your health is so low is that you're awaiting your inauguration of becoming a Patriarch." She said, reading my mind again. What a scary lady.
"What? Why is your health low? Why don't you drink a potion?" Ruby asked me.
"It's so weird hearing that Anima is becoming a Patriarch..." Ipa made a small comment, sitting down on the floor as well while knitting together my new outfit.
"It's to be expected," Ken muttered.
"Look at that. Your friends are pretty confident that you deserve the title. Isn't that nice of them? Well, that's what friends are for, I guess." Amaterasu commented.
"Amaterasu, how long have you been a Patriarch?" I asked her, but she rose her hands and held them up as if she was blocking me or something.
"Please! Call me Ama. It's much easier for the both of us... and I don't know, probably a long time. " She said, closing her eyes and going silent again. Ama huh... I could get behind that nickname.
"Oh. They're here." Ama said, getting up and walking to the table.
From several different directions and several other pathways, seven other people in total came walking over from the pathways that all neatly arranged themselves to line up with chairs on each angle.
"Ama! It's been so long!" I heard a familiar voice, and when turning my head, realized that Papiya was here... she was a Patriarch?!
Holy shit... I think I'm going to be sick...
There were tons of people of all kinds here, people that made me shiver as they sat in their respective chairs, slamming their hands down on the table with various drinks that spawned in from the air. Ama turned back to me with a light smile, and took her seat, even pulling mine out with a wave of her finger.
"Anima... this is kind of scary..." Ruby made a slight comment, and everybody turned to look at her. She hid behind me, and I confidently walked over to my chair.
Come on Anima... fake it until you make it... you got this...
