I shouted, "Behind you" then shot just close to Blake's face. It went straight through the forehead of the feral coming up behind. He froze in shock with his eyes wide open, raising his head slowly to meet my eyes, his face still white from shock.

I waved my palm in front of his starstruck face, 

  "Hello, is anyone home?"

causing him to blink a couple of times.

He grabbed my collar, breathing heavily down my face, "you almost shot me."

With a smug grin, while being lifted off the ground I replied, "keyword almost"

I grinned from ear to ear, he gave up letting me go.

"I could never leave my life in your hands" he shook his head repeatedly as if imagining it was even worse.

"A fair warning would be more appropriate next time." I gave him a thumbs up.
