As I stepped out of portal, my stomach cramped.
"Still not used to it?"
"No. I don't understand. Shouldn't it be same thing as entering a dungeon?"
"I know portal crafters that would kill you if they heard you."
Using teleportation portals for travel was still new to me. I looked around.
"Anyways, where are we?"
I asked Elizabeth.
"Isn't it obvious? I promised you a bow from my treasure, didn't I?"
"Well, I couldn't fully complete it."
Elizabeth shook her head.
"I am a merciful mistress."
"Tell it to my back."
My words seemed to affect her. She seemed to down and less energetic. I was just joking.
"You are right. I behaved… emotional."
I couldn't see her face as she walked front of me. I didn't use Hawkeye to see it. I felt like I made a mistake.
"Anyways, is this treasury? It doesn't seem particularly safe."
We never met with any guards. I also couldn't detect any traps.
"It is one of them. Only reason you can say that it because you are with me. If you came here alone, you would be dead already."
Some kind of magic formation that only reacts when Elizabeth is not here? I used Hawkeye to look into magic formation. It was incredibly complex and huge. It wasn't something I could break or read.
"One of them? How many treasuries do you even need?"
"Several tens of them."
She is rich. Very, very rich.
"Anyway we are here."
We stopped front of a huge gate. Two huge statues holding swords guarded the gate.
"Golems?"
"Yes. Do you want to have a spar with them?"
She asked mischievously.
"Can I? What if I break them?"
She smiled.
"You seem confident."
My body currently bursted with power. Not only my physical capabilities increased, I also learned to handle mana better. While an inanimate objects like golems was harder to read with Hawkeye, I still rely on my battle experience.
"I want to test out my limits. Do we have time?"
She smiled, this time with content.
"I don't have anything better to do."
Since Council meeting ended, Elizabeth didn't had better things to do.
"So, do I go against both of them?"
She laughed.
"You really confident today. First fight one successfully."
She snapped her finger and the left one started to move. It was slightly over 5 meters.
"It is much more stronger than the golems Alice created."
I remembered the golems made out of rubble. Those looked like toys when I compered them to this one.
"Von Tag?"
He raised his sword before striking me at immense speeds. I dodged while pulling my sword as countless stone shards rained down. It didn't stop or slow down. It kept striking.
"Is this classic German swordsmanship?"
While I was training to handle my sword better, I studied several schools of sword. German sword handling was one of them. The style this golem used was the same type I studied!
"It is early to be suprised."
The black metal sword it held started to shine with grey mana.
"It can use mana!"
Sword hit me. I blocked it with mine yet I was thrown away and slammed to a wall.
"This thing better not form into a habit."
Getting slammed to walls wasn't a good habit to have. My arms went numb and my back hurt like crazy.
"It is huge and fast. It knows swordsmanship. It can even use mana?"
Grey mana covered its entire sword.
"Mana Blade."
I couldn't just block and dodge. Sword Aura covered my sword. Before it was like a faint haze but now it was much more intense. I felt mana flowing much more clearly and easily. I launched myself forward creating a crater where I stood. My sword clashed with his.
(You took the first step to incorporate mana and martial arts. All stats are increasing.)
Despite shock waves being created due our clash, golem didn't even so much as budge. It just blocked my sword easily.
"How much strength does it have?"
We kept clashing. Its strikes were so fierce that skin started to peel away from my hands. Blood dripped and my grip became shaky. Despite that I was calm. I controlled my breathing and circulated mana.
"Is this what Edward felt like?"
Despite the immense pressure my mind and my body was under, I was full of energy. I felt like my muscles were going to explode with power. Despite the all power I had, I was pushed back. That thing didn't even had a scratch on it. Its swordsmanship combined with a golems physical capabilities and mana made it an unscalable wall.
"I have one rope to climb."
Sword Art I created during my fight against Leviathan. It was something I came up when I was between life and death. In an uncertain boundary. Even though I tried to use it after that I failed. But now…
(You are fighting against an enemy above your level. Your growth is fastening.)
I had a mana circulation skill and tougher body.
"Focus."
Shoulder relaxed. Loosen the grip. Unclench your jaw. Focus on tip of your sword.
"Shit!"
I dodged to left. I had to focus and put my entire being into it. But against an enemy like it, I had no breathing room. If I focused anything else but dodging and blocking it, I would die!
"Come on! Come on!"
My arms hurt like crazy. I wasn't even sure if I was gripping my sword without looking at it. My body was covered in sweat. I breathed like crazy.
"That's enough."
It stopped moving and went back to its original place.
"Just give me more time!"
If I fought more, I could get a hint about how to use Sword Art!
"I said enough, Burak. You will have more time to train. Let's get you a good bow before it."
My shoulder collapsed.
"Don't sulk like a child. Come on."
Both of golems moved and opened the gate for us.
