Council seemed to calm down after that. Elizabeth still shot dagger like stares to me though. Alucard snapped his fingers and the butler that brought me here appeared out of thin air. He leaned forward and Alucard whispered something to him. He disappeared and appeared just like before. He handed Alucard something. A red stone?
"This is a Blood Stone."
He showed it to me.
"It is made by refining and purifying huge amounts of blood. Shallowing it can give you the power you need to fulfill the mission I am about to give you."
He hold out it for me to take. I looked at Elizabeth for approval. She nodded. I grabbed it and hold it in my hand. Just by holding it I could understand how much mana it held.
"You can use it now here."
While it sounded like a permission, it was more like an order.
"I gave you that so you must use it."
That's what he thought. I put it to my mouth and shallowed it at once. It hurt my mouth and throat but it was nothing compered to what came after. I felt my blood vessel expand. My heart rate doubled. I felt my body burning.
(Immense amounts of mana entered the body. If not controlled, User will be burned from inside.)
The power Blood Stone carried was too much for me to handle. I fell down to one knee. I clenched my teeth. It felt like all of my nerves were on fire.
"Argh!"
"Can't even handle it."
"Not so arrogant now?"
I heard snickering. I couldn't tell who was mocking me. Were they happy? Happy that I was in pain.
"Fuck that."
I heard skulls getting crushed. Arm being broken. People screaming to their comrades to kill them.
"No."
I didn't heard them. I remembered them.
"If I want to stop them."
I had to get stronger. I had to control the power I was given. No, I wasn't given anything. I had to acquire it. I managed to track down and capture Alice Bathory. I managed to chase away Will Talbot. I defeated the man other Council members sent. I weren't just given something. I deserved this. And now, I will control it.
"My blood is my mana and my mana is my blood."
I closed my eye and focused. I used mana before. Maybe I wasn't proficient at it but that didn't mean that I was born yesterday. I stopped focusing on my "outer body". My muscles became relaxed. I stopped clenching my fist and teeth. Edward told me that people mimicked other things to control their mana. No, that wasn't correct. Mimic wasn't the right word.
"This is my inner world?"
Everyone had a different mind. Different inner worlds. They didn't mimicked other things, they just visualized their inner world. Mine were…
"A night dimly only with stars and moon. They are trying to light up the Earth with all of their might, yet they fail. Only few small patchs of dark clouds on the sky. They don't care about the Earth beneath them. They just ride the wind, wondering aimlessly. Lastly, I stand, all alone. I raise my hand to sky. But I don't want to reach the stars. Nor do I want to grab the clouds. All I want is stand there and enjoy the calm night."
(You managed to control the mana.)
(All stats are increasing.)
(You acquired passive skill Mana Circulation(Night).)
(Due lack of mana circuits this skill is incomplete and can't be given a ranking. Form mana circuits to complete this skill.)
(Completing this skill will allow you to expand your mana pool and use mana more freely.)
Mana Circulation? That was a skill every hunter dreamed of! Other mana related skills usually allowed one to use mana in limited ways. But that skill was different! As long as you had the skill and mana pool, you could do basically everything.
"That is an interesting way to control mana. I see that Tigon's worries were well founded."
"I am sorry?"
I must have a confused expression on my face. Alucard looked at me, smiling. Right now I felt like his smile was smug, rather than warm.
"The way you just controlled the mana was the same as how Black Calamity controls his mana."
"Grh!"
I was slammed the wall my Elizabeth's mana. Just with her fucking mana! No spells, no skills. Just mana. How strong was she?
"I said enough."
It was so fast that I couldn't even say "Why me?". Did she really got angry to Alucard and slammed me to wall? Talk about abusive relationship.
"I don't think tossing him around wasn't a nice, Sister."
Goddamn it did he enjoyed me getting tossed around?
(You been exposed to huge amounts of vampiric mana. The speed of your awakening is fastening.)
What the fuck?
"Anyways. Since I gave you the "fuel", I should now drive you around, don't you think?"
I nodded.
"Will Talbot and the ghoul. They must be killed. We can't allow them to roam around freely. As the representative of the Vampire Council, I order you to track down and kill them. I hope that fits you too, Sister?"
I felt mana rose from Elizabeth's mana again. I expected the be slammed to wall again but it didn't happened.
"I already plan on taking care of them. You don't need to worry."
While she told Alucard that he didn't need to worry, her tone told me to worry.
"Of course our main objective is Wolfgang, the boss of Will Talbot. So, it would be nice to get information about him and his plans. But that's a problem we must face, not you. Your mission is getting rid of them, as quickly as possible."
"I understand."
"Very well. You are dismissed. Good luck on your mission, Burak Sarı."
His smile reminded me of a foxes. I bowed and left the room.
"You must be tired. Please follow me."
Butler was there. Was he waiting for me?
"Don't be alarmed. I will only lead you to guest room."
