On our Way to town, I've asked the old man some questions about this world. The mention of dungeons and monsters only gave me a sense of Joie de Vivre as it imprinted a smirk on my face, it didn't really surprise me that much as I've expected something like this already. What really flabbergasted me was the mention of Arcana. It was the term that I used in the novel that I vaguely wrote instead of 'magical weapons' because it sounded Cliché. Even so, I wasn't yet Entirely convinced of the Hypothesis I've made in my head. The old man who's name was Norvic was quite surprised by my ignorance, regardless, I was able to know more about this body that I've taken control of. My Name is apparently Klein, I've heard it on the memories that flooded my head moments ago. I guess Klein, the real Klein was acquainted with this old man, It seems I'm already 20 years old since the old man mentioned when he insulted me due to my ignorance.
(You've been living here for 20 years and yet. . .Blah blah blah)
After an hour of walking accompanied by the Constant blabbering of the old man about my ignorance of basic knowledge within this world, the town was finally in sight. We sped up the pace of our walking as we arrived in front of what seemed to be a large Gate that opens the way to the town. There were two Guards guarding the gate, they were dressed up in Armor from head to toe while holding a halberd upright that seems to have a gem engraved unto it's socket, the guard on the left had a Reddish gem on the halberd while the other had a bluish one. "state your business" the guard on the left spoke in a rather high tone of voice.
"We're delivering 3 sacks of wheat fresh from our farm" Norvic Replied as the gaze of the guard speaking turned to me. "And you?" A brief moment of Silence crept in, the old man Norvic must've got a gist that I didn't know what to say and answered on my behalf to avoid suspicion. "He's my humble Son Klein, this is his first time visiting town after months of plowing the field so he's not yet accustomed to talking with others except me"
The guard glanced on the sacks carried by the wagon and back at us suspiciously. "you may pass" the guard spoke in a Magnanimous tone as the old man and I walked pass the gate with the wagon still being pulled on my back. We were greeted by a street bustling with Cacophonous sounds from merchants and denizens alike. "Thanks for saving me there gramps" I spoke genuinely without looking at the skinny old man.
"Well, you did help me the Wagon, that will serve as your compensation now scram, I'll take it from here" The old man then disappeared in the crowd as he took the Protruding Handle from me and started pulling out of my sight. I let out a sigh as I placed my hands inside my pocket before walking on the bustling streets. It was time for me to do my own research, Sadly, I couldn't bring myself to ask for questions about basic knowledge to any of the people, they'd only become suspicious of me and might even accuse me of being a criminal on the run from a far away land. The cheers of a crowd gathering in the middle of the crossroad where a Fountain resided and two Bulletin boards with a piece of paper attached on it belatedly caught my attention. in front of the bulletin board, a man of Broad stature was Speaking loudly. I made my way through the crowd to see what it was all about. beside the man speaking, there was a pedestal with a fine piece of cloth laying on the flat space on top carrying a translucent Orb. "Recruitment is open for those who dreamed of being a Raider! but before we go into that, please fall in line and touch this Arcane Device to know whether you have a potential Arcane Element and which Element do you Possess!" After those words flowed inside my ears, I became convinced, from the gem of the murderer in the memories, the gems on the halberd of the two guards guarding the gate. A smirk formed on my mouth. This world, the air I'm breathing, the ground where I'm currently standing and the cheering crowd, I was the one who created them. I have been transported to the novel that I wrote.
