Ezra woke up with a jolt as he breathed heavily. His usually lit up bedroom was surrounded in complete darkness. Ezra furrowed his eyes brows as he stood up, his torn, patched blanket dropping from his shoulders. He glanced around only to see nothing. It was, after all expected, since he was in darkness. He waved his hand around to feel his surroundings. He felt a bumpy surface and began lightly tugging it, only to have an entire stack of concrete fall onto him. He fell right onto the muddy floor. Ezra groaned. What on earth was happening? He was sure that he was not in his usual bedroom. Could it be that he was caught? No, it wasn't possible. He had never once been caught and he had no memory of getting caught either…so what was the situation?
Ezra touched the muddy floor. He raised an eyebrow when a somewhat sweet smell came from the muddy floor. That was weird….there shouldn't be anything sweet on the floor right now, especially since the floor is so muddy, right? Just then, footsteps was heard and a loud bang was heard when the broken, wooden door burst open. Light filled the room. Ezra immediately tried to shelter himself from the sunlight. For some reason, he felt especially uncomfortable when in contact with the sunlight. He felt a somewhat small burn on his arm that he used to shelter his face. He hissed.
However, now, he was a lot more concerned with what the sweet substance on the floor was. Barely able to open his eyes due to the sunlight, he glanced at the floor. His eyes widened. How was it possible?!
