Ever since she knew who her enemy was, Adriana had been trying her best to act normal. Especially when she found out that Jeremy had held her father and mate captive. If there was anyone she was more afraid for, it was her father. He was old and grey and she wouldn't want anything wrong to happen to him.
She wasn't worried for Rafael because she knows he wouldn't allow himself to be caught that easily she believe he would surely find a way for himself, but that was not the same case with her dad. She was afraid for her dad and what he might be going through, especially since Jeremy must have told him he was the one who abducted her.
Adriana sat at the long dining table and waited patiently for Harriet to serve them. Jeremy sat at the far end of the table which was opposite hers. He seemed to be reading a book, but she could tell that he was stealing glances at her time after time.
