{Andrew's Point of View}
I looked at Rosabel who was smiling at me softly. Although I wanted to be angry I could not. She was planning to push the power towards her now and I could feel it in her eyes.
But no one had ever called me Drew? I wanted to tell this ignorant lady to think before she speaks but before I could, Rosabel said in a soft tone.
"I hope you didn't mind. After all, you called me Rose all of a sudden, so I thought we were now on a nickname basis. Was I wrong?" Her voice was soft but in my ears, it felt like a sweet dripping was revenge.
How was I supposed to answer? I do not want her to think that I am a man who does not know how to take a joke. Maybe I should behave normally. 'Drew?' She needs to find a good nickname for me.
Although I had a lot to think about now, I still smiled. "You weren't wrong. We should call each other lovingly. But isn't Drew a little …" I could not find a suitable word to say. Should I say weird? But that is a part of my name. I cannot say that my name is weird.
"Anyways, let's just talk about our next plan. I feel like now that we are on good terms and comfortable in each other's presence, it should be good that we know a little more about one another." I said as I looked into Rosabel's eyes. I could feel like she was about to refuse so I continued in a hurry, stopping her in her thoughts.
"You see I feel like my parents might ask you some very typical questions. Maybe something that a girlfriend should know and I feel like your parents would do the same. It would be better if we know about each other's family situation and their likes and dislikes so that we do not create any unwanted situation. Are you finding some logic in my words because your face is telling me a completely different story?"
I looked at Rosabel who was blank. She had no expression on her face but her eyes were narrowed as if she was listening to a person who was sick in the head.
I never wanted to be deemed someone crazy but looking at Rosabel, I knew that I was a crazy man in her small head. After all, who just randomly goes and asks them to be their fake girlfriend? Who would just go to pick them up every day, bring them breakfast and decide to drop them at work? And on top of it, I've also decided to spend some time together.
I sighed. But I was not ashamed at all. What was there to be ashamed of? I was a man who had his eyes fixed on obtaining something.
I smiled and looked into Rosabel's eyes. She was surprised. Her mouth opened and closed from time to time, but that was still a little bit of hesitation. She looked like a fish, who did not know what to do and say.
A small laugh left my mouth, but I swallowed it soon. Something told me that if I did not keep my mouth shut then maybe it would get an earful.
Rosabel's eyes shined brightly and something in my body moved. I did not understand this feeling. I knew that Rosabel did not care, no matter how I look, no matter how much money I have, but something did catch her attention. My car. And that frustrated me.
I was used to getting all the attention. It was not something I was proud of but it came naturally to me. But now looking at Rosabel trying to shift as far away as she can from me makes me a little angry.
"You should think about what I'm saying. Because I'm pretty sure that if my parents find out about this, they will force me to go on a blind date or meet a few of their friends' daughters and I am too busy to deal with it. I don't know about you, but I need this to work so I cannot leave a single thing out."
I could see Rosabel's eyes flipping at points. What was she thinking? Why was her mind so closed up that I could not even see through it? Everything about her was getting on my nerves now, and yet she was not responding.
Was I an idiot who was talking nonsense? Maybe I am in her eyes, but of course, she should not be ignoring me so openly. Isn't it decency to just say a few words when someone is talking to you?
I saw Rosabel sigh. Her voice was soft as if she had thought through it all. "You are right, We cannot lay a single doubt in their mind. So what do you suggest?"
'Does she not like my company?' This thought came into my mind. I can hear reluctance very openly. Rosabel was not trying to cover it up. 'Rosabel does not want to meet me.'
I have never been rejected so many times. It was not that I had been actively going around after ladies but it was just a little uncommon. 'Let it be,' I told myself. 'We won't get too attached to each other and just go our separate ways when everything is done.'
"So how about not meeting then?" I said as I observed Rosabel carefully, "We can just chat when we are free and get to know about each other a little more? I heard this is what people do nowadays. You know, have a quick chat with one another for a period of time and then everything works out. Why don't we try it for ourselves?"
Rosabel was thinking. She raised her eyes a little as her gaze fixed on me. She looked like a real rabbit trying to escape and yet that was filled with curiosity.
"Okay," Rosabel said, but her words continue, "But do not wait for me after work. I do not want to get entangled in unwanted rumors."
'She is really avoiding me.' I was sure of it now. "Okay, but I will drop you off in the morning. There is no negotiation and we just have to do it for 2 days. Then it will be Valentine's day and everything will be over. I just don't want us to be too awkward and stuff around each other when the time comes, so I hope that will not be an issue for you."
Rosabel hummed softly and after a few seconds and as soon as the car stopped a little away from the company, she dashed out as if I was an evil spirit who was ready to eat her up.
I laughed when I saw her entering the company. I ran my fingers through my hair as I thought came in my mind, 'She really is unusual.'
